You have such a mature viewership base. I haven't seen any comments critizing the amount of hair that was cut! It gets so tiring seeing that across platforms.
It’s def advice for your scalp too, I literally got sunburn on my scalp on my trip to MV a cpl wks ago, wearing flat twists. Kind of messed up my whole trip, scalp was so sore, tender & hot to the touch! 😣 Be careful out here in the sun yall
@@honeybun3492 Great question! I’m actually sticking to Sulfur 8 or any medicated grease for the cooling effect (Design Essentials also makes a good one). The mistake I made was putting Amla oil on my scalp after getting the flat twists done, not realizing that there’s a high Vit C content in it which often dries out the scalp- so it was a double whammy for me! My scalp literally started to feel raw. 😖 So putting a thin layer of grease works the same as putting lip balm on your lips before going out in the sun. It stops it from being chapped, skin cracked, and/or burning (and in my case for my lips, darkening!) And yet I’m sure that happened to my scalp too. Hope this helps!

I’ve taken a lot of your advice and my hair is thicker and healthier than ever. I put my hair in pony tails but I’ve stopped making them so tight and changed the hair tie to satin ones. Hi, I noticed you are not using the Revair. Is there a reason? You did a great job on her beautiful hair. You are so gentle with your clients....nice to watch. 🎉
Hello, I'm a white person peeking in on your channel and appreciate your message about speaking up in the salon because I struggle with that. As far as pony tail breakage, I have super fine hair that breaks off really easily. I wear it up in a bun for everyday. I recommend Kooshoo elastics which are 100% cotton and natural latex rubber. Their flat pony holders are so soft and hold my escape artist hair really well in place without too much tension. They claim to be developed for all textures of hair in mind, so they might be worth checking out. Compostable at end of life. Before that I had started using ribbon elastics which also hold a ponytail/bun in slippery fine hair without brutalizing it. I've also used silicone ties which are great for holding very tightly in place almost like a rubber band, but will let go of the hair without damage when carefully removed.
It looks like she keeps her pony in the middle like I used to do. I was suggested to move my ponytail around to prevent this kind of breakage. Have a middle ponytail one day, low left another, right side pony, high pony.
