    Honestly respect the soloist for continuing to play regardless of hitting the wrong note, he didn’t let it affect the rest of his playing all that much. I know if it were me I’d probably stop playing after a certain point, but he finished it. Would love to see an update sometime down the road of you guys playing a more polished version of this

      As a brass player, I’ve realized that we’re all going to inevitably play a wrong note given the nature of our instruments, so I learned to keep playing rather than stopping, which is much worse

    Everyone shitting on the soloist has clearly never tried to play Black and Blues… As a trombonist, I know how hard it is to build up to those notes and even getting as close as he was is impressive!!!
    Massive props to all of you guys and especially to the soloist for finishing the song!!

    to the couple haters in chat, as a brass player, I can tell you hitting notes he's hitting isn't the easiest thing to do. Some people might say it is, that just means you've been playing longer than him and I, or have just been blessed by god. Either way I respect the hell out what y'all are doing. Keep practicing and what you want to sound like will happen! though you already sound more than good.

      In this video, I’m in my second year, everyone else is a freshman in college! Also thank you for your kind words, I would like to point out that the main bone in this video is actually a BASS trombonist so that makes it all the more impressive! And yeah, we recorded this on an iPhone so the audio did us a little dirty during our practice run haha

    You four sound very nice!! I’m a trombonist in high school and one day loooong down the road I hope to be able play the Black and Blues solo. The transcriptions of That Thing and B&B both sound very great! You guys did a great job playing them. Don’t let everyone hate on you for not being able to hit the high notes. It’s very hard to get to some/most of those. I love the big punch the bass trombone adds!

  • @whatsaeuphonium9077

    If you want some advice, I am a Baritone trying to play this also. If you can't hit the high notes, then go down an octave. It's better to do that than to try to hit those high notes

    • @Tita_la_24
      @Tita_la_24  2 года назад +10

      I agree to some extent. However, if you never practice in your upper register, you’ll never expand your range.

    • @whatsaeuphonium9077
      @whatsaeuphonium9077 2 года назад +1

      @@Tita_la_24 That's a good way to view it. But do you want to sound bad trying to hit the notes? You need to get comfortable with those high partials before you do a song with a triple octave E. But good job though

    • @jonathantinoco3045
      @jonathantinoco3045 Год назад

      @@whatsaeuphonium9077 I mean you need to push what you’re comfortable with so you can grow and learn faster. If all you’re doing is shying away from higher notes then you’re not helping yourself. If you can’t hit them during a concert a performance, that’s understandable, but there is no other way to do it than to just do it.
