The furch sounded a bit boomy and bassy compared with the Martin. I listened 3 times and really wanted the Furch to be closer in sound (as I am a new Furch owner and would rather get a 3k vintage 3 vs a 10k d-45, but if money were no object, I'd go with the Martin. It sounded softer and more balanced to me. But it kills me that they use plastic binding on a 10k guitar. If I were to get a d-45, I'd use the custom shop and pay the extra $345 for maple binding. I know Martin has used plastic for decades and it's part of their aesthetic and tradition, but it bothers me to have plastic on a high-end guitar.
Furch 2.299 Euros, Martin 8.500 Euros...Buy one Dreadnaught, one OM and one Grand Auditorium from Furch, put electric systems in all of them and add a nice acoustic amp, or even a small P.A. for the price of mostly a name on the headstock...Some other brands are nice also,Martins are not worth it for me.Their prices are insulting for a non rich musician.I own a Guild D55, wich I bought 2.300, an older model from Furch at around 1.500 and four Yamahas (LL16, LL16-12string, NCX1200 nylon and CSF3).If a Martin OM28 was around 1.500-1.800 maybe I would have one, because that is it's value for me. Gibsons are even worse.
Once you're in the rarified air of the top tier of Martins, unless you just have a strange ear/taste in sounds it is REALLY DIFFICULT to beat a Martin unless you're paying equal $ (or more) to Collings, Huss&Dalton etc. The Furch flavors are really more like the $2k Martins etc. Very dang good in their own right but not like the very top priced custom shop Martins or luthier built boutique guitars IMO
null null but the price are not the same Martin are 3 times more expensive . Same Strings Curt Mangan Bronze Same Preamp LR Baggs Anthem But one guitar are Furch : 3.000€ Martin: 9.000€
I OWN THE FURCH VINTAGE 3 , BUT ON THIS VIDEO THE MARTIN COME OUT BEST MORE SPARKLE ON NOTES , BUT FACTOR IN THE PRICE DIFFERENCE AND THE WINNER IS FURCH UNLESS ONE HAS A RICH DADDY OR MUM
WoW!!! The difference in the quality of construction and overall tone is very slight, but the difference in price is huge. That Martin's name carries some serious weight.
Dear Kevin Martin have all the heritage from years and years . And sometimes are a lottery . Furch have other innovations of building’s process . All the best of the Classic desings with all the modern advances .
I'm disappointed with Furch, they become greedy. I wanted to buy Furch vintage 2 and it was $3000AU compare wit Martin D18 $3800AU and D28 $4100AU but now they increased to $3800 for vintage 2 and over $4000 for vintage 3. Furch is nice guitar but it is not Martin and need long way to go. Just greedy as they get good reviews.
I’ve seen you’ve posted this same comment on other Furch videos.. I just bought a vintage 2 and it was 3000AU not 3800. I’m thinking your dealer/location is jacking up the price. Not Furch
@@karls.623 You are right, I bought vintage 3 for $3600 with no pick up. That was $200 more then advertising but I think still good price? Need to wait until February for delivery. I was furies before because vintage 2 was advertising for $2900 with pickup but when I wanted to order they asked me $3600 (something like that). That is why I get angry.

No shit!
I know Im quite off topic but does anybody know of a good place to watch newly released tv shows online?
@Holden Briggs Definitely, I have been using flixzone for years myself :D
@Holden Briggs Thanks, I went there and it seems to work :D Appreciate it!
@Yousef Reyansh you are welcome :D
Martin sounds more defined to my ears. Furch is a damn nice guitar though.
Disagree, are equivalent to those of the best proposals of sound. Draw
To me the Martin sounded a bit thudy and the Furch much better balanced.
what strings do you use?
Martin more dark sound for my ears, and furch more Bass and dry sound ...in This furch 👍🏼
What mic are you using? Neumann TLM103?
JV Strats Yes this is a Neuman TLM 103

Would love to hear the Furch with some John Pearse PB. The Elixirs are too harsh.
The Martin uses here Curt Mangan Strings and The Furch you are Right comes with Elixir We prefer Curt Mangan Strings Bronze
Very similar!
null null but the price are not the same Martin are 3 times more expensive . Same Strings Curt Mangan Bronze
Same Preamp LR Baggs Anthem
But one guitar are
Furch : 3.000€
Martin: 9.000€
@@Alsmusicfactory Yes, that is so true! I'd definitely rather have the Furch!
The Furch is terrific. The Martin is on another higher level... put the cost.
Martin wins this one for me
The Furch has a bit more clarity. What a coin toss. Bling or $$$$ in pocket
I thought martin sounds more soft. I liked it.
I OWN THE FURCH VINTAGE 3 , BUT ON THIS VIDEO THE MARTIN COME OUT BEST MORE SPARKLE ON NOTES , BUT FACTOR IN THE PRICE DIFFERENCE AND THE WINNER IS FURCH UNLESS ONE HAS A RICH DADDY OR MUM
Martin if I had to choose. Price difference?
Smack Dabber Price Difference
Furch 2.900€
Martin : 9:400€
It’s more than Triple
WoW!!! The difference in the quality of construction and overall tone is very slight, but the difference in price is huge. That Martin's name carries some serious weight.
Furch the best .
Martin wins, by far
the furch in the UK is way less than half the price of the Martin and having played both I can't understand why. the furch is amazing
Simply because it is crafted in Czech Republic vs. USA and also Martin is a well known brand so people give the money for it..
It's 1/3 the price in the U.S.
amazing guitars, amazing mic, but the mic is poorly placed. It's in front of the sound hole, it has way too much bass.
that's exactly what I wanna say when I saw the mic position.
Furch sounds so so martinesque...
A £6K+ over a £2K 🤭
Furch all the way
furch nr1
wanna trade that Martin for my Yamama FG800M? :-D
Thank you Dear Seth - This Martin are Sold out -
To me the Furch sounds bitey every time I hear one. Not enough low end. Perhaps it is the vagaries of my speakers but it’s what I hear
Furch takes the cake
Martin is much better
Three times the price, so understandable
IMO Furch are making the best guitars! they look beautiful and sound amazing! not saying Martin are not great guitars but they are way overpriced.
Dear Kevin Martin have all the heritage from years and years . And sometimes are a lottery . Furch have other innovations of building’s process . All the best of the Classic desings with all the modern advances .
Still think Martin are way overpriced!@@alsmusicfactory6258
Not even close
Are Furchs overrated? Recently listening to them and I don't get the hype at all. Worse than Martin and Taylor.
Furch sounds like. Guitar. Matin sounds like Martin guitar.
Furch wins, easily - because it has a slothead ;-) ;-) ;-)
Martin sounds beautiful, Furch like an old drag.
The martin might sound $20 better sound wise but has less innovation in it. You pay for the name or quality
The Martin is thudy sounding, the Furch is much more musical.
Unfortunately bad miking. Boomy sound.
try a HD 28 next time and save yourself about 5 grand.....slot heads are a bitch when you change strings
Martin only for guitar players
Neither impressed me.
