As a guy who works on his own cars, I've got to say this is an impressive car. I like simplicity, no turbos, no GDI. I drove one of these as a rental, and as I walked up to it I kind of laughed to myself thinking what a joke it would be. I truly enjoyed my time driving it, and would definitely consider buying one. I think it's quite impressive that you can get one of these loaded up for a bit over $30,000 CAD. Personally I think the CVT on this works very well, and the fuel economy is fantastic.

Thx for the comment!
It’s about time they put LED’s in the headlights!!! It’s 2024! They came to the party a little late! I owned a 21 Elantra, traded it in for an Acura 👍
oh damn the USA version of the SEL comes with the “tech package.” our convenience package offers a sunroof, and 17in wheels, but 10.25in cluster and infotainment standard.
Yep, we've got the tech package one as well. But yeah there's always some trim differences between the countries.
Can you pls point out the cosmetic differences between a preferred and a preferred with tech pack like does the tech pack have full led bar as tail lights?
The optional tech package adds the 10.25 digital instrument cluster, 10.25-in infotainment screen with navigation, ambient interior lighting, sunroof, dual zone automatic climate control, auto defrost windshield, blue link, differently styled 17-in alloy wheels.
Ohok thank you
It does not have the full length light on the tail light. I have the preferred with tech package. Love the car though!! We've had the 2013, 2019,2021, and now this one. @@Iamnis861
Love they kept the 3” screen too👍! Nice Job Hyundai 👍You’re supposed to get better, year after year. A 6, or 8 speed transmission would be nice too? IVT👎
Honestly, as much as I hate cvt transmissions, this ivt is awesome. Consider that Honda, Nissan, Toyota, GM, etc etc also use cvts.
Plus if you really want a 7 speed, that is available in the N-line. And a bigger screen is only a trim level up.
You can't really complain about some of the lower end features on a vehicle that has an entry-level price. Compare this to the competition and it's actually extremely well equipped price to price.
@@edsgarage001 I have an Acura now, with an 8 speed , duel clutch transmission, and it’s night and day, compared to that lacking feeling of feeling the car shift, that a CVT, IVT transmission gives.
Well sure.. but how much did your Acura cost.
Acura is a higher priced vehicle, this Elantra competes with a low end Civic.
You should include some of the cons of the car in your reviews too and go beyond narrating features and pointing out the positives. It will give your reviews more substance.
I actually did .
No projector headlights
No padding on the rear door arm rests
No center cup holder arm rest in the back
No split folding rear bench
No led tail lights
No marker lights on the mirrors
I mentioned all of these things
Please advise on reliability @@edsgarage001
Did they put LED’s throughout the entire car? No way with the grey rims. Black would look much better, to blend with all the black trim. The badges should be black also. Who’s designing these cars?
I like black wheels too, but those old ones were hideous. These look much better. Video/pictures don't do it justice
@@edsgarage001 I agree. That was the first thing I changed, when I bought the SEL? I went to a 17” rim, aftermarket, like a 5 spoke, brushed aluminum, and black? The rims it came with were absolutely gross. I totally agree, and have no idea, what the engineers are thinking?
