Rod Stewart - Induction into the UK Music Hall Of Fame (2006)

Introduced by James Morrison with testimonials from Paul Rodgers (Free, Bad Company, Queen + Paul Rodgers), Bryan Adams, Kenney Jones (of the Faces), Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols and current Faces bassist) and members of Jet, Rod accepts his induction via video link from Los Angeles and thanks Long John Baldry, Jeff Beck and his "wonderful mates" in the Faces.

I find it interesting that Rod was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame the first year he was eligible (1994) and it took until 2006 for him to get into the UK Music Hall Of Fame... and where are the Faces in said Hall, I ask you? For that matter, where is the Jeff Beck Group in either Hall?

Rod Stewart doesn’t just happen once in a life time once in a blue moon or once in a smokey dream If you’ve had the honor to hear his music 🎶 or seen him take the roof top off on stage then you have been in the presence of a legend I have been fortunate to see Rod live in concert 🎵 4 times he’s the best he doesn’t just give 100 percent he gives everything he’s got and then some all to the fans he loves you know what amazed me at Rod’s concerts you see people from age 9 to 90 he brakes the age barrier and it becomes solely about the music 🎼 And that’s what it’s all about that’s what Rod’s always been about the music 🎶 the fans and that’s what makes Rod a true legend He didn’t just give of himself his music or his time he gave his heart ❤️ to everything he loves!!!!!!!!!!

Rod's voice has always sounded like he smokes 50 a day, yet he's never smoked. Which probably has helped him stay at the top of his game for so long.
