    The first few second are as good as a video can be, with the rapid swooshing. Also as an aside, I enjoy the complete rejection of the current trend to make your face and persona the key element! Great video.

    Hi quick question, why do you thin out the edges shown at 1:22? I'm just getting started in leather and it's just a part I don't understand. Thanks 😁

    • @jasonissm496
      @jasonissm496 4 года назад

      It's skivving, basically so when you have the final product, you will have many pieces of leather stacked together, without skivving it, it becomes very thick, this just makes it so even when the leather is stacked onto each other it's still a reasonable thickness at the end.

    Nice video! Fellow leather artist, can you help me? I've been working on making 6 slots card like in this video. But everytine i fill all 6 slot with cards, it ended up buldging and bending the cards. I tried resizing making it larger, or making the leather thinner, but it's still bending the cards inside. Any tips for me? Really appreciated, thank you!

    The simplest thing is to grind the skin with a Japanese knife with a beveled plane up, but this ... WRONG !!!
    You need to start by putting the beveled plane of the knife on the skin, only in this position the knife is under complete control and is able to correctly cut a thin layer of skin ...
    I apologize for my English, I translate through Google.
