Great video, I have considered relocating to Augusta. The down side is there’s only the regional airport American a& Delta flys to Augusta, then the next airport is Atlanta is 2hr. drive. Then Charlotte etc. wish there were more airlines that fly into Augusta.

Great video Delresa. Another important reason people are leaving is DeSantis and his Trumpian politics. Metro Augusta is an excellent option if someone wants to stay in the south but doesn’t want to live in a large, expensive urban city (Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, etc.)

dang i must be part of the elite because i found out that depending on where you live in hephzibah you can live way better than evans ga and the homes my sub division is in is priced at 400k and above and we live on lakes and our schools are private at charter school, it’s a shame nobody speaks about this part of hephzibah but i challenge all to really see and know the farther your out in hephzibah your life gets great headed out towards hephzibah high school homes and property are definitely way higher and living is very upper class

I am a semi-retired firefighter and my wife is looking to retire in early spring, that's April or May in Michigan! How soon do you think we should start the process? My only concern is what the economy will look like after the first of the year. We have been looking at what's available in the area and doing our due diligence to find areas we really like. I'm in west Augusta, in the Waverly area. We got hit very hard here. Many of the streets were impassible, & of course all of the utility lines were down. We received over a foot of rain the previous 24 hours, then got more rain along with the incredible winds. No electricity for 9 days, no water for 5 days, although occasionally the water would trickle from the tap, my internet was out for 39 days. I was blessed that my house on one acre was spared, but all of my mature oak & hickory trees were uprooted, snapped off, or had other trees fall on them. There were dozens of tree removal companies from all over the south here soliciting work. One man told me that I had about $40,000 worth of tree damage. My next door neighbor is active military, & my neighbor across the street is retired military. Both independently told me that it looked like a war zone over here. BTW, you did a very nice job with your presentation. You should be on TV!

I was born in Fort Gordon Georgia, my father retired in Augusta Georgia. I think our history is there to learn from, so that history doesn't repeat itself. I do not think millions of dollars spent to change the name of this base was worth it !! We have too many issues more pressing than a name change!! I would have seen our tax dollars better spent rebuilding the homes and updating poor homes like Barton chapel Village.! Downtown Augusta and beautifying the old homes. Such a waste of tax dollars, when making better living conditions for all would have been well spent..Sick of wasting our tax dollars, why not help updating homes of the poor areas to show communities are just as important as any community. Biden's idea of spending billions to do this name change was truly ignorant. Who did this help--- no one benefitted from this!! I'm sure updating and beautifying communities would be more beneficial to all. Investing in our communities, especially South Augusta, looks so old and provished. It has been ignored for decades. Absolutely sad, I'm sure more people would have loved the work and beauty done for the love of our home, city and State ,

Tree removal companies were charging us $2500 per tree (at a minimum) to just cut up trees that were already on the ground. They didnt take them away. They gouged us and came under the guise that they were here to help.
