@@ashleyr6809 yeah but those views he gets now don't make that much money and these instruments are really expensive and bills to pay and other necessary stuff to function are gonna make things difficult including taxes. He most likely has a job for a musician or something
I think most of these instruments are of medium range in terms of price. Also he seems to have been collecting them in the span of years so I don't think it has really broken his budget
With the b flat Trumpet, I have the solution for you so that it isn't as loud. I play Trumpet as my first instrument, and I have learned how bright they are, and you just have to get this thing called a practice mute, which is similar yet different to the straight mute, because the straight mute kinda curves or reduces the sound by like 40-50%, which the practice mute as in the name is meant to be used for practicing the Trumpet, as it muffles the sound completely to where only those surrounding you in the area can hear it and it won't become an obnoxious sound your neighbors have to listen to. Trust me, you wouldn't regret buying a practice mute one bit. They are harder to come by compared to straight mutes, I think you just have to walk into a music store and specifically ask for one cause I thought I had gotten a practice mute from my sister who is like 16 years older than me, but she bought one off of Amazon which I have lost trust in shopping there cause they ruined a music book I got for a Euphonium, but I apparently got a straight mute instead. So I would say if you can get your hands on a practice mute for the Trumpet, it will make practicing in an apartment much easier with little to no disturbance to your neighbors.
Adjustable cup mutes work pretty well. I ended up getting the shh mute for my trombone and it is super helpful to be able to practice at night. The resistance isn't perfect but its close.

Ok I thought band teachers were instrument crazy, but this brings this to a whole new level. Instrument literally #1 and if you need the flute to be heard better a fast trick hold it up at a horizontally completely straight.
Number 59, as a trombonist, i can say the sliding can get a lot of getting used to if you have played an instrument beforehand. In my personal opinion trombone isn't too difficult due to the fact that it doesn't use a reed and it doesn't have like a hundred buttons on the instrument itself. But thanks for the shout out to the trombonist out there! It's not very often that someone gives credit to someone who plays a trombone. Mostly to the people who play a violin, piano, trumpet and the popular instruments. (sorry for the long comment)

I have a clarinet, bass clarinet (student model that goes down to low Eb), 2 trumpets (one of them is my late grandfather’s, I play on that one more) and a euphonium.
In principle, you can play instruments from all instrument families, which is actually a big challenge, at least if you want to play them at a certain level. Fortunately, all the percussion instruments are actually quite simple to learn and require more rhythmic skills than comprehensive musicality. But playing string, woodwind, brass, plucked and keyboard instruments at the same time is quite extraordinary! My main instrument is the piano, which means I can also play the organ quite well and with a bit of practice I could probably master a keyboard accordion quite well or other instruments that are based on the same principle, such as the xylophone etc. I also used to have violin lessons, but apart from a viola I couldn't play any kind of "bigger violins" properly. Then I had trombone lessons for a very short time. The tension in my lips at least allowed me to play a scale on a trumpet and a tuba after a short instruction. I then started teaching myself the banjo and at least I can now play some chords, but only because I have memorized the positions. It is not yet possible to really rethink where each note is on this instrument. But despite all these attempts, I have always stuck with the piano because it is the only instrument I can really play properly. I have not reached a great level on any of the others, but I am still glad that I have had a practical taste of most instrument families because it makes the process of arranging so much easier when you know not only in theory what possibilities each orchestral instrument has.
It says in the video description “The Disco Lick”, meaning a song made out of The Lick in the genre of Disco I suppose? In any case, not Careless Whisper based off of that info.
I feel you on the part of playing flute as a guy, I didn't know what a flute was and just chose it without ever seeing it, and when I was the last flute still in band my teacher wouldn't let me switch. But now I'm in the highest band level of my high school!
How does one manage to learn so many instruments? I just like to collect various instruments/get my hands on whatever I find, I want to learn all the instruments I can.
My favorite parts of this video of yours is 0:50 and 8:34 and 8:53 when you talk about your German violin and your Czech violin and your viola they are all amazing instruments 🎻🎻🎻
At the beginning of March it's my birthday, I'd love you to play Scare floor from Monster and Cie. Thank you so much for your work. When I listen to your music I get chills.
My dream and my goal for life is to obtain absolutely all the General Midi instruments and this video inspires me a lot to see how there is another person who practically has them all, congratulations for such a feat, it is something very worthy of admiration, greetings! !

Hi Luke, do you repair your instruments, or do you send them to a luthier?

I’m glad he’s owning up to being bad at the trombone 😂😂
Valentines day is on a wensday so I hope he does a careless whisper cover
It says in the video description “The Disco Lick”, meaning a song made out of The Lick in the genre of Disco I suppose? In any case, not Careless Whisper based off of that info.
Valentine's Day is next month, dodo
I feel you on the part of playing flute as a guy, I didn't know what a flute was and just chose it without ever seeing it, and when I was the last flute still in band my teacher wouldn't let me switch. But now I'm in the highest band level of my high school!
How does one manage to learn so many instruments? I just like to collect various instruments/get my hands on whatever I find, I want to learn all the instruments I can.
Just starting to learn alto flute after playing c flute for years! Super excited! Im going to transpose my music so I can play it when I get it lol

For those who don’t know what a euphonium is, it’s basically a tenor version of the tuba
My dream and my goal for life is to obtain absolutely all the General Midi instruments and this video inspires me a lot to see how there is another person who practically has them all, congratulations for such a feat, it is something very worthy of admiration, greetings! !
