    I remember.... in Final Fantasy III, there was the legend of the Five Warriors of Darkness that held the Cloud of Darkness in Check.
    The Cloud of Darkness was intended to keep Light and Darkness in "balance", but somehow this was not the true intent for the Warriors of Darkness.
    But even the Four Warriors of Light (or Onion Knights), couldn't defeat the Dark Cloud until the Warriors of Darkness sacrificed themselves...
    This all took place in a lost world called Eureka... which was connected with places like the Rift and the Void... and even Dissidia Duodecim's story told a similar (if not repeated tale) of several warriors who sacrificed themselves to "pave the way" for the true end of the Fantasy...
    I can't speak for Dissidia NT... but I can say that world was "also" a repeat of past events...

    The symbolism between Jack and the WOL lives on within these games. Without light (good) or darkness (evil) how can you have a story within a world to begin with?

Considering the will of various villains have allowed them to return to cause their heroes conflict whether its creating another timeline, coming back from the dead or being summoned to another world . • @jefthereaper
    @jefthereaper Год назад +9

    So through the DLC they are trying to imply that this Garland is not the same we see in the original FF1 or in Dissidia.
    But at the same time he is the same person, meaning they are likely saying the time loop was broken, and now Jack is experiencing a different branch.
    Ironically recreating the original loop, but with subtle differences.
    Meaning "time" between dimensions is irrelevant as everything is taking place at the same moment no matter how far in the past or future you go within your own dimension.
    Due to the events in a different dimension (Dissidia) concluding, interference bled over into the first Dimension.
    Altering the set history while still remaining very similar.
    At least that's my take on it.
    Years ago I was always skeptical that contradicting pieces of story would be canon material.
    But atm the FF division has been doing a lot of effort over the years to merge all FF games into one grand universe that exists within the same "universe" so to speak.
    Meaning the Emperor losing his magic here is likely also canon material that will be relevant in later games at some point.

    • @Bahamut3525
      @Bahamut3525 Год назад +1

      I believe Garland we used to know is the version of Jack (it's still same guy inside the amor) that got stuck in eternal time loop forever, with no hope to end the cycle. So his behavior is more crazy/obsessed because he literally does not try to end the cycle anymore. The new Jack Garland is new timeline where the same Garland actually succeeded in ending the cycle by producing the TRUE warrior of light, which fixed the FF1 world. Truth be told, the old Garland is now kind of irrelevant. New Garland is the true Garland who succeeded in his mission.

      OK this is a doozy but yes Dissdia is canon, it is even the origin of the main Warrior of Light and I'll try to explain this best I can.
      Pt 1
      So you know how the Lufreians were evil in this game and created a version of Chaos to control darkness and pump it into Cornelia to keep "balance" that Garland later destroys and takes the place of? Well they also had FF1's version of Cid and his wife create a sapient manikin (who I will mostly refer to as Spirtus to make it less confusing) to serve as a weapon to wipe out the FF1 world's summons. However Cid and his wife became attached to this manikin and began to have second thoughts so the Lufreians murdered his wife and created a manikin double of her to keep Spirtus in line and under their control. Cid in response took Spirtus and his wife's double into the Rift where they met Shinryu, the Luferians mysterious collaborator.
      There Cid made a deal with Shinryu, in payment of elevating Spirtus and the double of his wife into gods that would endlessly war with each other till Spirtus was strong enough to wipe Cid's original world from existence out of revenge and create a parallel world for them to do this, (World B) Cid would summon warriors across the Rift and only observe the conflict, while Shinryu would feed on the defeated summoned warriors memories. To help with this Garland was plucked from his time loop to train Spirtus into becoming the god of discord, Chaos, while the other manikin became Cosmos. Cycles go by and Cid returns to his senses, trying to rule lawyer Shinryu by creating a manikin double of himself to join the fight, the Warrior of Light. However, the WoL isn't enough to turn the tide of battle but he and the other warriors do impact Cosmos enough for her to care about them, resulting in her and Cid coming together to break the cycle and the deal by having both gods die and Cid transporting the warriors home.
      Shinryu of course isn't pleased and turns Cid into a moogle while also locking him into a nightmare, Cid is saved and the original Dissidia ends with WoL heading to Cornelia castle, becoming one of the 4 actual Warriors of Light.

      One of the two futures is the dissidia timeline, where he becomes chaos, eventually is felled but is reborn for 13 cycles locked in combat against the other god Cosmos. Even when "freed" they're reborn again as Spiritus and the other as Materia. Free of Shinryu's machenations but having to fight ever more to maintain their world's life.
      The different future actually breaks free from it. Their power never truly grows beyond standard ff1's chaos. nioh devs can make good combat but they make it so bad with their builds and equipment systems

    This is bullshit lmao
    The emperor is one if not the strongest antagonist of the entire final fantasy franchise ... but i guess squarenix needs to make thier new toy overpowered, once again, how they did with Lightning. Consistency has long left this franchise with the original creator and mind of final fantasy Sakaguchi.
    Also the game implies, with the ending narrated (which is by the way the original ending of final fantasy 1 which implied that you were the warriors of light who defeated garland) that this ending was meant for garland? and that you were garland and not the warrior of light who deafeated garland???
    its so stupid and completely utter disrespect for the original idea. Basically FF7 remake plote garbage.

      Get over it, garland is the embodiment of "chaos" you sound like a fool thinking emperor can tank chaos all by myself.

      You're saying Garland is a "overpowered toy" lol?
      THE Garland who became Chaos? He and his fiends are God tier.

      Also, the ending of SOP is FF1 ending. Warriors of light (empowered by Bahamut) kill Garland.
