They are two different animals. Give yourself some slack. You now know what it will take to reach these optimal turning thresholds to be efficient and confident. Practice makes perfection. Then continuous practice to maintain it. Well done.

I like that “ he gets tired of picking up cones” I would most likely be dismissed..
