I only found this podcast about a year ago after the pandemic started (around the same time i realised I’m bi) and I’ve loved it! Thank you for joining me on me walks over the last year and for the laughs
gutted at this :( not trying to say this to make you guys feel bad bc i understand it’s completely out of your control, but just because i want you to know how loved your podcast was: this podcast’s first episode came out a month before i started uni, and (this is gonna sound pathetic but i’m saying it anyway) i always thought of it as a comfort to listen to when i was feeling lonely and needed some ‘gay company’, especially as you two have always reminded me of the relationship my best friend and i have (i’m a lesbian and my bestie is a gay man!!). then the panny struck and you were still around pretty much every week, and listening on my daily walks became such a nice source of stability, then i went back to uni in september and you were still there and i have looked forward to each episode every week ever since the beginning! highlight of many of my weeks honestly!! thank you amy and jack for being friends and being yourselves, and for making the vision you had of ‘dating straight’ into a reality. i’m sure you have helped and have given love and light to so many more people than you know 💓💓💗💕💞

i was in quarantine so also alone and needed gay, and I would listen to dating straight on my daily walks TOO, it was such a moment of quarantine. my brother (who i'm really close to) is gay and it was comforting hearing their convos bc I swear we'd have the same exact convos.
it's so so weirdly comforting too that someone else was listening and doing the same exact fucking thing during quarantine- we're never alone.

I totally understand about the lack of viewers during lockdown whilst you filmed at home, because I did only watch a few or skip through but that was not your fault. You both made the best out of an awful situation. I love your podcast and how real the topics of conversation are, as well as being funny and an escapism for many. Will really miss dating straight!

no matter what happens it was great to watch both of you grow so much watching jack go to new York, finish college and get a job after how stressed he was about it all was so sweet and watching amy letting herself love someone and them love her made me feel the same the last episode with rebecca when you both high fived after talking about how far amy had come made me smile so much it was like a full circle moment you both should be so proud of this podcast and everything you’ve achieved while doing it

This is fucking sad. I’ve grown so much with this show, as I started listening to this when I was 15 and I’m now turning 18 later this year. This show is literally the reason I turned up with like the slightest Australian accent at my English exam lol. Thank you, Amy, Jack and all your guests, so much for the time you’ve put into this, and the happiness you’ve brought so many along the way!

I didn't realise these podcasts were part of a network, (I Have no idea how youtube/podcasts etc work obviously). But you should just keep doing them as youtube videos, coz personally I prefer video content to sound only
