I don't think Eisen is coward.. he's more of a careless and troublesome warrior more than anything else... almost had him and Himmel executed because of that personality.

@@UnderTakerSN1 that's the only time eisen mentioned being fearful.. and i don't think fear equates to being a coward. I think fear is a rational response to danger.. while cowardice is irrational. Anyways.. that is just my opinion and observation so far as the anime goes.. i have not read the manga so i do not know their whole personality.. i do really love this anime tho. cheers!

Fern prooobably likes Stark and was jealous of him carrying Frieren like that, seems more her either deflecting her feelings or not realizing, cause if she really thought he was a pervert she wouldn't trust him that much in general, yet Fern's constantly asserting how much trust she puts in him. And her being so eager when told it's Stark's birthday also shows how much she cares about him. But i haven't read ahead, so i also may be completely wrong, it just seems that way how it's presented here. Also, Fern is probably quite the perv herself with how she used the see-through spell on Stark, so she may just be projecting.
She is definitely projecting, that's why she isn't distrustful of Stark, because the only times she double guesses is when those ideas rise into her head. She lets her own imagination get the better of her, and whether she has feeling or not for Stark doesn't seem to be playing a role in her decision of letting him carry Frieren, imo atleast.
Remember she's only been with heiter and frieren too, she hasn't had any friends her age until she met stark
I have my own theory with the Hero's sword:
The Demon may be a threat to humanity, however he was no threat to the world. Therefore, he was not the one chosen by the sword of the Hero that will save the world from a calamity.
Also, because Stark doesn't think of himself as a strong warrior, let alone a hero, he doesn't even try to attempt to pull the sword 👀. We might see the sword come up again in the future or maybe we won't see it again in this story.
I really love Himmel so much for not even wavering in his goal. He may not be a destined hero, but he still continued on his journey to become a hero. There is most likely still a destined hero that's not Himmel, but the message of him not giving up on his own goal does not lose its significance.
Also, the voice of Stark's brother Stoltz is the same voice as Hikigaya (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU), Loid (SpyxFamily), Domas (Ranking of Kings), and Julius (ReZero).

Coming from a manga reader this is the best episode yet, it's simple yet so meaningful it tells you a lot about how a simple stake can mean so much all those simple moments are what makes me like this Anime and Manga I cried once more thank for your reaction.

That then begs the question... what is considered "worse" or more world ending in the future for the conditions to come true.
Who knows what the demons are doing, and maybe there will be another demon King. This continent should be quite big if you need 10 years for a Trip

. i think the author intentionally introduced rivale and tod in parallel to this episode with the warrior's village destroyed by rivale and the hero's sword to counter the saint of the end.
@@mankurupo That's a good theory, but Frieren & Co. are well past this village by now and certainly aren't going back to grab it. Unless someone comes around bearing the sword, they'll deal with the threat just as they dealt with the Demon King-without it.
The detail with Stolz’s cape getting covered in mud when he bends over to help stark is such a good detail. This was honestly one of the best episodes by far for me.

I honestly don't understand why so many people are considering this route, as if Frieren is at the same level as the other two, when she's really their mom/daughter. What's happening is that Fern is very serious, religious and concern about the (era appropriate, I'd imagine) standards of modesty and moral 🤷🏾♀️
It's a group of awkward people, two who had bad childhood traumas and barely interacting with people. Fern spent most of her time as a kid wither Heiter and then traveling with Frieren. Stark spent most of his time with Eisan until getting to the village. @@Nopeasaurus

demons are monsters in this context btw. demons == any type of monster that can speak the human language. Aura, Lugner and Linie are their own species of demon. afaik they are the dominant demon species in this timeline.

Fun fact: The demon that slaughtered the warriors' village has just now showed up in the newest chapter of the manga.
I don't think there is any conspiracy theory about the demon king resurrecting. They are just illustrating the simple point that it's really the hero that chooses his sword, not the sword choosing its hero. Prophecies are just prophecies, even though the sword really does seem to have some sort of powers, it's a nice-to-have not a need-to-have for a true hero. But imagine the blow to confidence that it must have given all of the party members. They really had to have a lot of confidence in Himmel or the determination to fight despite going against the odds to continue beyond this point, going against the prophecy. The sword was basically telling them that they were following the wrong guy.
Too bad so many of the western reactors failed to pick up the Doraemon reference that the animators added on purpose (when Frieren pulled out the potion), and the attempt to make an Anya face (same voice actress).
Or the prophecy is simply not talking about the demon king in the first place.
@@plantcrone9662 The sword is also just kinda... shit? It's rusted and its current existence is only to attract monsters and endanger the village, whilst the "fake" sword remains beautiful even in Himmel's casket, not to mention it actually saved the world.
I thought it was Macht, but it could be Shclact because I think those are probably the only 2 that could take Schtoltz but then that doesn't match up timeline wise considering the Hero of the south, it isn't Rivale either imo seeing as he's about to get clapped by you know who, those 4 are about to find out how powerful not only frieren is but her friends as well, trying not to spoil 😂

I'm pretty sure that's a certain very high-ranked Demon that won't come up in this season of the anime.. as he just got properly introduced in the most recent chapter of the Manga. But you got one thing right at least, it's weird that they are focusing so much on demons, innit?
Yeah I think I know who that is, it doesn't look like they will get to El Dorado this season I think the 1st class mage exam will take maybe 8 to 10 episodes or so, and there are several chapters before they get to Auberst as well as after the mage exam where there's a lot of waiting. but I'm not sure how many of them require full episodes

There actually is an interesting demon just revealed in the manga that might be related to the sword. She said her curse will engulf the star in a 100 years and went into hiding, so the sword might appear again for the time they come to face her

Everyone saying that Fern is the “real” perv for insinuating that Stark is are CRAZY. Do you guys have parents? Or are you just a typical WESTERN upbringing. Because Fern is basically EVERY NORMAL DAUGHTER in Japan, well in my region (Okinawa) at least. We were brought up to be conservative that if we see something that’s a little bit inappropriate then we will think it’s weird or “pervy” like the way Stark is offering while moving his hands like that? Yeah that’s sketchy to me if I still think the same. I’ve become more open minded and understanding but for the other 13-17 yr old girls back at home would still be acting like Fern..

Look, I love Fieren but no one can say for sure its better than FMA until its finished. Endings are what you’re left with thinking about and its what ties everything together you know? I mean look at Attack on Titan for an example of a horrible ending, that sort of ruined the story and characters.
AOT ending tied everything together even more lol. The story, messages and themes everything concluded at consistent note with what the show had been trying to accomplish. It was fittest end to such complex story. Not happy nor sad, just realistic and fitting conclusion.
Messages are perfectly conveyed unlike manga which failed to executed (The overall modification of eren and armin convo fixed lots of issues with manga ending)
I recommand rewatching zeke and armin conversation if you think ending ruined story and characters. The whole sequence is the theme of ending.
There is a reason anime ending reception is overwhelming positive compared to manga which was mixed bag.@@Nopeasaurus
