I recall looking for an answer to why the Julian calendar has 12 months and was greeted by someone complaining that we use a calendar from Ancient Rome, and how we should just have 13 months with 28 days each (which wouldn’t work for a number of reasons, nor would it properly line of up with the moon as people claim) because apparently something being old means it’s dumb even if it completes it’s intended function better than anything that came before it. It’s not that there’s no flaws with Julian calendar (though they are few) but it’s like complaining that we still use jars to hold things, the design is old but it still functions just as well.
This is just one example of how common misconceptions are Quara’s bread and butter.

Whenever i search something on google, a quora post pops up. And I just read it. Thats my only interaction with quora. I don't know how the site/app works and what the algorithm there is.

Quora seems to be like a more serious version of Reddit, with no meme post (funny memes, I mean) and anything that would get me vibe in that website. It's all just story of someone with problem and qna post

I came here for the sole purpose of seeing someone making fun of how sometimes you are just trying to read the answer of a question you may actually be interested in, but in the "answer" section the first 10 fucking "answers" are all just Related or Promoted. Even when I selected from the drop-down "all answers" insted of "all related" nothing changed. I keep telling myself never to enter this waste of time website again and yet here I am.
in the original script i made for this video i had a couple promoted posts in it but i ended up cutting them for other stuff, i might make a second quora video sometime

Quora is indeed very flawed. However, it also depends on the niche you choose to participate in. It's not just about life advice but literally any topic that is relevant enough to be discussed. Nonetheless, the site is very flawed and I'm glad I never chose to participate in its monetization program.
Quora is much better than Reddit please. The posters are vetted. Try creating an account and find out. No bots or spammers.

@@ChromeMan04 You can hand select people for answer requests, there's also more accountability on Quora, it's users for the most part are more educated. Reddit mods are always on power trips and the censorship is borderline Chinese Communist Party level.
