For anyone considering doing this, It only took me about 12 feet total of paracord and I only had about 5 inches at the end to cut off. In one of the comments below, I noticed the poster had recommended 20 ft for each of the two strands and this was way too much.
Yes! I just made one with the recommended 10ft per color to total 20ft and it was way too much. I had at least 4 ft of each color left over. Other than that this is a great video and it turned out just like his.
I don't want to rain on the parade, but I wouldn't trust your ring not to stretch/break, although it's good that the cord is a back-up. However, the fact that it only fits one size is a downer. I just use paracord to make a ring with a buckle half on each side, and a lock where the ends join. Then I make basically a Cobra bracelet, which snaps onto the buckles on the ring. (Easier seen than said.) ... Nice video, though. : )
The interior diameter of the bottle ring is 2.6 inches (66mm). The plastic is somewhat flexible, so it should be able to fit slightly larger or smaller bottles.
If the ring is too tight to put over lip, try submerging the plastic ring in super hot/just boiled water for a few seconds then try it. If it doesn't work, submerge a little longer and try again. The hot water softens the ring so it can stretch a little to go over the bottle lip.
For a King Cobra you need about 3 feet of cord for every inch of final knotwork. It's hard to give an exact estimate as it depends on the tightness and closeness of your knots, but I think 20 ft. total of each color should be enough to make this with a King Cobra handle.
They are called '3 hole safety water Bottle Rings' and can be found here: www.paracordplanet.com/3-hole-safety-water-bottle-ring-black/ Hope this helps!
This video was a life saver but the cord lengths? Come on! 10 ft is way too much. You really need 8ft of one color and 6ft of the other at the most. Seriously I had over 5ft of one color left over and nearly 3ft left on the other. Save your cordage people! If you use 7ft of each color, you will still have plenty to work with. you definitely don’t need 20 ft total.
Thank you so much for posting this. I seriously watch it every time I make a handle. Much appreciated
Glad it was helpful!
Very creative
Would you do a video like this but a cross body strap for the water bottle
Excellent job I've been a bit stagnant with my paracord hobby and this is a great idea to get me back into it :)
Do you have a way to make a similar handle for a hydro flask that doesn't have the lip? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Awesome video. I was just wondering when the next video was coming and a notification came up on my phone with a new video. Great work
Can you do a video on one for a cross over for the water bottle??
The shopping list needs to be updated.

Can you do a video on how to re-tighten it when it's loose please??? 😖😔
Will the 3 hole safety water bottle ring fit a Mizu V12 36oz water bottle? Your tutorials are alway right on...very good teaching techniques...thanks

Can you do a water bottle holder Cross body sling?
Great suggestion. We'll add that to our list of ideas for future videos! ✌️
@@ParacordPlanet Thank you so much in advance. 🤗
Hi! How what length of cord do you think I would need to make a cross body strap?
Can you add beads to this? To add a name to it?
When will have the rings back in stock?
I’ve tried for over an hour and I cannot get it on

What size bottles do the rings fit.??
They fit most wide mouth water bottles. Interior diameter is about 2 1/2 inches.
What length of the two colors would be needed to make the handle a King Cobra?

What is name of the round piece you start with. I can’t find it

You can make this with paracord, scissors and a lighter. The rest is extra.
