I have loved the theatrical version of this story for decades, so I approached this Broadway musical production fearfully. I wanted it to be something special...and it is SUCH a delight...what an amazing production. With no disrespect to the film cast, especially the remarkable Olivia de Havilland, I must say, I think the way Meg Johnson is portrayed here is far better. Deeply moving and sympathetic, her touch of southern humor brought the character to a new level, while reminding the audience "everything will be alright." Just a lovely, lovely production. Thank you so much.

Is there a more moving moment in the history of American Musical Theatre than 1:55:10-1;56:30, esp the high note on "My little love, CLARA."? (1:56:24)? Well, maybe "Fable" in the last 4 and a half minutes of the show.
