This is actually a really well made video, despite the blurry lens. It was exactly what I needed to convince me I could do this in one afternoon ( I was pinched for time!). Thank you! I would recommend people do a good flush before removing the old pump (see timmythetoolman video). My PS system had TONS of gunk in it.
Is it safe to drive the truck if its making the noise while i wait for the new pump to be delivered. Or would you recommend not driving it till i fix it?
Was yours vibrating/rattling prior to replacement? Mine is making the exact same noise yours was making, I changed fluid as it was dark/black (324k miles) and the whine/rattling remains. Would you say replacement is necessary? Appreciate it.
Thanks for the great vid. These is what I look for in DYI vids, no fluff no BS down to the point! Excellent work!😎👍👍
Thx bro.. mine went out this morning soon as I got to work.. great vid.. thx
Thank you.....that's above my skill level. I'm pretty sure that's my problem.
My squealing stops when I turn the wheel fully left and right.
Its not too bad of a job taking your time.but i completely understand. Hope the video was helpful regardless. Take car
Vid is gold. Thanks for the upload
Thank you.

If its making this same noise itll be fine. The noise is just the bearings arent happy anymore. If it sounds worse than this, id hold off.

@@Wraith8162 it was not rattling. Just was making the whine.
If you can pinpoint the noise to the pump then i would say yes on replacement.
Where does the return line go? The other end of the hose
What was the fluid level upon checking? "no response, guess he ran it dry😄"
@@dmironyuk my bad some. Some messages i dont get a notifications on my phone.
@@dmironyuk fluid level was fine after.
I can only imagine my phone blowing up to comments throughout my videos on my channel. Again a i apologize.
@@hyr0llr no worries 👌
What pump did you use and where did you get it ??
@@dadennis4696 i believe napa
Love your video thank you. Do you by chance know the torque spec on the pulley nut?

Just subscribed, thanks for such a quick answer.
After driving for a few months does it still whine or pretty much like new? Feel any different on the wheel? I’m doing mine soon
this is my buddies car , and he hasn't told me anything since it being replaced. So I would assume its all still good lol.
Mine is making that noise but I also notice that the pulley wobbles a little should I replace both??
The pulley is on the shaft so i would say just the pump is fine. Unless somehow the pulley itself is bent.
Thanks man I appreciate it!
Where did you source the washers and o ring?
They come with the new pump
Bro my pressure line is so stuck how was yours so easy
Try to the use the longest ratchet you have or breaker bar. Or even use the double wrench method.😊
@@hyr0llrfor some reason my whole thing is spinning so I’ve gotta hold one side with a wrench then undo the bolt. Thanks!
