I just bought this laptop. I appreciate the soft suggestions of things that could be better. Great video! We live in a world where everyone expects everything to be perfect all the time. I think at some point HP will get prioritize the most sought after improvements. I do appreciate their commitment to the customer and to making sure we can find good deals on great tech.

I have this laptop, I bought in September. Intel i5 (12th gen) with 16 GB and 512 SSD and Windows 11 home. It’s been working very smoothly and I have only two small complaints- the brightness lacks when the movie I’m watching is darker- example: game of thrones S8 episode 3 was not watchable- I just saw my face 😂
Second, for gaming, some heavy games don’t work, but since I’m only a casual gamer, it’s not that big of a deal.
Other than that, it’s working perfectly and I am every satisfied with its performance.
The battery last up to 7-8 hours on charge, I’m a law student, so I keep multiple tabs, and pdfs, PowerPoints and word documents open in a single session. I also stream frequently and the battery continues to hold.

I just bought directly from HP for 700 usd total and it was model with 16GB ram. I think that for that money it is hard to find better deal for me as an average user.

I don't understand why there is one USB C port but 2 USB A ports. Shouldn't it be the opposite? I thought we are moving away from USB A.

I just bought the Envy but now I’m not sure if the price difference is worth it - I need a budget friendly 2 in 1 to track my business ideas. Thank you!!

Honestly I can’t see anything seriously new here, this looks like the usual HP laptop and quality….including their absolutely inconvenient ports placement - having both the USB-A ports on the same side is…a very poor design decision (to say it very politely) imo, as any usb key, hdd/ssd and such is almost certainly and more than once gonna get in the way of you using the mouse (which for most people stays on the right….same side as the USB-A ports) and thus of your workflow.

That is a pretty fair analysis. The main changes are the updated specs and minor improvements to the build frame it self.

absolute waste of 1300 dollars is the world, mine cannot run the simplest tasks. Screwing around this pos can't even run World at War at 40fps on all low, not even at 720p, what a fing joke. Intel chips are fing terrible this I5 shouldn't even be called an I5 as the arm chip in my fing phone is faster.
