i have 2 remotes for my garage door.
1 has stopped working due to use. (Have to mash the button like 10 times for it to work)
1 works perfectly (the one i keep in the car).
After watching this video, i think ill just buy a new remote and program it.

Is DIP swithches position in the second Remote the same or must be set differently with the first one?

I have an Overhead Door operator that currently has 3 or 4 remotes paired. What is the max number of remotes allowed?
If I have one liftmaster chamberlain remote and want to program another Clicker model KLIK1C remote control, will both remotes still will work
Is there a maximum number of connected remotes that we can't exceed?
Genie claims they will accept 6 to 7.

Hi thank you for the video I have a quick question. once I was able to add the remote control for the door opener my touchpad no longer worked from outside. Am I able to use both the remote control or the touchpad that I have attached outside outside the garage? It's a 4 digit code...

The two remotes I received have a more complicated procedure involving pressing a button on the back then pressing one of the buttons on the front twice depending on the color of the learn button on the door operator, in my case purple for the learn button. Then pressing and holding the learn button, the purple button, at the same time pressing the same button on the remote...one worked the other did not.
I have one remote for my garae door and I bought two more to be needed for other family members. The new remote I bought are compatible with my garage door opener ( Chamberlain). My question is if I follow your process as you show on the clip, to program the new remote it will not affect the existing remote and the car remote that I have been using now. From your video looks like it should not but I want to clarify.

So how do you remove a button from syncing with a garage door? I had a spare unit that I now need. The installer for some reason had button 1 & 3 open garage door #1. I would like to remove garage #1 from button 3 and replace it with Garage door #2. I tried your step anyway, and now button 3 opens both garage doors. Great video BTW!!!

I have a Genie and bought 2 additional remotes. If I program one, it works. If I program the 2nd one, the first one quits working.
My linear LD033 the clicker has to be within 3 feet of the opener for it to work, the learning light is always on, kinda flickering but always on. wall panel works. reprogrammed the opener, changed battery, clicker works on another door. erased memory and reprogrammed it, unplugged the opener and non worked, any tips
I know this comment is old, but I was having similar issues after replacing the lightbulb with an LED one. Make sure the lightbulb is an old fashioned incandescent bulb and then try again.

I bought two. 1 programmed without a hitch. The other I can't get to work is there a way to reset it?
I bought an older home that has a perfectly good Chamberlin garage door system (motor) it's older than 2005... only issue there was no opener given at closing, I tried to program a universal remote opener with no luck.... my question is could this motor just be too old to reprogram a new remote? Just wondering before I go spend $$$ on a new garage opener system. Thanks

When I program the remote to the opener it takes 4 clicks to open and to close. I’ve tried different remotes and it’s the same result and I don’t understand why. I’ve cleared the memory of opener and reprogrammed remote and same result

My Overhead 450A doesn’t have any little led of any color just a big old light bulb which goes on if I open the door from the doorbell and I don’t see any button to turn anything on or off on the unit

The old remote is all corroded inside so it is shot.
It could be as old as 1988. The door still goes up and down by using the wall button but it’s not convenient.

How do you program if you don't know the code; my home's previous owner did not remember the code.

Good video but I'm still at a loss. I have a 1997 Chamberlain Security +, 1/2HP Opener. It has a red programming button. Have 2 of the LiftMaster Security + remote openers. A 2011 Suburban with a 3 button opener by the mirror, and a 2019 Toyota with a 3 button opener by the mirror. I can't seem to get the trucks and the LiftMaster remotes programed to the same frequency so that all 4 will open the door. Can anybody point me in the right direction?
Make sure you are using the right remotes, red button ones require these- amzn.to/3s7KJQt. If you are, first clear all remotes by pressing and holding the red button for 6 seconds- the light will go on and off. Once cleared, start adding remotes starting with the two hand held units. Push the button and quickly release, and your light will go on for 30 seconds. Hit the button on the remote, wait a second, and then hit the button on the remote again. If it took the program, your door will open or close. Repeat for the second remote. Once the two remotes are programmed, go to your vehicle with one of the remotes and follow the program procedure specific to your vehicle. For instance on the suburban, press and hold the outside buttons on the truck's opener and the light will flash rapidly after 20 seconds. Then, press and hold the button you want to program and the button on your programmed remote holding the remote 1-3 inches away. Hold until the light on the truck's opener starts flashing slowly. Press the truck opener to confirm the program took. Repeat for the other vehicle.
2:02 - I get to this step, and nothing. No clicking. No bulb turns on. Nothing. Checked battery in the remote - brand new CR2032. Wall unit switch btw works fine. Reset the codes in unit. Tried this step again. Nothing.

Sometimes universal remotes are set up to have two channels. This requires you to change the channel prior to programming. It is usually the case that you’ll hold the first and third buttons on the remote until the led blinks. Then try the process in the video again and it should work.
@@GarageMaxedOut Appreciate the reply. Turned out I needed a whole new clicker. I guess old clickers with fresh batteries go kaput. New clicker ordered from Amazon. Went through the programming steps. Voila.
What if your remote was previously programmed to a different garage door house and now u want to program it to your new house. How do u erase and reprogram it to your new garage door? Tried a lot of things but nothing works.
Usually the common procedure is to hold down the first and third buttons for 10-15 seconds
Thank you! I tried this and it didn’t work. My issue was figuring out what color my garage button was. My remotes also had instructions on the back that said I needed to press the back button, ( very tiny button)
I suggest anyone read the instructions for their remote cuz the button color looked brown. Turns out it was purple 😅Mines are from Amazon 2 for $13 instead of 1 for $35😈

Just the new one unless you hold the Learn button for 30 sec, which will erase all remotes it has already learned.

I have an infinity type remote for my Chamberlain 2011 garage door. There is on one thing I need to know and that is the details of what remotes are compatible. Without this information the video is useless. I have tried every type of remote from Home Depot, Canadian Tyre including a garage door company and nothing works. I have googled this question and cannot find an answer. Not happy that this bit of key information is missing.

Can also buy from ebay (small store operators) or Lowes. I never buy anything from Amazon. Too much of a monopoly.
