I may not be a lawyer but after watching this trial neither should the prosecutor.
😂
😃😄😂💀
That was actually good, nice.
The prosecutor isn't stupid, and knows he had a tough case to prove.
I have not paid too much attention, but due to the evidence, the prosecutor did have a really hard job. To me, it was pretty much a clear case of self-defense.
Bruce watching this like a sports game! Shows his dedication as a lawyer
Totally looked like he was going to switch to football after lol (especially with the casual wear)
Nah, it's just people who want to have insight in this case so they're not talking about their but like everyone on Twitter who gives an opinion but knows nothing about the case.
@@kiroolioneaver8532 def is normal routine, watch a lil bit of a trial then watch the game
Lol, I watch trials as sport games or TV dramas, and I'm not even a lawyer.
@@miloradowicz same lol I went to Law School and studied Contract Law and I enjoy watching trials. This case was not enjoyable for me though, I was sad and disgusted that the Investigators and D.A. Office abused our system. I have never seen so much evidence and so much drama in a televised trial.
Hell yeah, Bruce River is definitely getting that bag. Look at that view

He earned every penny
@@Vlad__b1401 ive seen alot of criminals but never seen a criminal with alot of money.

The moral outrage dictated the legal charges brought against Kyle, which was never going to work out in the prosecution’s favor.
100%
@Discord Mod a lot of people post responses with links for fishy reasons- or trying to get their views up and will do this on every random video they can find🤣
Not really it’s just when your white your allowed to do certain things
It has worked for the prosecution a lot lmaooo just not with white boys🤣😭
@@MrWwerocks12 on god there are so many self defense cases in the hood that is just seen as murder
Bruce out here speaking reason when both social and mainstream media got people acting crazy
Facts
People just don’t understand the legal system they think he got off because he’s white
Bruce Rivers is very sympathetic to a an illegal gun carrying white boy killer!
@@1961ShotSnap did you even watch his video on the case?
He did indeed. World needs more people like him honestly. He spoke reason too when he covered the Kim Potter and Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard cases when just like with the Kyle Rittenhouse case, social and mainstream media got people acting crazy.
The reason why Kyle was found not guilty is the same reason why Breonna Taylor’s boyfriend was found not guilty after shooting at police. It’s the same reason why just this week a black man in Florida was found not guilty of MURDER after he accidentally shot and killed his girlfriend when the cops executed a no knock warrant. He also shot at deputies and was a criminal in possession of a firearm. This has nothing to do with race and everything to do with the law. The biggest failure in all of these situations is the government. They failed to stop the riots in Kenosha, they failed to execute a warrant properly which resulted in 2 innocent women being killed.
Well, Kyle was found not guilty because he was defending himself. There is; however, no reason to shoot at police, and if you are a fellon, you shouldn't even have a gun.
@@Lance.Gardenhire They were all defending themselves, that's the point. What would you do if you woke up to the sound of someone trying to break in your house at 2:00 am, are you going to stop and ask "hey are you police?". OF COURSE NOT,
You are wrong about Breonna Taylor, the police did have a no knock warrant but they didnt use it and knocked on the door. 100% the police are responsible for the Kyle shootings however, if the police had been doing thier job and confronting the rioters then that kid would ever have been put in this situation.
@@Lance.Gardenhire not true at all. If armed men break into your house in the middle of the night how tf are you supposed to know they are cops? You wake up hearing someone smash down your door and run in are you saying oh guys hold on are you with the police department?
@@lb4581 I was talking about the Fallon who had a gun. He shouldn't of had it in the first place. I'm not saying he was wrong for shooting at someone who was appearing to try and break in, I'm saying he was wrong for having the gun in the first place.
Better than a mistrial. And that prosecutor was a total clown, what an ass. He's going to have a hard time living this one down.
Oh yeah he'll be a meme for life do doubt. I don't think I've ever heard a judge put a lawyer in their place as frequently as him, and he simply would not stop!
I watched a bit of the trial and I couldn't take him seriously after he brought up Kyle playing Call of Duty as if violent video games had something to do with this lmao
@@sneersh9107 You're fucking joking? I didn't watch or listen to much of it, so I don't know the facts, but if violent video games was gonna be even a catalyst in violence, then we'd have a couple hundred million murderers around the world right about now. It's been disproven time and time again, and you're telling me a lawyer actually tried to use that shit 😂... What a clown.
@@RS-fy9hb yup it was only like 10 minutes in too, it was crazy how much of a joke his argument was
To be fair, the prosecution had no case.
I think the biggest issue is not is Kyle guilty because it was clearly self defense but all the poor and unlucky individuals who didn't recieve the high quality representation Kyle did and are now rotting in jail.
That is the great injustice.
I completely agree
@Gregory Sonnenberg Sorry I am confused on what you mean
Agreed I think most people who wanted him convicted only wanted him convicted because they feel if he was black he would be getting locked up but that’s not how you fix the problem
Now I can agree with this!
Geting high quality representation is not an issue of race, or minority. It's a class issue. There are plenty of non-minority people who do not have access to great defense. Stop thinking along racial lines.
I really enjoy your content Bruce. I love learning about the law, and our judicial system. Much love and respect from Ohio.
I second this! I’m also from Ohio
Glad the jury had backbones. Only people I see saying this verdict was wrong are people that obviously haven’t been watching the case and actually reading into the facts. Too many people sit in Twitter all day and get their views from celebrities that only say things for their own personal gains even if it goes against what they know is correct.

I’ve actually never heard a good legal argument for why it wasn’t self defense just som stupid political arguments.
They tried in the last leg of the trial. . . It didn't work out so great for them
because he crossed state lines as a minor with a gun that wasn't his. he knew he was going into a violent situation. he knew what he was doing when he went there
@@pineapple9405 it's almost like you don't know how to pay attention
There’s no good “legal” argument but it’s really common sense that you shouldn’t drive to another state with an AR as a minor. Then he proceeded to take it to where people where protesting/rioting
@@SlyFireVR the prosecution team got off to such a bad start. They played catch up the rest of the trial and it all came off as forced and contradicted their opening statement
Holding the gun with his finger on the trigger for his closing arguments wasn’t a good look either.
I was waiting for this upload. Great videos, Bruce.
Thank you for this!! Was looking forward to hearing what you had to say and you where quick w/ it!!! Thank you thank you
I hope you are right about the Arbery case, I too though that the prosecution lady did an awesome job. She was on the ball.
The prosecution was nuts on this one; it’s clear that he was acting out of self defense, but what’s not excused is why he went there to begin with armed…I would have completely understood if he was convicted of things like the gun charge or some of those lesser charges, but murder…was a bit of a stretch.
@@thefourshowflip To understand why he was there to begin with we'd need to put ourselves back in the summer of 2020. Cities were getting burned down, people getting beaten almost to death (or to death) in the streets by BLM and Antifa, police stood down and let it happen, Democrats and media encouraged it, Hollywood (and Kamala Harris's election team) had bailout funds for rioters so they could get bailed out and go right back to burning shit down, one group of Antifa/BLM set up an independent state in Washington called CHAZ (in which two people were murdered, rape and assault was a nightly occurance, and the police refused to enter), the mayor there called it "a summer of love" and so on and so forth.
Kenosha, too, was burning. Violence on the streets. Democrat authorities standing down the police, media encouraging the riots and calling them "peaceful protests."
It's no wonder some people stood up and said NO. I'm honestly surprised this didn't happen more often.
@@Aethelhald
Im aware the circumstances and context; my point is that for me, none of that justifies what is, in essence, vigilantism. I reject the categorization that one exonerates the other, or that if one is wrong then the other is right-they’re not mutually exclusive. The fact remains that his choice to go there in no small part contributed to the events that occurred that night. I don’t blame him for defending himself-I blame him for being a dumb teen who thought LARPing with a rifle was in anyway advisable (and no doubt being a dumb teen isn’t a crime)
@@thefourshowflipthe fact his mother took him there too, the fact the gun was purchased for him by a friend when he wasn’t old enough and just the whole thing. If he hadn’t taken a gun and shot people it wouldn’t have happened. People were trying to get the gun away from him so that the people who died wouldn’t have died but they did anyways.
@@NoireTheElin
That claim about his mother didn’t bear out in court (trust me I was outraged when I heard the claim, but based on what we learned in the trial that claim about his mother taking him there turned out to be false, and we have no evidence of deception).
It’s also undeniable that others were exhibiting aggressive and at times violent behavior towards Kyle-we could argue whether they would have done anything to anyone else there and whatnot but at the end of the day, we’ll never know the “what if” (and they could go both ways since they’re completely speculative)-more importantly, as much as I can comprehend the argument that his presence with a gun could be threatening…it doesn’t justify a confrontation, let alone an act of aggression (and while I wonder how dumb one needs to be to play vigilante…it’s equally dumb to me for someone to try to attack an armed person with some bottles and whatnot. It’s actually dumb to attack someone period, but that’s a different issue).
For me this issue is just beyond the line of the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin situation. Zimmerman took a firearm specifically to confront Martin on a flimsy suspicion that he had shoplifted…despite clear instructions from 911 dispatch that told him not to and that officers were on the way. He intended to confront his target, not merely be present in the area. It’s this distinction that is what differentiates the two for me-again, stupid choice to go there (and if my repeatedly calling it LARPing doesn’t indicate how ridiculous I think his choices were, im not sure what will), and his decision to go armed shows he was cognizant of the potentials, but that doesn’t give the other people license to instigate a confrontation. While I’d agree that were he not there, he wouldnt have shot anyone-I’d also argue that had the first victim not have done what he was doing (quite plainly on video) the incident would almost certainly not have occurred.
Been waiting on this since I heard the news

Impossible for any prosecutor to do a good job prosecuting the case when the facts of the case don’t go your way at all. Should never have been tried, and you know this is true because the head DA took a pass on prosecuting. Biggest case of his career and he palmed it off to his assistant DA, only reason he’d do that is so the L wouldn’t be on his resume.
I agree he didn't murder anyone. But I definitely think he was guilty in the sense that, had he, a 17 YEAR OLD BOY, not driven into a crazy situation with a loaded assault rifle that he had to have a friend hold for him because he wasn't allowed to, that no one would be dead, Kyle wouldn't have had to go through a hellish trial and media storm, and overall everyone would be a lot happier.
Kyle was not a police officer, he was not a soldier, he was not an EMT: he was a 17 year old boy who willingly put himself into a stupid situation, for nothing. He didn't own businesses or property there, and even if he did, property is NEVER worth shooting someone over...this isn't Iran, in this country destruction of property has a certain punishment, and it isn't capital punishment.
Do I think he should be found guilty of murder and locked away for the rest of his life for what he did that day at age 17? Absolutely not. Do I THINK he was guilty of at least some sort of reckless endangerment, or, POSSIBLY, the least serious manslaughter or accidental death charges possible in that state (3rd in some states, other states have diff names)? Yes to the first, MAYBE to the second.
But just to say: what were his parents doing? He bought this gun and had a friend hold it? Did they know about that? Furthermore, did he drive himself, again a 17-year-old boy, into this crazy situation without them stopping him? If they didn't, what is wrong with them? If they didn't know, then why didn't they know? There are protests and some riots breaking out nearby and he disappears and you don't question where he went? If they did find out where he went, why didn't they tell him to get home IMMEDIATELY and get that gun out of his hands? I mean holy shit, they either have no idea what's going on with their child, OR, they're completely irresponsible letting him take himself into an insane situation where he doesn't belong.
I respect the decision of the jury because I also don't think he was guilty of premeditated murder, or even murder at all (again, MAYBE the least serious manslaughter for the one death, at worst? MAYBE?), but I do think he should've faced some sort of punishment for those irresponsible actions. However, that is the state's (prosecutor's) fault for not bringing the correct charges.
I am VERY HAPPY HIS LIFE IS NOT OVER AT AGE 17 FOR A STUPID DECISION. However, that stupid decision (to, as a *CHILD* of 17 years of age, go into the situation he did) did lead to death.
There were no winners here: death, a man who was shot, all of their families, and Kyle too. He has to live with having shot someone, having done something that resulted in someone's death, and all the collateral damage that comes with it. 100% sure he has PTSD from all of it, as well as the person he shot and everyone else there and all the families.
He had no malicious intent, he had good intentions when he drove out there, I doubt in a million years he thought he would've ended up in the situation he did, but it was seriously wrong and misguided to go there. So again, I just have to ask: why didn't his parents prevent this?
This was a complete tragedy, and anyone who tried to politicize this should shut the hell up. Kyle didn't want to be some martyr for gun rights (IDK if he is now, but if he is, that's gross TBH), which is why he let his first legal team go as he felt they were more concerned about guns and stand your ground shit than they were with then ensuring he was found not guilty. The legal team he finally went to court with said they couldn't care less about arguing ANY of that bullshit, and that their ONLY GOAL was to ensure Kyle was found not guilty. They succeeded, and I'm glad his life isn't over. But I'm also sad that, because of the foolish actions that he made while still not yet an adult, people were hurt and died.
From a moral perspective, we can argue all day whether he should’ve been there or not. But from a legal standpoint, the kid did no wrong.
Actually there is no argument, he was there first, a day before or even longer, its literally where the kid grew up and he had more of a right to be there than literally anyone else
@@carlmccartney1025 Nobody had a right to be at that riot, for protective purposes or not, there was a curfew in place.

Under Wisconsin law re homicide, which differs broadly state to state. Had the law said that you get no break if you carried the gun illegally, he'd be off to do life.
@@johnsmith1474 The law in Wisconsin says that Rittenhouse can legally carry a gun at 17 years of age. If the law said you could not have self defence with an illegal weapon, he would still be fine. Because he never broke the law concerning weapon possession.

The law has nothing to do with hunting. The law about hunting is 29.304, but a the law about dangerous weapons 948.60 has many other exceptions. One of them is 941.28, it has nothing to do with hunting.
I have included the laws in question if you want to read.
948.60(a) Any person under 18 years of age who possesses or goes armed with a dangerous weapon is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.
948.60(c) This law (meaning all of 948.60) applies only to a person under 18 years of age who possesses or is armed with a rifle or a shotgun if the person is in violation of s. 941.28.
941.28 Possession of short-barreled shotgun or short-barreled rifle.
(1) In this section:
(a) “Rifle" means a firearm designed or redesigned, made or remade, and intended to be fired from the shoulder or hip and designed or redesigned and made or remade to use the energy of a propellant in a metallic cartridge to fire through a rifled barrel a single projectile for each pull of the trigger.
(b) “Short-barreled rifle" means a rifle having one or more barrels having a length of less than 16 inches measured from closed breech or bolt face to muzzle or a rifle having an overall length of less than 26 inches.
@@trevorgibbs9357 As for the gun being a straw-man purchase...Maybe? The gun was being kept at the friends house till Kyle turned 18. That would mean that the friend was the possessor. If it was a true straw-man purchase one would expect Kyle to take the gun home. So...maybe?

@UCY8UCEjZze4LqO2FJde761A that was a nonsense word salad, he can try to sue but probably won't be successful, since the 1st amendment mostly but not fully protects the press. Mr. Rivers called out this verdict from the start and the Ahmaud Arbery case right out of the gate. You can tell this man knows how the courtroom works.
People have lost their minds. We just saw the system work as intended. The case was tried, the evidence was in favor of the defense, and the defendant was found not guilty. What's the issue?
Right? I don’t agree with the fact that the riot was happening, the fact that he went there, the fact that his moron mother brought her child there with a gun, a bunch of other things about the case, but at the end of all this….. a jury of his peers found him not guilty. It’s over. I hope there isn’t more riots because of it. This is our system. Respect it.
Dang liberals they’ll kill us all
It’s more of a moral issue. He followed loopholes to validate killing people.
Went out armed knowing it’s dangerous, and the energy is high. Knew he was going to receive backlash being there. Waited until he was in the position to use “self defense” and killed 2 people.
Because it's not as simple as guilty not guilty it's a grey area. It was technically self defense but at the same time does it really count when you're the one who put yourself in the situation. I think we can all agree that a 17yo child has no business running around by himself at a root with his ar15.. it's like Bruce said, its morally wrong but legally right
@@gabrielgalaxygh it literally is that simple. When people attack you unprovoked and you shoot them, that's self defense. The idea that it's not that simple because he "put himself in that situation" is nonsensical. I've literally never heard anyone use this argument until this case.

Would love to see more live verdict reactions from Bruce. Something like travis trial. Invest in a good LAV mic set up so we can get good quality audio even if he’s relaxed on his couch . As a listener from work this would make my experience much better! Good shit on this one though, Bruce!
Part one done. Get ready for part two featuring Kyle suing everyone for defamation.
A win for the boy.good for him
Thank you
Well said mr Bruce. But I’m distracted by the change of background. Kinda want a CLR Cribs edition now.
Bruce in the nice ass condo😳
Regardless of what you think of the verdict, pray for no more violence tonight
I live ten minutes from Kenosha. They got like 500 National guards on standby I doubt there’s gonna be another riot.
@@Ozzyozzysheesh prolly b in milwaukee instead
@@aaronrackman9233 yea that’s more likely but I also saw a news clip from Milwaukee pd saying they are preparing. We’ll see tonight
Thank God the Jury Members were more Educated than the Media 👏 👏 👏
Well said.
speak on young dolph please!
Love your content Bruce & like how you keep it 💯!
I have to ask though, if a violent mob of lawless people was coming to your house your penthouse or mansion to destroy it & burn it down, would you not want armed security & for them to have more than pistols to protect your property? I ask because you said a AR15 was to much…
Just hangin' out in my highrise, chillin' like Rico Suavé😎
That’s a Miami skyline if I’ve seen one. Happy to have been supporting a fellow Floridian :)
Kyle was in medic training through a program! Saying he was a medic isnt a big deal since he was in medic training.
False. Though I agree with the verdict, a medic in training is not a medic until certified. You're not a police officer until you graduate from the police academy set by local and state standards.
I think the main fault is on his parents he’s still not forming his own strong morals at this age, and his parents seemed to have supported him open carrying at a protest.
He was within his rights. Now whether it was smart or wise is another discussion.
What a joke, this kids morals are far superior to that of the people whom attacked him. Get real.
Agreed he ruined his own one life with the decisions he made!! As much as he wanted to help as a 17 year old he had no business being an hour away from home with a gun at a protest defending a stupid gas station !!! Who tf would go to jail for a building?
@@robertkortright2428 a man would. Look at you disparaging a young man for doing what he thinks is right, and not disparaging the rioters. Shame on you. Since you can't be bothered looking at the facts and evidence. Kyle was offer medical aid to these rioters, his dad lives in Kenosha, he had every right to carry that gun to protect himself - it's our second ammendment right. YOU are ridiculous, and your moral condemnation is so far skewed and perverted that you should sincerely perform some self examination.
@@robertkortright2428 "who would go to jail over a bus seat?"
"Who would go to jail over using a public water fountain?"
-- that's you, that's your logic. Un-ironically, that's the argument you are making. "What are rights? Why would someone stand up for their rights?" Do you not see how bitter your statement sounds?
waiiiiit, i live in the same building in Miami as Bruce Rivers lol that's wild
And you predicted the verdict too! Bruce is the goat!
