By far the biggest farewell in baseball history was Lou Gehrig’s “Luckiest man” speech on July 4, 1939.
Its sad on how he had to give up his career for a disease not known to man in the 1930s. Babe Ruth even spoke in the speech feeling bad for the man
Man, all the players I grew up watching are slowly going away. Ortiz, Miggy, Jeter, Mariano, Ichiro, Pujols, Molina the list goes on and on. Really miss these guys
Same here, dude guys I grew up watching and idolizing. 😢
イチローさん・・お辞めになった後も体型も変わらず若々しいので、これを見ても本当につい最近の様に感じてしまいます😌
Bro no matter how crappy the world around us is, thank God for baseball and the good feels it gives us.
Tell me about it. Baseball has gotten me through some tough times battling depression.
I was at miggys last game and I will never forget that game. Thank you miggy
We’re entering a new era of baseball and I’m in for it
"He pats his hand on his heart, that's his heart with his hand"
A++ commentating right there 🤣🤣🤣
The great players from our childhoods getting the final farewells they definitely deserve!!!
Man going up a cardinals fan ngl when Molina Pujols and Waino walked off I cried
Yeah
Big Papi's and Miggy's were the best. ALL LEGENDARY PLAYERS!!! And obviously Rivera and Jeter!!

Today (today) I consider myself (self) the luckiest man on the face of the earth.
Man the baseball i grew up as a kid is rapidly changing. I can't wait to see what the new crop of superstars like Acuna Jr, Shohei, and others like them.
They are gonna have to add the 2024 Dodgers to this list when they get bounced out of the first round after making all those moves 🤣🤣🤣
That game with Pujols, Molina, and Wainright all coming out at once for the last time made me tear up and made me realize there will never be a better player at their position that will have that big of an impact on baseball.
I’m not a cards fans but, I teared up myself. I’m a fan of the game and have mad respect for them 😎🤙🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I’m a Boston fan to and as much as I hate their franchise, I will miss seeing those 3 @@ramonhernandez1623 On 1 field
I'm from St. Louis and I physically sobbed watching them come off the field. Everyone knew that moment was the end of a golden era for Redbirds baseball
As much as I loathe the Yankees. Jeter's walk off has to be top ten, at least in my life time.
I first became a baseball fan in 2013, in the middle of Miggy's prime. He not only has been a phenomenal player but genuinely enjoys the game like a little kid. You could not have written a better ending to his career. First ballot HOF without a speck of doubt!
David Ortiz And Miguel Cabrera Farewells Were Incredible
We will never forget these legends
Detroit will never forget you Miguel ❤
I can't imagine being a Cards fan watching Pujols, Yadi, and Waino all walking off together for the last time
The Waino/Yadi/Albert one hurt me emotionally. Those 3 were posters on EVERYONE'S bedroom walls growing up in STL in the early 2000s. Back in the days of the "MV3" Golden Era of Cardinals baseball. I physically cried watching them leave the field. I knew it was curtains for these 3 after their awesome careers
the greatest legends of the modern era... the best to play the game. had the pleasure of watching them play. Well most of them
Thank yu miggy for being the face of alot of peoplea team(myself included) and making baseball fun. Well miss yu❤❤❤
Cabrera es una leyenda
Watching miggys last ab was tough. End of an era, he is truly an amazing talent
King Felix and his homie Adrian Beltre I will always love their chemistry and enjoyment of both players facing each other or playing with the same team
not having david wright is criminal
As lifelong NYorker diehard Yankee I double that...D-Wright gave it all for the Mets and our city
That Joe Mauer hit different as a twins fan. Watched the Minnesota boy take one from behind the plate one last time
Ichiro's is poetic
Joe Mauer….my childhood hero is now a Hall of Famer ❤️
Watching Mauer’s farewell made me tear up as a lifelong twins fan.
You should add Gary Carter’s last at-bat at Olympic Stadium.
Not a Yankees fan, but I would have to say Mariano Rivers’s final game is the best farewell.
I think one of the coolest things about his farewell was that at no point in that season did he pitch like a guy at the end of his career. We all know that he could have played at least a couple more years.
And the Twins won the contest for coolest parting gift with their Rocking Chair of Broken Dreams, made out of bats Rivera had shattered.
I'm not crying, you're crying
Derek Jeter's walk off hit was in his final HOME GAME, not his final game. His final game was in Boston. So many people have forgotten this because Michael Kay said "final game"
This was great besides the Takis ad in the middle of Jeter's walkoff
I waited on George Brett one time and he was not what people said...he was kind and respectful to me.
Muchos grandes de la MLB por ahí vienen Pujols y Beltre también
Esos dos están en ese grupo
wow
Where s Adrian Beltre???
As a Cardinals fan, when Waino, Pujols, and Yadi all walked off it gave me chills. I’m only 17 and have only remembered the last decade or so of Cardinals baseball but it’s not ever going to be the same without these 3.
I love King Felix's farewell
#Jet and #Riv
the way chipper jones is not on this list is crazy
And they were mad about Acuna celebrating a 40 hr 70 SB season at 2nd. LMAO
#ICH
Nananana nananana na na na hey hey hey goodbye
Bro 😂
Uncalled for
Why didn’t you include David Wright?
He was a very good player, but this list was guys like Pujols, Miggy, Mariano, Jeter, Ripken, Gehrig... Wright ain't close to that level. So my guess is they stuck to players who have more of a legendary quality.
Just to be clear, I don't mean this as an insult to Wright, who was a very good ballplayer, and a borderline hall candidate. He just isn't really on the level of the guys mentioned.
No Chipper Jones
No Paulie?
Hello
First…
Let’s go I’m firstt
Man I was first to comment or was I
Was I?
Todd Helton walking off his last game at Coors with a home run not making it? More Anti-Coors propaganda.
