I've been keto for 6 months. I do have breakfast, mainly eggs and stir fried green vegetables, a bigger lunch, but my dinners are often very small. I've lost 50lbs and have no desire to go off diet.
Thanks again guys. I was very motivated when I first started going KETO/OMAD almost 8 years ago. Started OMAD 22/2 from the very beginning (not easy) and that has been my habit, 5 days a week ever since. Not looking back. Success and health to everyone!
Love it! So true - I broke out and ate sweets over the Thanksgiving weekend, gained 10 pounds! And felt terrible. It was hard to get back to keto and intermittent fasting but I have already lost the 10 lbs and starting to feel better again. I’m not sure I want to cheat again at Christmas.
Your keto journey is truly inspiring! Your commitment to simplicity and homestead-sourced meals is commendable. It's motivating to see a realistic approach to keto. I've personally found that embracing a realistic approach to keto, similar to yours, has been instrumental in my weight loss journey, helping me shed 50 pounds. Thanks for sharing your week with us! edit: For those interested in exploring a custom-tailored keto plan, feel free to find more details on my profile
I don’t comment often, but I didn’t want the opportunity to pass without saying how helpful I’m finding these videos. My husband and I are both looking to make the change to keto in January. We are using December as a practice month, meaning we are learning what we can about keto and introducing ourselves to exploring how to cook keto at home. We loved your Kizza❤😋
Love these keto meals. Thank you for taking time to make these videos. We’ve been following the keto diet for just a short while, and right away we noticed the increase in energy and not being hungry. Protein is great, fats are good, and carbs are tricky little things.
I did 12 months of carnivore with intermittent fasting (no breakfast) and lost 60 lbs. Once a month 48 hour fasting was super helpful. I’ve maintained my weight with ketovore for the past 12 months but I am considering carnivore again to get off the last 20 lbs. I still feel so much healthier and happier when I’m eating better (no sugar, seed oils or grains).
We were on keto a few years ago before C-19. For whatever reason, we went back to poor eating and have put weight on. As of January 1, 2024, hubby and I are back on keto. When we were on it before, we lost 60 pounds each. The only thing I can’t use but my husband can is Stevia. I’m very allergic to Stevia, which is part of the ragweed family. I only use Monk fruit or erythritol. We are also doing the Three Rivers Pantry Challenge so I won’t be going to the grocery store for quite awhile. 😁👍🏻 Thank you for sharing ❤
What I love most is the simplicity of the crockpot meals. I have a small homestead/ hobby farm and between taking care of the gardens and the animals, as well as the time processing all my harvest, I'm looking for easy meals. I wrote down a few of your tips and I'm going to incorporate more crock pot/ instant pot meals. Thanks so much.🥰
Excellent! We went vegetarian a couple of years ago for 6 months, then followed that up with 2 months keto ... then I totally fell off into junk. This past year we successfully did keto for 4 months until the holidays, and I fell off. We do feel MUCH better, healthier, physically, emotionally and mentally on Keto. We are now striking a balanced lifestyle between "regular", vegetarian and keto.
Keto for 4 months also IF. 70 yrs old lost 40 lbs and blood chemistry very good. Curious about what veggies you will be planting in the Spring after your food adjustment.
What worked for us, we would eat dinner, then not eat again until the next evening. We would have a massive cheat meal, usually a huge burger with fries and onion rings, lol😅. Then go right back to Keto. Within a few days, we would both drop weight. I know this isn't for everyone but I felt like our metabolism needed a reset.
You both look amazing. My husband and I have started Keto, too. The best sweetener we have found is Allulose. It tastes good, with no aftertaste. My husband is diabetic and it has little to no impact on his blood sugar as with the other sweeteners. I enjoy seeing what other people eat with this lifestyle. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge with us. We're in northern part of Missouri.. God bless you, and have a Merry Christmas..
Spiking and crashing is the key thing to get rid of. You are excellent role models. I’m not overweight, but I crave ANYTHING at ALL times. Thankfully I’m mostly able to resist, but it would be great to not have the minor struggle. It’s the carbs.
Ya'll, I stopped watching you guys nearly 18 months ago. I went keto and then on to carnivore. I had to cut a lot of things that were keto friendly but we’re still causing me issues. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s. Which meant I still have sensitivities to lots of foods because of it. So, I went on to carnivore. It was a struggle to watch ya'll and know some of the things I could not eat or grow in my garden anymore. I think it is wonderful that you are both keto and have been for a year now! Congrats on your progress! And thank you for calling it a lifestyle. It truly is a lifestyle! Unfortunately, some of what you guys ate in one week in this video would give me too many issues and I pay for it within 24 hours. The nuts, the sesame oil, and the Brussels sprouts are the big ones. Thank the light I can do dairy! Anyway, keep it up, the more of us that are keto, ketovore and carnivore the better the chances they will do proper medical studies about this being the best way for humans to eat!
I’ve been doing Keto since 7/21st due to high blood sugar. I’ve lost 18 lbs and went from diabetic numbers to pre diabetic. I do order Keto sweets once a week from a local small business.
After watching Brooke’s video about her new autoimmune symptoms, and recommending a keto way of eating to alleviate those symptoms, I decided two days ago to take my own advice. I’m following ya’lls advice about skipping breakfast, too. I’ve practiced Keto off and on for decades, and have really noticed its positive effects…getting rid of joint pain, and clearer thinking. THIS time, I’m hoping to take note of any mental health benefits. I hope that generally just feeling physically better will have a good mental health effect. It’s not easy getting older, and it can leave you down in the dumps.
I've been watching your videos for a couple of years now and I just want to say I think you both are amazing! And I was so glad to hear your on Keto! I've been on Keto for 3 years and love all the benefits! I intermittent fast as well! I will say however, and I do understand it is winter, but salad greens are so important for our nutritional needs such as kale, parsley and cabbage! Do you not grow cabbage and do slaw's? I do buy organic salad mix from the store during winter, add kale, red cabbage, carrot, beet root, radish and add olive oil, some herbs and a squeeze of lemon or apple cider vinegar. Also, sauerkraut is probably the BEST probiotic's and I add a small side to many meals. I love your meals! FYI...A wonderful substitute for potatoes and keto friendly is daikon radish! I grow them during the summer and fall and add to soups, Asian stir-fry's, salads, slaw's, and dice up in corn-beef hash! Anyway, my 2 cents..I have learned lots from you, thank you!
We've been doing keto for a year now. We don't miss anything, after awhile sugar becomes too sweet to eat. We did the same thing at Thanksgiving, but went right back the next day. Also we have stopped buying foods that have sugar, or white flour. We both feel so much better and the Dr likes it too. Have a great day. Be safe, much love.
Could you please make a video of those waffles you made? Those look delicious. Also, you eat a lot of pork rinds. Do you buy specific ones from somewhere, or do you make your own? If you make your own can you show us how you do that? Thanks.
I’ve been eating keto off and on for decades and it’s so fun to see what other people eat. I do love how simple you keep things. I think I will incorporate this! Thank you! I would love to see these types of what I ate this week videos again.
I've been 18 months on a mainly carnivore diet eating only one meal a day. I feel better than I have for twenty years. Weight loss was never my goal but the health bnefits are the real reason to consider this life style.
@@angelaraum1545 I had that sort of concern about keto for years after seeing several people I know become keto and had held back until now. The video discussions of Anthony Chaffee MD (that is the channel title) have completely dissolved those worries for me. He thoroughly covered all the nutrition and other questions and provides proof to back up what he is presenting. Keto and carnivore it turns out provide the highest amounts of nutrients a person can get!
Good for you guys! Protein is time-released energy so you stay satisfied. We eased into low carb by quitting just sugar the first week, then cutting other processed carbs. We don’t limit our carbs from veg very much, depending on how fast we are trying to lose weight. There is plenty of current research supporting keeping insulin down.
Thank you for showing your actual meal plans. The specific examples you showed prove it IS Possible to eat strict Keto without depriving yourself of good, tasty and satisfying food.

But especially the last several months our arthritis has been about to get the best of us. We will be getting back on keto starting after Christmas
I am on keto and don’t have a homestead. When I go to the grocery the non keto stuff looks revolting now. Had thanksgiving at church and immediately felt ill eating non keto food. I was diabetic, walked with a cane, and size 16. Now I am off insulin and don’t even test as diabetic, no cane, and wear size 4 jeans. Good job you guys. I’m 72 years old but people thin I’m a lot younger.
How long have you been living the keto way? Do you add mct oil or butter or anything to your coffee? My husband does, I'm not sure I can acquire a taste for it.

I began on Keto 2021. I began at 186.6 and now manage my weight down at 152.5-154 range. I can eat bread now and then. I make my own bread . I fast , with exception of morning coffee.. I do not eat breakfast nor lunch. My food window begins at or about 4pm- 530 at the latest. Very No processed meats .. like lunch meats.. typically eat beef and pork chops and chicken. Zero soda , do not like anything with Soy in it nor high fructose corn syrup. I use real homemade vanilla extract... Keto has treated me quite well.. my blood pressure is also way down. My Keto pizza is the the type made with cauliflower and cheese and egg base or crust. When away from home I do not stick so much to Keto because eating out to me now is a treat.. Best of luck to both of you ..
On your next Q & A video, how about explaining which crops you stopped growing when yo went Keto and what crops you started growing. Also, how does this affect your fruit trees>
This is perfect timing! I started intermittent fasting over a year ago an I'm down 50# so far. We decided on keto more recently and we have been struggling to think of meals that are fast and good that match our lifestyle. Thank you
Great video. I love getting ideas on what to eat. I have fallen off the wagon and really need to get back to it. I will eat more ketovore which helps my blood sugar better. I really enjoyed the video.
Love this content, you two! I did keto for 9 months before gradually shifting down to fewer than 20 carbs/day and finally to carnivore. Have felt better & better! I would assume you bring your own keto contribution to pot luck at church and therefore always have something that’s consistent with your way of eating. ❤
I don’t have a homestead so everything came from the store. When I was on keto, I found I was not hungry in between meals, only ate 2 meals a day, and no snacks, so my grocery bill was really appreciably less. Also, I concentrated on increasing my water intake which also helped minimize hunger.
I enjoyed seeing how you tailor your meals to what you produce. I do a modified version of this with intermittent fasting too, but wondered what kind of pork rinds you eat, do you make them yourselves?
Another way to fix brussels sprouts is to cut them in half,(takes away the bitterness) and cook them in a cast iron pan in unrefined coconut oil till brown turning occasionally. Delicious! 😊
Glad your having success. I intermittent fast and just eat more sensibly I have lost 135lbs Hit a plateau and getting more excercise & just moving more. Broke my hip and had 5 surgeries in 12 months. Just keep moving.
I started the keto/carnivore diet about 3 weeks ago and the “keto flu” is a real thing, i went through a week with migraines, which i never have or even headaches, but my body was going through the adjustment getting rid of carbs and sugar, kind of like an addict quitting something, but now I feel so good and have so much more energy and feel like i am loosing weight, I also walk 1.5 miles a day. Cant wait to have my next Dr visit and see my new bloodwork results, love your videos, they are helping me so much!
I've been doing IF/Lowcarb/Keto for 5 months and lost 37 lbs, trying to be good as I can this month. Feeling good and blood sugar is going down !! Love your channel !!!
Its great to see you share your commitment to better health through dietary changes. Funny how that becomes a priority for many of us along the time our children venture away from home. Ive had chronically ill people (COPD) tell me my diet isnt healthy since I stopped consuming carbs. 😊 At some point I stopped using the word "keto" and began substituting "very low-carb" (goal 20gm/day). That's how I've avoided being lectured. KETO helped me transition into OMAD. I feel my best having an hour of internittent eating after most of my strenuous, daily work is done. Usually around 3:00 to 4:00 PM. The rest of my day is filled with mundane household chores and business paperwork. My go-to dessert is a serving of strawberries (about half a cup) and cottage cheese sweetened if need be by a few drops of stevia. My once monthly fav cheat-treat is a cup of black beans (a complex carb) and two quartered corn tortillas fried in avacado oil. Add some melted cheese, taco sauce and sour cream and its a plate of Black Bean Nachos.
So glad to see that you guys have found a real food, ketogenic way of eating. My formerly type 2 diabetic husband has had an Hba1c in the normal range for 6+ years now. It's an easier way of eating than others would have you believe. Dr Westman is one of my favorite low carb doctors, he always keeps things simple.
I absolutely love this! I am day 7 of Ketovore (which is like animal based keto) Please make more videos about this!! Its such an inspiration and I have followed yall since the beginning. LOVE everything yall do!!!
Keto does so many good things for you. I can’t intermittent fast because my blood sugar dips too low. I rely on keto and have for 3 years and I make most things from scratch too. I too rely in what I grow but my garden laid fallow last year-but I prepared for that and grew twice as much. I get meat and fat from my rancher friends and my eggs from another friend. This way I can stay out of the store. I think you guys look great!!
I'm older and I've gradually found organic things like raw milk, grow most of my veges, eat more meat etc. I'm finding I don't get hungry between meals on organic food. I feel much better in the gut and don't get tired during the day. Thanks for the recipes💐🌻
What plant is that next to your sink? I love you guys are eating Keto. I am Carnivore at the moment and intermittent fasting. Trying to get my diabetes numbers down to 5.4
I’m sure you never thought God would use your lives of growing healthy foods to change sooooo many lives w/a Keto food plan. So many people NEED healing & weight loss from consuming non-God made foods, worldly foods that falsely advertise & deceive people of its heathy value. So much physical healing happens during sleep and during fasting, which is very important for those who are in recovery from consuming man made & over processed foods. Those foods have high added salts, sugars & sweeteners - often even camouflaged in the labeling. It’s fantastic you shared some of ur Keto meals, healthy products and portion sizes. BRAVO you guys!! Praying God richly blesses you both ❤

One meal a day. That brings your fasting to 20+ hours & keeps my calories at a level I can lose lbs. @@susewambold8175
One meal a day
Also try “Sparkling Ice zero sugar” with two tablespoons heavy cream over crushed ice. It’s so good.

I've been carnivore since Aug. & love it. Congratulations on your weight loss.
I think I want to start this. Is there a good channel to learn how? How much meat to buy? Esp for a single parent that is struggling with$.

Watch the video: Carnivore diet basics by Dr. Ken Berry.
Thank you for sharing ❤
You look great.
I have to say, when you two decide to do something, you stick to it and the result is wonderful. I made your keto pizza and everyone loved it.
THANK YOU sooooooo much for the new food videos!!!! Love them!
You are my #1 site to watch
You guys are awesome. I've been doing this since April. Lost 23 lbs. Stalled since September but I am so much healthier.
Your skin is glowing! I’m blown away by how beautiful your skin is!
Please think about doing more Keto meal videos, Love it !!!
Will do!!
Please, do a keto cookbook, like your rabbit cookbook. Great video!
Love this video. Rutabaga is a great substitution for potatoes
Loved this video and love the foods you eat. Thanks for taking the trouble to film this for us!
Older is great! Just don't get old!!
GREAT. THANKS FOR SPREADING THE NEWS. MANY PEOPLE WILL BE HEALTHIER BECAUSE OF YOUR VIDEO. HAPPY HOLIDAYS.
Thank you for sharing. You two look really good.
So appreciate this information! Perfect for homesteaders who need to stay well ❤
Could you please make a video of those waffles you made? Those look delicious. Also, you eat a lot of pork rinds. Do you buy specific ones from somewhere, or do you make your own? If you make your own can you show us how you do that? Thanks.
I’ve been eating keto off and on for decades and it’s so fun to see what other people eat. I do love how simple you keep things. I think I will incorporate this! Thank you! I would love to see these types of what I ate this week videos again.
Thanks for sharing. All the food u eat looks very good and healthy 😋
Sorry it took so long to comment, but I have watched this 3 times. You both look fantastic. Keep up the good work, love these videos.
I've been 18 months on a mainly carnivore diet eating only one meal a day. I feel better than I have for twenty years. Weight loss was never my goal but the health bnefits are the real reason to consider this life style.
How do you know yr eating enough that yr not malnourished? I'm very interested in this to get off meds.
Im 66 & have been on keto/ketovore for 3 months. I only eat from 11 to 4.. (some days i only eat at 4) your right I'm never hungry the rest of the time.. I've lost weight & feel better..
Thank YOU for ALL of your DELICIOUS Keto Ideas…!
🎉❤🎉. Shelly
Been on low carbs diet. Started with keto and mainly stick with that but I love smoothies. But no cravings. I was a noodle addict. Now I don’t crave them. I have lost 30 pounds. I have a lot of arthritis and mobility issues not very high. I really enjoy your cooking keto videos. Keep them coming.
Please show us your yogurt and cheese making. Well done! 💐💙🙏🇺🇲
We started the Keto lifestyle along with fasting 3 weeks ago,so this is perfect timing.
Wow!!! I didn't realize I basically eat the same as you!!! I eat lunch and dinner every day!!! Only 40 carbs at dinner!!! I lost 20 lbs and feel Great!!! God Bless Us All!!!
Diced radishes are also great in soup. Love chaffles too. Love your nativity shirt.
My daughter and I were on keto for about 3 years then on Christmas 2 years ago we backsled into our old way of eating. We felt so much better while we were on keto.
@@donnameacham4426 going on 2 yrs. I use Stevia and a little heaven cream or sugar free caramel powdered creamer. There is no set way to do keto. You make choice that help you maintain your keto life style that work for you. Everyone is unique. I follow various keto channels for ideas. The keto twins is a good one, CJs keto Kitchen is another. Not a fan of almond flour or fathead dough so have switched to coconut flour recipes. Janis delicious keto kitchen is good for coconut flour easy recipes. Hope you find your special path. As long as you enjoy it you will stick with it. Have fun…”Don’t worry-be happy”. Merry Christmas
Oops, Janis low carb keto
I began on Keto 2021.
I began at 186.6 and now manage my weight down at 152.5-154 range. I can eat bread now and then. I make my own bread . I fast , with exception of morning coffee.. I do not eat breakfast nor lunch. My food window begins at or about 4pm- 530 at the latest.
Very
No processed meats .. like lunch meats.. typically eat beef and pork chops and chicken.
Your canned green beans look amazing
Love you guys! I lost almost 60 lbs on keto. Be careful of gallstones though ❤❤
I enjoyed seeing how you tailor your meals to what you produce. I do a modified version of this with intermittent fasting too, but wondered what kind of pork rinds you eat, do you make them yourselves?
no we do not. those are one thing we still buy in the store.
Another way to fix brussels sprouts is to cut them in half,(takes away the bitterness) and cook them in a cast iron pan in unrefined coconut oil till brown turning occasionally. Delicious! 😊
I saute them in bacon grease and put the crumbled bacon on the top. Really good eats!
Glad you folks found this too.❤
U look great
Glad your having success. I intermittent fast and just eat more sensibly
I have lost 135lbs Hit a plateau and getting more excercise & just moving more.
Keep it up guys! We are right there with you!
I've been doing IF/Lowcarb/Keto for 5 months and lost 37 lbs, trying to be good as I can this month. Feeling good and blood sugar is going down !! Love your channel !!!
I LOVED this video, it has helped me so much with meal ideas and recipes; I am new to keto❤️🎄. Please keep sharing meal ideas and recipes!!!!
Its great to see you share your commitment to better health through dietary changes. Funny how that becomes a priority for many of us along the time our children venture away from home.
Ive had chronically ill people (COPD) tell me my diet isnt healthy since I stopped consuming carbs. 😊
At some point I stopped using the word "keto" and began substituting "very low-carb" (goal 20gm/day).
Everything looks yummy. Love the True Story tee!
Great video hope you do this again 👍
So glad to see that you guys have found a real food, ketogenic way of eating. My formerly type 2 diabetic husband has had an Hba1c in the normal range for 6+ years now. It's an easier way of eating than others would have you believe. Dr Westman is one of my favorite low carb doctors, he always keeps things simple.
I absolutely love this! I am day 7 of Ketovore (which is like animal based keto) Please make more videos about this!! Its such an inspiration and I have followed yall since the beginning. LOVE everything yall do!!!
Everything looked so delicious 😊 Especially Monday supper!
This video encourages me to go back on Keto. Thank you for sharing your food lifestyle.
Blessings, looking great
What plant is that next to your sink?
Praying God richly blesses you both ❤
So glad you’re doing this..would love to see more of it..husband and I are going to try keto at the first of the year..this is very helpful…
Can you show us how to make Greek yogurt? That would be greatly appreciated
not sure if you you know it or not, bit wal mart carries the lime-aid on their shelves. they also have sure-lemon by the same company.
Thank you for sharing your meals. I love how you are eating from your land!
Love your “true story” tee shirt!
You made a soup using left over pork shoulder roast and you use a rutabaga in it. Can you provide that recipe as well since nice it’s winter do you have any soup recipes you could have share? I appreciate your videos you are a sweet couple.
I just started keto/low carb/intermittentant fasting a few weeks ago. I am so glad you are posting these meal ideas, I need ideas to keep going. So far doing great.
Awesome video. I’ve been watching you both for a couple of years now, as we were starting our farm life. (I learned to bake bread from Kevin) We kinda stopped watching when we started our keto lifestyle. We were pleasantly surprised (thrilled actually)that you are keto. We are back watching you guys and love knowing you are on this journey, using your farm fresh food. Keep up the grand work, and I’ll be looking forward to your cookbook!! 😉😉🥰👍
My husband does carnivore. He ate pumpkin pie the day after Thanksgiving and he paid for it in the bathroom. Our family eats Sunday supper together. Three of us take turns cooking. My son, grandson and husband allow themselves to cheat if nothing else is available like you folks. It works for them.
Thank you! This really did help because you showed us it is very doable, and delicious. No specialty foods needed.
Thank you for explaining how you are eating on a daily basis. Can you share how you make your Greek yogurt?
Good evening! Making me hungry watching all this food 😊
I like to see y’all still have “a treat” keto is my favorite way to eat. Just need to get my husband on board.
