was struggling to get the gasket back into place on a different brand of water bottle but this was still super handy. Just used the flat end of really anything - Personally I used the handle of a cleaned nail - clippers and it did the trick. I was kind of "chasing" a buldge in the gasket down, but it was surprisingly easier to take the whole thing out and put it back in again.

That's a great question. It is something we are considering. But would you and buyers purchase a gasket replacement pack for $7.49 if a new costco bottle is not much more? We are hoping buyers would as it is much more environmentally friendly to just replace gaskets.

Hi - That is my Wide Mouth Hydro Flip 20oz bottle. Remember that when choosing the gasket replacement size, make sure the gasket is designed for the specific cap that you have. In this video, I replaced my Hydro Flip cap gasket. It is the first link in the description. We make gaskets for all the other wide mouth caps too.

Hi Rumeel12708 - we currently sell 3 models of the wide mouth gaskets on Amazon/eBay. You should choose the gaskets that fit your wide mouth cap. They should be either the Coffee Flip, Flex Cap (one with the handle), or the Straw Lid Cap.

Just curious why you replace the gasket while the lid is wet? Does it ensure a proper seal? Won't the gasket be more likely to get mold or mildew? Thank you
Hi - That is a great question. The water isn't necessary to ensure a proper seal. But you are right. It might be better to dry the gasket before putting it back on. For the sake of shortening the video, I didn't do that step. I don't think it is completely necessary as I now like to remove the gasket at least once a week to clean the cap thoroughly.
Why don't you sell the different gaskets individually? Why would I want to buy a package of 6 if only 2 will fit my bottle?

cleaned cap and gasket but still too tight. Took olive oil on index finger and lubricated gssket and all parts. Then....so nice how it turns open and closed.
*I have a serous question and I need the answer badly. Say if you bought a hydro flask sports cap and you wanted to change into a wide mouth could you just switch the caps or would you have to buy a whole new one ?*
The wide mouth caps are interchangeables.

The gasket has two sides: a flat side and a round side. When the lid is upside down(not upright when you screw on the lid) Do I place the flat side down first or the round side down? In other words, Flat side faces up to interface with the hydroflask or round side presses against the hydroflask?
This is the most important question here....
The round side goes down first so that the flat side will be pressed against the hydroflask when u put the lid back on

Which way does the gasket go in? Smooth side up or ridged side up???
Hi Rachel - It needs to be smooth side (flat side) against the cap. The ridge side should on hugging the lips of the bottle.
