This is a great documentary and tribute to Mr. Brown. I'm a musician whose had the pleasure of performing at the Civic Center back in the 90s with blues singer Peggy Scott Adams. I was very excited because that's where part of Mr. Brown's Sex Machine live album was recorded. I have also had the pleasure of befriending Mr. Brown's son Daryl who played guitar with father.

Yes I have been to the James Brown Arena to see Winter Jam, Ruth Graham Lotz, a rodeo, and a hockey game. I also personally know Cole Phail, the artist who created the James Brown mural.

Oh yes and that reminds me of another thing I hear other locals mention which is how they remember hunting in areas that were once wooded areas and are now developed subdivisions.

@@Freddyrobbbaby I actually have never been to Valdosta but I’ve noticed we don’t have to travel that far (just a couple hours away) to recognize people are not as friendly in other areas in Georgia, as they are in Augusta.

Being from the area, I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of changes and have history to share as well. Since moving to Augusta in 2015, I’ve seen an increase in the job market particularly with cyber command, Amazon, Savannah Rivers Site nuclear facility (SRS), the medical district and President Biden announcing Augusta as one of the countries workforce hubs. I believe the job market will continue to grow even stronger with time.

You did an excellent job telling James Brown story in his hometown. Visited Augusta once in 2005 and took pictures with his statue. Most moving part was the story from The Soul Bar founder. I just subscribed to your channel. Coming back in 2026 to see Mr Brown new arena.

Thanks and the Soul Bar interview was a highlight for me as well. Terry had lots more to share but we didn’t have enough time. Thanks for subscribing 👍🏽👍🏽
