I wanted to cry when she painted over that lovely blue wall! The new colour is lovely, but I liked the blue and I'm sure the owner liked the blue. All that wall needed was some modern artwork - I'm thinking a large black and white white photo with vertical lines to go with that silver lamp stand.
I really like how it turned out. Much more warm, mature and coherent all over. Love all of the gold mixed in with the blues, turqoise and pink. Really pretty. I love it...♡
I love the makeover! I was really expecting a horrible turnout after reading comments ahead. hahaha. In my opinion, it looked more classy and coastal. I also thought there will be lots of colors popping but the wall and colors probably have to be more consistent with the sofas. Overall, it is different and probably looks like somewhat others grandparents' houses (as they say so)? but back in their trends, i wonder if they hang patterns and frames in non-symmetrical way? If this is really a new trend, people may appreciate and adapt in a few years. 😆
Would have been fabulous if the wall color was changed but not to a mauve/antique rose color. Sticking with a jewel toned color pallet and shades of blue would have been a lot more striking with the other creations and gallery wall. Btw those command strips don't hang a thing. Never have for me. I've tried all sorts of brand name strips. Heavy ones with light items...etc... because they seem awesome! Nope! They have fallen off every single time.

I love the idea of the water paint design which world had looked great with the previous wall color. I would suggest breaking down the materials and tools use so we can refer to it as we redo some of the suggestions.

The owner summed the new look up when she said it was more grown up now, before it was more like a play room with all the bright blue x
