Most people have no idea how underrated and awesome stranger of paradise is and I fear we may not get a sequal too it because most are just oblivious too it's greatness. Well, all we can do is just enjoy what we got so far i guess.
I don't think the game is going to get a sequel either way. If anything, they might do a spiritual successor because this game is the origins of what eventually happens in the very first Final Fantasy game in the whole franchise so technically, that's the sequel. This game explains the plot of why Final Fantasy 1 even happens as it happens!
Yeah because a bad release really left a sour taste in people but the fact that there was a following for the game despite the bad rep the game got on release(not discussing the meme). I am happy SE saw that and continue to support the game for an entire year. Strangers really is an under appreciated gem in square Enix catalog of games. You can tell the game was a real love letter for fan of ff with layout and musical references to other games. The devs really put a lot if love and care into this game. No doubt they would love to make a sequel. But I wouldn't give up on that idea. If they really did care about sales then we wouldn't have gotten the dlc. I just hope if we do get a small series it doesn't end up like the lightning trilogy.
@@mintendymion2335 Part of the problem was their decision to put it on Epic. It would've had a much bigger following if they hadn't been stupid.
the fun part is that in a way, we already have a sequel, its called Final Fantasy I lol
FF fans not liking it cause it's not a mainline and they don't know how to play the game (from what I've seen)

5:01 warrior of light has a nice combo. Radiant slash into "Holy Light" into 2 shining waves .impressive
Just wish someone would mix the SoP motifs together into a compilation, cause damn, Jack's theme is a great one, and this version is one of my favourites.
This track is officially titled "Battle: One to Sever the Chains of Time" from the Volume 2 soundtrack of this game.
6:18 his speed is crazy that zig zag movement less than a second he closed the distance real quick.
Really wish I could have played all of the DLC, looks promising. My biggest problem with this game is how much time you need to devote, simply to grind for everything in it. From weapon leveling, job class limit breaks, character leveling, dungeon leveling, and so much more. I really enjoyed the game itself but the amount of post game content is crazy! Actually thinking back now, I might not have had the time to grind like I wanted. I got too frustrated losing to bosses in Chaos mode, which felt punishing. However, since then I've played Lies of P and Bloodborne, I can appreciate what this game was trying to do. Might pick it up again after I finish FF7 Rebirth or something.
Jack Garland is my favorite FF character.
He's a true hero.
I wish Garland could tell the Warrior his plan so that WoL wouldn't think he is just some evil asshole ...
@@DarskulThe WOL does know that SOMETHING is not right with Garland and that he can't be completely evil, I'm pretty sure in Dissidia he even mentions this, But Jack Being Jack, Just wants to fight
@@Batcena in Dissidia, Garland had just been driven to the point of nihilistic despair by the endless cycle, believing that the only way forward was to accept it. the Warrior recognized this, and thus swore to free Garland from it. it wasn't due to any heroic acts that Garland may or may not have committed previously, but due to the Warrior's own strength of character.
