Kingdom Hearts III: Traverse Town Mod - Beta 2 Release

- This showcase is an introduction to Beta 2 of my Traverse Town mod! Beta 2 is the second version publicly available, and introduces the Third District, DDD minigame, and more. You can download it on the Nexus right now: www.nexusmods....
This Beta only includes the First/Third Districts, Merlin's Cave Entrance, and the DDD Dive Minigame. This is for players to start testing and exploring the mod, and to give feedback so I can make it better as I keep working! Not all intended features are included yet, and some things are broken/missing. Please make sure to read the full mod page before playing.
All new assets were created by me from the ground up, except the plants which were brought over from the Twilight Town map in KH3. The KH1 Traverse Town maps were redesigned in a KH3 artstyle, using zBrush, Maya, Blender, and Substance.
World map integration blueprint was done by CriticPerfect, who this wouldn't be possible without.

THE TWEWY GRAFFITI IN THE TUNNELS I CLAPPED
Seeing the grown-up KH3 Sora in Traverse Town (and with the zoomed-out camera) definitely makes the place look smaller than how it felt back in the day 😅
But this all looks absolutely incredible. Fantastic work dude!!
You can use the Exiblade Menu mod if you want to shrink Sora and Party menus.

Cool. This would be perfect for KHIII Rewind dlc if it existed along with the Olympus/Underworld Coliseums.
I think it might be perfect for kh4 setting where sora is unsure if he dead or alive, traverse town being somewhat of a town found in limbo or thoses who have lost their world.

I love kingdom hearts, my family was poor so I mostly played a super Nintendo. My family got us a PS2 my sister and I each got to pick one game and they pick one game for us. They picked us grand theft auto I picked the stupid SpongeBob game and my sister picked Kingdom hearts being my big sister she Her game first our mines were blown away. This was like the first 3-D voice acted sound design. You can imagine that SpongeBob game built-up dust. I just played kingdom hearts like crazy. I think I was seven or eight years old at the time.
I know this idea would have to be much further down the line in development, but it would be cool if you could somehow remove the Meow Wow summon from where we originally get it in the main story event in Twilight Town and then add it somewhere in Traverse Town. Like maybe a hidden Dream Eater that has to be saved from a Heartless mob somewhere in each district and after you save them all, you get the summon. Traverse Town always felt so rich and full of mystery in KH1. I think that could be a fun way to recapture that feeling.
AWESOME work, by the way. This looks so official. I don't currently own KH3 on PC, but this will be one of the first mods I pick up once I get it 👍
This looks so good!! A lot of thought of love in this for sure :) Hope you can eventually do the Dream Drop Distance rooms!
It looks great overall, good job. I do however think that some textures, especially the wooden ones, look too realistic and clashes with the general cartoony style of the game.
It would be awesome to add a few NPC of TWEWY (or others) to talk with them to make it feel even more like a real world.

And second note : I play in french, and when I get to the town from the world map, the prompt windows is empty (probably because the french translation is missing), not a big deal otherwise, I just have to select the second option with the cursor :)
