Disclaimer : We receive a ton of emails and messages from people telling us we filmed them at the ramp this past weekend and they want to know when the video will air. This is not a question we can typically answer. We film from three or more ramps every week and have a massive back log of content and sometime it could be weeks or months after an event occurs before we air the video. We put stuff out as fast as we can but we only air three videos a week and in a typical weekend get 6-10 episodes worth of content meaning we get content faster then we can air it. Thanks for watching and just be sure to keep watching looking for your content it will air but probably not immediately after it happens!

A twin engine boat ,easier than single.
Cat handles every better than others because motors are farther apart.

Cats are great , dont have the trailer too deep , allow the trailer guides to center and align the boat . Such a stable boat to be on .
2:15 2:15 because the space between the motors is wider than the mono hall. You use the motors not the steering. it works much better. That way I always use the motors. I reverse one side and forward in the other one that will pivot the boat.
I have a power cat (C-Dory Tomcat) and it handles easier than a monohull if you make small corrections.

You can dock the cat ,keep wheel straight just use throttles .

If you can back up your boat trailer to the water ,than you can get a Cat on it . Easier than a single
Any boat with twin engines there is no need to turn at low speed you just use the gear shift/throttle to stear
I think the cat would be more maneuverable around the dock due to the wider distance between the props vs. a v-hull.
If you know how!
They are actually easy to drive and dock. A little practice and using the engines to steer in tight spaces. A little forward on one and reverse on the other. Of course with the newer engines you can use a joystick and the computer will steer them.
It not the boat its the operator. Look how people drive their vehicals thus why i hung up my keys being a truck driver of safe 2.8 million miles people are plain dumb when theres a wheel in front of them..
No clue how to use dual engines! Not really surprised being florida
I've always had mono hulls. We rented a pontoon. I sucked with trying to maneuver that thing.
There aa many different styles of cat trailers. The most I have seen have inside guide bunks. Once the insides of the boat are guided in, the bottom bunks should self center. The other thing is that a V-bottom trailer bunks are relatively deeper than the pontoon or cat bunks.
With the strong wind and current, the cat would have been better off if the crew jumped off the starboard side onto the windward dock with a bow and stern line. They could have used the lines to pull the boat onto the trailer. Let the wind and current pull the boat away from the dock and control the position of the boat with the lines.
The Wider the Twin Engines sit.. the harder it is to control because with the twins being that wide? They turn with more thrust. Someone that has been dealing with single engines or dual tight engines.... will struggle with dual wide set engines. takes time to get used to.
The people who can’t back up a trailer might as well hire someone to do it for them so the don’t wreck😂
Cats for the most part are very stable compared to a monohull. That so-called Captain is lack of a helping hand. Captain Keith, Tight lines
As for the Cat, don’t use the steering wheel! Stick it! Soooo much easier even in bad winds and currant.
