TranscribeMe declined my application after I passed the test ! they said in an automated email that I have violated their guidelines for creating multiple accounts which I never did! It broke my heart. I spent three days preparing for the entrance exam and passed the test on my first try. I really needed this job. Please can you help me?
While watching this tutorial, I have realized so many mistakes I made while taking my Transcription test. Thanks so much, Jennifer. I will definitely try again with all these instructions in mind.

Quick update, Jennifer, in the current style guide, we were given the instruction: "No parentheses or Ellipses." However, in your video you said we should use ellipses to mark an incomplete sentence. What do you think?
How do I represent that a speaker's answer to a question is guessed, without making it sound like a question? e.g. speaker 1:''Why are you all tired?'' speaker 2: ''don't know; maybe it's the weather.'' speaker 3: ''I have a terminal disease???'' or ''I have a terminal disease...?'' How should number three be written as?

How would you transcribe when someone uses the expression, "I'm using air quotes here."? This the complete sentence as spoken: Speaker1: What is that phrase? And maybe you know what it is, but if somebody is - I'm using air quotes - and activists on social media, but they only do it for a short period of time.
Hello, Jennifer. I recently submitted my first job as a transcriptionist. It was a 4 min clip. QA fully processed the file and I got a feedback message telling me that my work was 95% accurate and that I've done a good job. But my payment history shows that I've received 1$. I don't understand this. It is clearly mentioned that the hourly rate for a transcriptionist is 15$ per hour. Is it because it was my assignment? Is there something else I should know? By the way, thank you for these videos. They've helped me immensely.
Great job on your file! The pay rate is per audio hour not per hour of work. $15 per audio hour would be for transcribing 60 minutes of audio. So the pay you got does match that. I know it is poor pay. Rev or Transcribeme pay better

@@sabrinashafeek9532 sameee i tried agn and failed oh well :(( idk why they gave me another try though but i have to restart from the very first test. im gonna do go transcript instead cus they have lower passing scores and they dont count punctuation mistakes like commas im pretty sure, im gonna see how it works outtt, planning to do the test tmr

Hmm, I don't know of any. I think most of them let you try again and again, but there is a waiting period between tries.

TranscribeMe won't let you use ellipses for pauses anymore. They only allow them for conventional formatting according to the guidelines.

$15 divided by 60 = 25 cents per minute. In all my videos on transcription, I try to make that very clear because people assume it is per hour of work
