Really nice work. I have 4 hanks of Squir from Maple Leaf Ropes, all with sewn eyes because they told me that it couldn't be hand-spliced. Go figure.... - Patrick
Any way to add a picture of the whip stitching and did you do the yank test getting the 6,550 lbs with stitching or without please? Great description guy, worthy of Fids and Fibers.
It had stitching and broke in the crossover area. For my stitching I do something very similar to what Teufelberger describes for whip stitching and for these I do it like eight picks from the throat of the eye.
I wonder if tuefelberger had plans in the works for the splife program while developing drenaline, perhaps the cover of that rope specifically is slightly overbuilt to compensate? Just a thought
I think it’s possible. Other ropes that I’ve spliced like Samson Mercury or Sterling HTP have very weak covers and I’ve broken them with my own weight while messing around with making new splices.

They are probably not willing to do it because there’s not a factory endorsed splice. However, it’s definitely doable.
Great job, young man.

Almost forgot - for a look at Courant Treecare ropes: ruclips.net/video/UL1-EfqxfWc/видео.html

Is that Limoncello? Nice choice
Lemoncello and Leffe beer? Yum. Right from the Pulitzer Hotel's barman in Amsterdam . . . . great wisdom can be had there!
Could you let us know, which tools you are using here and which diameter they have? Thanks!
Are there any break test rusults for this splice? Cheers
Yes I tried to figure out posts on here but I can’t seem to find the post I made now. The Squir broke at 6,550 lbs.
Any other breaded cour rope you know off?
Nice video bro 👌
Where i could find details for the splice?
This is based mostly on the Teufelberger Drenaline splice which is linked in the description I think. Otherwise it’s on Teufelbergers website.
@@treespicemedia sound 👍

Please, share the breaking results!!!
It broke roughly in the crossover at 6,550 lbs! Pretty darn good.
