hey y’all! as a fellow person with ADHD and a educational assistant who works with kids of varying needs: ADHD isn’t a learning disability however ADHD and learning disabilities can commonly coexist. It can affect learning FOR SURE but it’s not considered an LD 💛
it's crazy how boys get diagnosed for adhd at like age 6 and girls are out here going undiagnosed into their 20s (27)! my friend also got diagnosed at 20 and only realized then that she was giving 10x more the amount of effort than neurotypical people just to get by in school and life. so congrats on the diagnosis amy hopefully it helps a lot!

Grandpa was an alcoholic and treated my grandma like shit, my dad left my mother and me when I was 3yo etc. But I still feel like love can be forever it just depends on the person you fall in love with and how well you communicate

I finally got a good full-time job. After weeks of repeating my resume 3 times to each company I was applying at.
Amy you are such a trip scorpio! They mystery gets me every time! Also i wanted to comment on the changes i experience from the pandemic as well because it is a huge part of history now and incredibly impactful. So I bought a 100 yr old 2 bed bungalow in May 2020 and it’s a 100 yr old, two bedroom bungalow. Because of covid i haven’t been able to have a house warning or any gatherings here. I have a massive back yard with a big deck and a decently sized front porch as well. I am so excited to get vaxxed and have my nearest and dearest over for back yard gatherings, dinners, music shows etc. I used to distract myself with constant social interaction and alcohol/partying. Now I’m just so excited to have a calm, meaningful and simple life, with the people i love closer to me than ever. I love how so many of us who have been lucky enough to survive the pandemic so far have had a massive reset on our former concept of normalcy as a direct result of the pandemic. I feel divinely confronted by my guides to do my shadow work and heal! I’m honestly looking forward to a new normal and not returning to my former behaviors! 💗

On the note of manifesting/eastern medicine/meditation debate, as a Southeast Asian who has gone into meditation (Plum Village tradition) and eastern (mostly Chinese and Indian) supplements, here are my two cents.
First of all, im also interested in quantum physics, but gurl, to back up all these astrological/manifestation things on quantum physics is really far-reaching. It looks more like confirmation bias and cherry picking to me. So, Amy, I like that you're enthusiastic about ways to heal oneself instead of relying on western medicine, but please be critical lest you become trapped in fake sciences.
Secondly, when jake was saying eastern medicine was all about herbs and plants, that's partly true. When combined with meditation, a lot of eastern healing practices also emphasize on the body's natural healing abilities. When an animal is wounded, they usually stop eating, walking and just rest for a few days. They know how to allow their body to heal. Humans have the same capacity, but now, we are too impatient to get well, and do not know how to relax our bodies so that it can heal on its own. of course, cancer is hard to beat with just relaxation, that's why many branches of eastern healing practices (including the one im learning and following of Plum Village), combine the two. Basically, if you make sure your body is tension-free, that you take care of your diet and living habits on a daily basis and especially when you're sick, then it makes it much easier to fight diseases, and to decrease your consumption of western medicine. Not to mention, a tension-free body and mind would make you less prone to illness in the first place (note, chronic stress can lead to so many illnesses big and small)!
Based on my experience (and I haven't taken medicine for anything other than a chronic illness i've had since I was 14), daily practices of meditation, exercises, good diet and total body relaxation can help a lot! On top of that, when you have trivial illnesses, a few herbal tea and rest can also cut the mark as well. But of course, when you get something serious, please go to a doctor and combine the two!

hey also adhd comes with a lot of other things. adhd can inhibit your learning, but it comes with so many other things. ppl with adhd suffer a lot more from loneliness, making friends, rsd, and more

amy, i love your content and i like you a lot, but manifestation /spiritual stuff has no correlation and is not backed up by quantum physics, since qp is almost purely a mathematical field. I am a physics major and , although i know it's kinda bullying and wrong, we constantly make fun of the ppl who use our field to justify their beliefs. I have nothing against believing in something, but using quantum physics to back up anything is kinda ignorant and you'll have a bunch of elitists making fun of you while refusing to explain why they're making fun of you. (yes the academic scene is brutal and sucks)
