I was going to say the same thing lol. the understeer part in particular. I have yet to have my RS5 understeer ever. I'm sure the comp package makes it handle even better, but the standard RS5 is incredibly competent.

As beautiful and wonderful as that car is I would still choose my 2019 s5 coupe prestige, all the options, great power and 50k-70k less. Plus the flat bottom steering wheel feels so much better, i get that they made heated steering standard but man the round wheel just loses that sporty feel. Great video!
Just signed for a 2018 S5 Sportback, I also love the steering wheel, and I definitely prefer the noticeable lack of piano black trim. The newer infotainment is set up better but the MMI control wheel is better just for the fact that you don’t have to use a touchscreen. The newer model’s matte carbon trim is maybe a little nicer than the gloss carbon though 🤷🏻♂️

I had the 2021 “regular” RS5 coupe, and was very underwhelmed. also, the spring/shock rebound (non mag ride) was so bad on my local bumpy roads was so unbearable, I got rid of it within 9 months. luckily I made money on the car lol. sounds like this Comp would have solved that problem tho. but F that, for $115,000+ CAD.
I have a 2019 RS5 in Navarro with full carbon kit. It looks as special as the Competition but I had to tune it to make the power I wanted. But the body control is poor when pushing to 9/10ths
Riddle me this, how does the Audi competition package cost more than the BMW equivalent add-on but add 0 horsepower. I paid an extra few thousand on my M4 to get the competition and it gave me like ~30HP as well.

I was wondering what your opinion would be on this. If you had to chose between this RS5 Comp or a Cadilac CT4v Blackwing with 10speed auto which would you choose and why. Your opinion would be just from the Driving experiences and not about practicality of a Sedan. Just purely from the prospective of pure overall experience.. Thanks.
I loved the CT4 Blackwing, but not the 10-speed auto. The CT4 BW with the Manual is a phenomenal car - better to drive than the RS5 Comp with better steering feel a more responsive chassis. That said, the RS5 Comp is much better looking with a vastly nicer interior. The CT4 BW is tens of thousands less, but the interior reflects that price.

I love this RS5 Comp, do you think they offer 19 inch wheels since it's a handling focused car you do need that extra sidewall, if your on the track for more grip.
Uh yeah it is. Complete suspension that is adjustable, carbon ceramics, different competition wheels and many other things that change the ride alot. But the rs5 standard is plenty sporty and handles very very well
It looks great and would have been my next car. But after owning two Audis and dealing with reliability and customer service problems, I’m done with them.

There are a few inaccurate information in this video. The RS4/RS5 does NOT have a front biased AWD system. It's actually rear biased. What you referenced in the video is the RS3, which is front wheel biased and only sends 50% of the power to the rear and is capable of sending 100% of that 50% to one wheel. For an ease of remembering. All S and RS models abover the RS3/RSQ3 are rear wheel biased.
The misnomer of this is that another trim. It's not. It's a package just like drivers assistance is a package so it won't have a badge. Would be nice because it would make it easier to find used.

So 3.57s 0-60 with a 0.3s 1ft rollout (as he uses) is an actual time of 3.87s. That time goes up by about a second if launch control isn't used. A stock BMW M340i xDrive does 4.0 seconds flat without a rollout, offers a real rwd platform, way more technology, and included maintenance for 40K less.
Everyone’s conditions are different. The standard RS4/RS5 is capable of a 3.3 second 0-60 check joe achilles or other journalist’s videos. The M340 is quick but this is much quicker

Too much gloss, piano black interior pieces in the majority of the Audi model lineup. These _never_ age well and in the great state of Arizona, they tend to be a safety hazard due to the reflection of the sunlight. Although, this Competition package does omit a large portion of that gloss black in favor of carbon fiber which I applaud. Furthermore, I am personally not a fan of these new Audi gauge clusters. The current Audi and BMW model line have the ugliest gauge cluster in my humble opinion. Especially the RS mode with that odd looking dual staging tree design which animates in the opposite direction. It's awkward to say the least. Not to mention, Audi's tend to feel more and more disconnected* the further they slip down the electronic rabbit hole. I miss the days of the B5 Bi-Turbo Audi's. They were the last of the truly mechanical Audi's before everything went full digital wizardry. My vote still goes to the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. Great review nonetheless Miles.
