@MANCHESTER UNITED Who asked? All Marek is trying to say is that say "I am retiring" and that it is hard for a athlete to say. And you come in saying soccer is the best sport. Smh
There’s one clip that always makes me cry is when a nfl player scores a touch down for he son who died 5 hours before the game and the kids last word were “your my hero” Edit: thank u so much for 800 likes
i loved the guy growing up. was a mets fan and obviously wright and reyes were my guys but was a huge prince fan too. i should be watching him retire after this season, shouldnt have had to watch it at the beginning of high school
I can’t even imagine the emotion of playing your final game as a professional athlete. Something they dedicated their lives to since they were little kids
I wasn't alive to feel the emptiness of the bills playoff drought, but it made me happy to see my parents tear up. That clip did get me this time. Happy tears only🥺
It sucks when you have to watch someone work so hard for their career and then an injury ruins it. It breaks my heart watching these men and women break down because they don’t know what else to do with their life after that.
Prince Fielders retirement press conference is one I'll never forget. These guys do make a lot of money and some are jerks. But the ones that care and always have played hard and earned the recognition, when they lose their career to Injury and have to go on Live TV and pretty much tell the world they have to give up the thing they love so much and worked hard for their entire life must be heart breaking. I play softball now as a 36 year old. And I'm scared to have to say that I cant do it anymore. It def feels like you let down the squad and yourself and all your friends. But in reality it's a stupid ass injury. But all love to Prince. He was and always will be a fucking animal in my eyes. The Kid was a man amongst Men when he finally got into MLB and was crushing balls his entire career. God Bless Him and great video
Who misses when the Detroit Tigers had all the good players and they where good but know there bad and it makes me think of my papa who passed away a month ago and I really hope they do better this year
The worst thing about sports is you get attached to it so deeply whenever some of your teams lose your players retire you get heartbroken even if they don't even know you exist. They understand that the fans are deeply connected to us and would be all broken if something doesn't go in a right way
Sad how prince fielder's career was cut so short. One of the best players to watch, one of those guys who is just a little kid having fun while the ball game is on
I hate sports and I cried thru the whole video. I just think back their childhoods and the years of hard work and true dedication they’ve put in all these years. I’ll bet it was devastating leaving the sport they love. Truly amazing. ❤️😭😭😭
Allow me to explain for people who don't watch sports why athletes retiring can be emotional: I understand why you wonder what's so sad about a multi-millionaire no longer being able to professionally play a game. The overwhelming majority of professional athletes have very short careers and transition into retirement without any note or fanfare from the wider world of sports. When these more extravagant goodbyes happen, the athlete in question will have had a career for at least a decade and been in the public eye for equally as long. Consequentially, they become a part of our lives the same way our favourite singers do, and when they decide to call it quits it marks the end of an era. The ones that really affect you - well, the ones that really get to me - are those whose careers began when we were still kids or otherwise young. When Roy Halladay retired, it wasn't just that there would no longer be a new game for him to pitch, it made clear that my childhood was over. When Tom Brady eventually retires, whatever else one may think of him, it will have a similar effect.
The Mariano Rivera one got me....cause that was something out of a freaking Hollywood movie. Movies always have the main character live in New York city and at the end of the movie more times then not a crowd of new Yorkers are giving the character an applause for some reason. New york the greatest city on earth they say right?
I was in a little league team, we got a playoff game today 1st game, lost... The worst thing about that game is leaving the field and leaving my team. "What you do speaks louder than you say" Anthony Rizzo-
I ruptured my left achilles in a soccer game when I was thirty. That empty feeling knowing that it was over. Even if I did get it all repaired, I had more important things to do with life than soccer. I love that game. Still do. The good news is that I know I love to teach the game (learned that when I had a knee injury in college)... But having to tell my team that I was seriously injured...and that, no, I wasn't coming back after surgery. Ugh. Good friends.
The hardest 3 words an athlete can ever say is "I am retiring"
@MANCHESTER UNITED Who asked? All Marek is trying to say is that say "I am retiring" and that it is hard for a athlete to say. And you come in saying soccer is the best sport. Smh

Stuff like this is why I watch sports. Because of all these good moments and stuff like that.
It so much about life, my opinion these athletes, are human with feelings, even the ones that I oppose when they play my team, respect.
whoever teared up a bit is a true sports fan!
Supa Sports so true

Dude I freaking bawling like a baby
OnGod did

Every athlete knows how sad it is leaving that field for the very last time
The catchers face at 1:44 is like “wait this guy is important
HAHAHA
I can’t even imagine the emotion of playing your final game as a professional athlete. Something they dedicated their lives to since they were little kids
Second video gets me. When he hugs Jeter you can just see the love he has for his team and this game.
3:34 Made me cry, you can just see the pain in his body language.
In the first one it's so sad because you spend all your life training to go professional, and then all of your hard work just disapears
Love Prince Fielder, his passion and joy showed every day he played.
Anyone who ignores a handshake and goes for a hug deserves eternal life
Boys don’t cry but real men do
4:15 i was at that game I got a football by Adam Jones when he was injured

Gage Rosicky I actually kind of believe him cause it’s so random😂

You have to love how the catcher purposely drops the ball seeing how close the runner was
I think so too
I couldn't imagine trying to play a game hours after my son died. Idk maybe that's the only way the father could stay sane at all.
Red Sox. Cried when Jeter retired. Good man. Helluva ball player
i was your 500th sub
You do not put Jeter right after Rivera, that is cold. Thank you for the amazing video, and the perfect choice and volume of music
Man I don’t cry much but this video was special
The ones wit Rivera, Jeter, and the Bills all get me bc it’s my favorite sports teams and Jeter is my all time favorite
As a rangers fan when prince retired it broke my heart 💔😓
I started crying when the father to the infant started crying because the baby passed away a couple hours before the game
That Mo moment is unreal. What a player...this coming from a Boston guy.

I like your style of montage!
Sad how prince fielder's career was cut so short. One of the best players to watch, one of those guys who is just a little kid having fun while the ball game is on
Mariano was the greatest closer since Eckersley. True legend.
Best part about Jeter’s last at-bat is you can see Jimmy Fallon in the background lol

retiring and being forced into retirement are two completely different things...

"What you do speaks louder than you say"

I ruptured my left achilles in a soccer game when I was thirty.
That empty feeling knowing that it was over. Even if I did get it all repaired, I had more important things to do with life than soccer.

But having to tell my team that I was seriously injured...and that, no, I wasn't coming back after surgery. Ugh. Good friends.
My biggest is having to pitch my last pitch and field my last ground ball and have my last and having my last huddle
I feel for Prince Fielder he was my favorite to bad he never won a ring he should make a come back he only 36
If your a rangers fan the prince fielder one breaks my heart everytime
