Bought the pattern, super easy instructions with the video, made it in about an hour. Wifie happy, world happy, Thanks for another great tutorial and Pattern. Made mine out of W&C Bridle - chocolate brown
Not so much an illusion as cool but slightly confusing pattern in that once you place cards in the wallet, the wallet will expose them with a seemingly overlapping/continuous diagonal line.
How do you stitch like that? So fast and clean ... koodos on the sanding block vs a nail file .. and do you burnish with canvas? ( read about it but yet to try ) is it like a painters canvas or floor canvas,,, or is it a totally different material
The saddle-stitch would be more visible if you remembered about pulling one end of the thread upwards and the other downwards, the thread would set in the holes differently. Love the pattern, thanks for another great vid!
We'd need to use stitching chisels with more of a flat french-style tooth profile for that aggressive stacked look -- we prefer more of a straight stitch with a slight stack so we use diamond shaped chisels for most of our work :)
Like the one stroke cutting. Obviously a sharper blade than I use. Have watched a few of your videos and appreciate your skill. Interested in getting the pattern to give this project a go.
Nice work! But I guess it'dve been much more convenient if you had the back as an open pocket for money instead of gluing it as reinforcement (adding unnecessary volume and weight)
you could absolutely do that, the top or a side or a top and side! I would just line the side with the multiple card slots, as putting things in and out of that central pocket will wear on the stitching which might fray over time. A liner would protect it no prob
I bought the pattern 2 days ago, and have made the wallet. I have not punched the holes or stitched it yet. I noticed you made all the front pockets and punched holes through all the layers, then added the back pocket, which mysteriously was already punched. This makes no sense to me. Did you make a mistake, punching the holes through all the layers except the back pocket, then lined it up and punched it? Because I glued all the layers and it's pretty thick, hoping my punch will make it through all that leather.
yep! we use gum trag. I wish my hand was a cool story but alas, I was reaching in to grab a slice of pizza at the store and the metal of the display case shocked me, so I pulled my hand away in surprise and ripped the top open on the pizza case haha. it'll be right as rain next week!
@@lordpablo1985 The edge of the cards sit flush to the slots where in a regular wallet you'd usually see a stacked appearance of each one overlapping, this is supposed to make it look like the cards a part of the wallet.
Yep! I love em, super easy to keep sharp and a good shape for tight corners. Been using Weaver's bevelers far before we started working with them on videos, it's one of the reasons I reached out and asked them to work with us! A great deal for a great piece of kit that lasts forever, they actually sent us a newer model because we were using one that was like 10 years old in our first few videos haha
it will be emailed to the address you provide at purchase, it will also be on the confirmation page after checkout. If you've got any issues shoot us an email and we can re-send the link to the email address you used to purchase the pattern :)
I would think that it would be a habit as to not waste time as you already have a scalpel in your hand to scratch the glue edge instead of having to pick up another thing up. It's like if you're eating something and you already have a fork in your hand and you use the prong edge to cut a piece off instead of using a knife.
No idea what the “optical illusion” is. I think you mean to say it has the illusion of cards in it, even when there are none (cause I can’t imagine there being some kind of illusion by inserting a card, and if there is it is not demonstrated in the video).

So glad to hear! I bet it looks great in W&C, we make lots and lots of product in their Russet and Black :)

Very cool design! Another great video too!
Very good work💕
The contrast between the relaxing video and the energy of the text at 1:00 is hilarious
Very good. You did a good job.
Simply beautiful work thanks
You literally inspired me to take this up as a hobby. I've just bought your design so this'll be the first thing I make!
I really waana watch vids that you’re making a bag..I mean that bag at 00:40. That bag looks so beautiful!

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for 🙏
is it just me or leather wallet making is so satisfying
Good design!! it's like double layer for each card!!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I love how you make it looks so easy and beautiful. Love this very much. God bless you people at Corter greatly.
Wow! That looks super stinkin cool!!! You guys are just amazing!
Just purchased the pattern! Very excited to make this. So glad you’re providing patterns now.
Beautiful wallet and the lighter leather case is dope too..thanks for sharing..
Very nice!

Glad you like it! Are you referring to a more tilted stacking effect?
@@Corter Yes, not a straight line stitch but a zigzagging effect

So when does the optical illusion part come? Is that in the next video?
I'm a huge fan of wallets that are slim enough for the front pocket and allow me to only have to fold cash once.
Looks very clean
Do you ever work with Chrome tanned leather? How different is it?
Haces las cosas más difíciles con una sencillez, que llegan a parecer fáciles.

I would love to know the adhesive you use.
What program do u do your designs on
Amazing as Always!!!! Your vídeos just make me wanna work harder!!!! Make stuff!!!

hi, may i know in the video 10:55 that part wat u r apply for the edge?
Probably a gum tragacanth..

Your work and design are awesome I really love it. What program do you use to design them?

FREAKING LOVE THIS!!!
Very nice, but I think using a wood burnisher on the edges gives it a more polished (finished) look than just rubbing it with a rag.

Awesome work. Can’t wait till i find some time to start making this myself
I love the $2 bill
Can you produce plans for the chisel pouch? Would make a nice entry level project for a lot of people.
Will do! We'll have a new project coming out in the next couple months for chisels and a couple other tools and we'll have a pattern available :)
Great design. How about leaving the top of the top unstitched to create another pocket?

It is Facinante this work, what software do you use to make these drawings in MAC? Hugs from Brazil

Where's the illusion? 12 minutes of video and no explanation of what the illusion supposedly is....
The illusion is that the card slots don't look like slots.
