wonderful video. i was hoping you'd go more into detail into Forseti and it's role in the plot of the Judral arc, much like you did with naga and lopt, but that might be getting into endgame spoiler territory. Honestly- im a simple man, i see a well-made video talking about my favorite game of all time and i smash the like button.
So what is Tyrfing to Falchion. Is it just another sword that happened to look very similar to Falchion or is it the Falchion and lazily slapped under another name
Tyrfing originally WAS called Falchion... apparently Kaga originally planned on all legendary swords being called "Falchion", but decided to drop it for this game. I guess that's why the sword looks so similar.
I like to think that the Jugdral holy weapons aren’t the same ones found in awakening. I see it as awakenings way of saying that “these weapons were once wielded buy great warriors from lands unknown, let’s make our own versions”
Could be! But the game does say that they’ve lost their power over time, so it does want us to think that they’re one and the same. I think your theory makes more sense though, at least until it’s confirmed how exactly Archanea and Jugdral are connected.
History of the Emblem I heard that at some point the blood pact with the dragons ended, and was later revived by the first exalt, explaining the mark of Naga on Chrom and Lucina.
The channel is still pretty new! 10 months isn’t really enough time to get a huge following - but I’m perfectly content with the amount of subs I have right now. ~700 is still insane for a >1 year old channel that uploads as sporadically as I do. Thank you!
You should do a video about how a genealogy remake would look like. Or any other games in the series that you think deserve one. Anyway I like your content and u just got a new sub
Oh my YES! so amazing. If you do crack weapons again ( in the distant future) please consider the weapons of the scouring. Amazing videos by the way I Don't think I said that yet
HOTE will be taking a break from weapon lore for a bit to focus on other things (possibly different types of lore) but that will definitely be covered in the future. Thank you!!!
Great video (and I love the subtle dig towards Fates' world-building)! Would you perhaps consider making a similar video about Elibe's Legendary Weapons at some point in the future? Either way, keep up the great work! PS: My guess as to why Jugdral's weapons later appear in Ylisse is that since the writers intended Awakening to be a giant (and possibly final) fan-service compilation of the entire series up to that point, they simply didn't put as much thought into the lore as with other games. Anti-climactic explanation, I know, but sometimes it's best not to overthink this type of stuff too much. :)
That’s probably exactly the reason why they’re present in Awakening. But now Intelligent Systems has some questions to answer now that the series is actually continuing! More legendary weapon videos will come, but the channel’s taking a break from weapon lore for now.
Since Jugdral is my favorite continent in the series,I’m always fascinated once it’s lore becomes a topic of something. I’ve already read so much about it.
Id like to mention that it is possible for Ulster and Larcei to weild Balmung. By having Chulainn and Ayra marry eachother, you can pass down major Od blood to Larcei and Ulster. If you break Balmung into a broken weapon and sell it, Larcei or Ulster can buy this weapon back, fix it, and then use it themselves. Other than that great video!
In a battle between the Elibe legendary weapons in their prime and Jugdrals legendary weapons in their prime before Awakening, which would you say is the more potent of the two sets of weapons? I'd take a wager that the Holy weapons have an edge somehow.
I would probably go with Jugdral’s weapons. Being blessed by dragon gods gives them the edge in my opinion, though they did lose their power over time. However, since we haven’t seen the Elibe weapons in the distant future from Binding and Blazing Blade, we don’t know if the same thing happened to them as well.
YUG-DROOLLLL. Nah In all seriousness good video I'm a history nerd and love Fe4 and Fe5 , Though they are "archaic" if we compare the game's phioloshpy to modern day fire emblem, its almost un much with its lore and world building. I especially love the holy blood feature. Keep up the good videos :D
You know, there is a callback to Geneology in Awakening if you do a certain support. Dierdre and Sigurd's love story is mentioned as a story in a support with Ricken and Olivia. Also Issach is pronounced E-suck, not like Issac. Ayra says so in ver voiced lines in Heroes. Regardless, its a good video.
I love legendary weapons in the FE:games, not because they're just powerful, but they have cool names and designs, the tomes are also awesome too, like Julia's Naga....
I’m pretty sure the awakening versions are the real things, in heroes Cherche has her axe that looks like awakenings Helswath and is not called Helswath. I personally think they are knockoffs called those names by mistake
In Theory, Galzus and Marita could use the balmung because they both have major Odo blood. Ayra's children Larcei and Ulster could use Balmung if their father is holyn due to his minor odo blood and Arya's minor blood which created major holy blood sword twins.
Helswath can be wielded by someone in the third generation if you pair up Johan/Johalva with Lex's daughter. The only thing is that this third generation doesn't really exist in the game.
+dragoneevee 200215 Honestly you can't really give it to them, there is a glitch though where you can purposely break Balmung, sell it in the pawn shop and then have either Larcei or Ulster buy and repair Balmung.... (Oh so I've heard of...)
+RobinHood ! Also, Isn't it strange that Shannan, Ulster and Larcei completely contradict Briggid and Her sister's statement that Major Holy Blood can be inherited by one person in each generation (which explains why Briggid, being the twin sister is the only one who inherits Major Holy Blood and not her sister despite being twins....) It's weird that legit 3 people can have the same Major Holy Blood... though Shannan was born before Larcei and Ulster so that explains why he has Major Holy Blood... but how does Larcei and Ulster have Major Holy Blood?
In regards to Archanea and Jugdral, both continents are of the same world, but don't interact. However, any game that involves Archanea or Jugdral after FE5 are simply interpretations of Shouzo Kaga's FE Lore by another writer. New video? *WOKE* Don't forget what Mystletainn look like in-game... No clue if it's true or not, but I've heard that Anri may be a descendant of Chalphy. I'm pretty sure Dananan can wield Helswath, Maricle can wield Balmung, and Cyas can wield Valflame. Have you ever thought to talk about fire emblem theories? I think it's an interesting topic.
The Anri-Chalphy thing is just a speculation. It was never confirmed. But I have thought about covering theories! A couple months ago I was writing a script for the theory that Owain wrote Fire Emblem Fates, but I never finished it.
History of the Emblem Lol good theory. Here's a video on a few FE theories you might find interesting: ruclips.net/video/3ehgk7FxJUU/видео.html In the comments, find my comment and it links to another theory, the Nils is Forseti theory. It probably has a lot of holes, but is interesting to think about.
It is, in Fire Emblem canon. This video was made before the release of Quan in heroes, so I was just going off of the pronunciation from other relevant media.

Shozou kaga had confirmed in an interview that jugdral and archanea are on the same planet. However, archanea's events take place long after judral.
So what is Tyrfing to Falchion. Is it just another sword that happened to look very similar to Falchion or is it the Falchion and lazily slapped under another name
It's just a sword that looks like falchion.
What if Tyrfing is Falchion?
@@refletainsworth9270 no

About the Valkyrie Staff, you can get it in Awakening in a specific tile in Laurent’s recruitment map.
Forseti, aka the book that breaks the game.
Really, except Arvis and Julius no one could touch Lewyn or Ced, they often just win the war alone
Mom's Forsetii
More like Arthur because he's the better inheritor of Forseti
YEEEESSSSSS QUAN AND ETHLIN SHALL BE HONORED
Edit: Thank you. I always look forward to seeing you talk about Fire Emblem. You're going places.
That means a lot, man! I appreciate it :)
History of the Emblem Your Welcome! Just keep Rockin' on!
Yes the best legendary weapons in all fire emblem, good to see this keep up the good work

I heard that at some point the blood pact with the dragons ended, and was later revived by the first exalt, explaining the mark of Naga on Chrom and Lucina.
You’re right. The first exalt made a blood pact with Naga specifically to kill Grima.
I’m happy to see someone talking about legendary weapons! Great video
Love me some Fire Emblem lore! Thanks man :)
I really don't understand how you have so few subscribers.
Awesome Vid!
The channel is still pretty new! 10 months isn’t really enough time to get a huge following - but I’m perfectly content with the amount of subs I have right now. ~700 is still insane for a >1 year old channel that uploads as sporadically as I do.

You deserve so many more subs than you actually have. I'll be sure to tell my friends about this video. Great job!!
Thanks, dude! :)
You should do a video about how a genealogy remake would look like. Or any other games in the series that you think deserve one. Anyway I like your content and u just got a new sub
Thank you so much! I'll add that one to the video ideas list.
Damn those burning jokes about Sigurd woulda been ON FIRE! Sigurd is the best at getting roasted... ooh feel the burn!
Sorry, had to get that outta my system, btw would you do a vid on the legendary weapons of Fates
Oh my YES! so amazing. If you do crack weapons again ( in the distant future) please consider the weapons of the scouring. Amazing videos by the way I Don't think I said that yet

*Joffrey Lannister voice* " I COMMAND more weapon reviews!" Lmao
For real though: you forgot ARMADS the thunder axe 🥺 ⚡🪓
Fantastic video, thank you for making it!
Amazing stuff, as always
Thanks!
I’m still waiting for Quan in Heroes

I was really hoping for a BBQ joke when Valflame show up u.u
The temptation was strong, but two burning Sigurd jokes is too much for one video.

No awakening cast deserves these holy weapons
Why no gungnir and gae bolg design connections to gradivus?

Will you do FE6&7s Weapons at some point? I really loved this video it gave me much info on the Jugdral games
Yup! Taking a break from weapon lore for a moment, but that video will be out sometime or another. Love me some Elibe, though.
Do you think you can talk about how Archena, Valentia and Jugdal are all connected?
Yes! That’s a video I want to do
Wouldn't Valflame in theory, could be wielded by Saias, Arvis' son from Aida?
Yup. Any of Arvis’ descendants should be able to use it, since they’ve got Fjalar blood!
@@HistoryoftheEmblem that isn't true at all. Julius and Julia only have minor Fjalar holy blood. Azel has that too.
