Watching you clean up Maleficent and Dragon Maleficent like that makes me think im playing a completely different game.
Idk why, but my first ever maleficicent easy as ever. I realized that you can knockback cancel the attack she does to push you off of her Plattform by just gliding back on it. She never disappeared and died. I thought the was a pure cinematic fight. 😂 but dragon maleficent screwed me hard

Love the kh content, but in general your vids are just amazing
Kh1.5 was my first game I actually tried to speed run. My first attempt was around 9 hours and the best I had was a bit under 3. I will forever love this game even though I despise Jafar so so so much

When you lock onto the fish on Destiny Islands does it affect the way they move or is it just to see them easier in the water? I've always just had a bit more of a top down view and grab them no issue.
It just makes it easier to grab them but some runners don't use the lock on

Thank you! I can't read kanji, I just memorize all of the inputs and positions of certain things
26:29 the boss fight is so tricky you mess up once and your done, speedrun or regular playthrough
I usually hit the coconut tree that's in between the ladder and the cove that leads to the other side of the island not sure if that's faster but I get the same RNG as the tree that you hit one day I was just screwing around and hit the tree three times and got all three coconuts.
Yeah that tree has more consistent coconut drops but it's slower because of where the tree is located sadly. We actually use that trre in the 99 coconuts speedrun though 😂

Is damage storage mushu on chernabog faster? at least as a viewer it seems so but i am probably missing something here
You can't do damage storage without EXP Zero, which Beginner mode does not have access to

You don't, the route for English and JP are different; English opens the door during the first visit and JP opens the door during the second visit

I'm likely operating on outdated info, but I thought due to low crit rates the KK doesn't get switched out until Three Wishes?
Crits don't matter on Beginner because we're hitting the damage ceiling with just the normal attacks

I have a question, why didn’t you get Divine Rose?
Because I'm already reaching the damage ceiling with Oathkeeper (this game has a hidden damage scaling system) plus Divine Rose is extremely out of the way and forces you to watch an unskippable cutscene before talking to Belle

I see your point but there's different categories for everything and this shouldn't be an exception. If it ain't original 100% then it's mod assisted in my eyes. You're in the community ALOT more than me so I'll take your word for it.

Not as impressive of course, but never playing kh before in college, i sat in a room and beat kh 1 in 2 days with one or 2 breaks. No regrets either.

Okay… i completely understand the mindset of not hopping onto KH2 due to it being the most popular… but do you truly prefer KH over 2..? Idk I feel like you’d do much better utilizing 2’s nostalgia which is the only utilization for KH games and trying to grow a channel at this point tbh. Taking inspiration from Ninten regarding my mindset.
This is my last KH1 video for a while, after this I'm planning to make speedrun videos on Mario vs Donkey Kong, Dark Souls Remastered, Zelda The Wind Waker HD, Kingdom Hearts 2 and more :)
That’s strange, as a viewer the nostalgia for 1/2 are equal for me. Anything after that is a no in that regard though

Not sure what part you're referring to, but usually when I say "specific" it's because it would require me to go into way more detail than is possible for a concise video like this. I'd be happy to answer any specific questions about the run if you have any.
