Thank you for your efforts to compile the story into a coherent lore video, however, your interpretation is wildly inaccurate in some places. The Lorebrarians video is a better take and and also has a comprehensive section on Penglai's history even before Lear and Yi's time: ruclips.net/video/D94FXUnqhQg/видео.html
Nine Sols did not copy hollow knight, I’ve 100% both, and while they seem similar on the surface, they are very different. Hollow knights combat is way way simpler and that what makes it so good, while nine sols combat is about its depth and primarily centered around the parry and talisman. This is because nine sols combat, while it took some inspiration from hollow knight, is primarily inspired by Sekiro. The only two things that seem to be inspired by hollow knight are the pogo and the jade system. As well, this video feels less like a story explained video and more like an overview of a play through due to some of the egregious mistakes. Stuff like calling the tiandoa council the nine sols council, especially when there are ten sols, or calling kanghui a dog, comparing the agrarian hall to hollow knight based off looks rather than explaining what they are in story, commenting about the game being made in a communist country when it was made in Taiwan, a democratic republic, or not explaining things such as kuafu being the sol of loyalty, that he is in charge of watching over the rhizomatic columns and the purpose of the columns. There are also just errors in the order of events: you meet Ji in the daybreak tower on your way to fight goumang and again on your way to fight yanlao, but according to your video, you only meet him for the first time after beating jiequan, or the memory of Yi and Heng in the pickle jar being on your way to fight yanlao and not during the stealth section. I think had the video not been presented as “The Story of Nine Sols” these mistakes wouldn’t really matter, because it’s really an overview of your play through.
For real, this guy is pissing me off. He doesn't even realise the harassment that Red Candle has received *from* China due to them being opposed to Xi's reign.
31:16 A minor note, from the resarch notes of the master it looks like its her fault for reactivating a dormed virus durning experiments to achieve immortality. Also the entire race of cat people was seemingly artificialy created through this virus, from normal house hold cats (the vats show what happens if they are born without this DNA changing virus).
Are you actually really read all the in game documents before making this "Complete Story"? Most of the stuff you talk about are just visual interpreted or you just made it up.
@@CrimsonRabbitAnnie I did butcher a lot. Especially Lear’s backstory. Gonna put another vid in the description that covers the religions and such far better than me.
The only reason why I will say hollow Knight is batter because u can replay hard boss I wished if the game has something that makes u want to play it again after an ending
@@TimoNaaro you need to find artifacts to give to shuan. After enough, shennong will eventually gift you a key to the village. Its entrance can be found in the top right of the abandoned mines.

Thrilled to have come across your channel.
Really enjoy your vibe, humor & delivery of the plot info- this content is exactly what I was looking for.
34:50 shuanshuan forgives yi in some TE path dialogue, because he knows that was a different yi. He believes that this yi would never do that
As a certain fella by the name of law once said "I HATE RICH PEOPLE" But this was a pretty good recap and was pretty funny throughout
3:40 the soldiers aren't brainwashed humans (except for goumang's) I believe they are transmuted corpses, as seen in jiequans area
18:08 it was between jiequan and ji by the way, not jiequan and eigong (yi's master)
That explains why the tall figure had a different hat. Ty.
@@mgedecim8tors yeah I just figured that out yesterday when I fought jiequan on my no upgrades run

Great summary! Surprised you didn't talk about the default ending, but it's better that you covered the 'good' ending
13:30 this is from Taiwan, not communist China.

@@jankekow569 I see. I also love that Easter egg that they turn back into cats without the dna.
wasn't this game made in Taiwan?
True. I got “Red Candle” games mixed up with China. I now realize Taiwan is a democracy.
game looks cool, great video as always ❤️
Nine Sols! love the story and characters
