Today was a FULL “Wash Day”. It took me 6-1/2 hrs. I hurried the styling and gave myself 12 twists. Immediately made myself a Margarita and sat on the patio to recover. When I saw how much hair she has to deal with…..I nearly poured myself another margarita in her honor. She has my complete admiration. ❤️
That “doing my hair all week” hit me in my soul. Yes! You have been and so many of us have had weeks like this or prolonged the time between essential maintenance because we didn’t have the time to start AND finish. Your hair is beautiful and I feel your pain!

Enjoy it while it’s short. Washing and styling was heaven when I did the big chop. Now that’s its longer it tangles and breaks so bad. Washing, detangling and styling are whole events now.

Your hair looks beautiful! Maybe I'm doing something wrong cause after 2 days my hair dries out with mousse. I use leave in, oil on the ends and then mousse. I would think water and mousse would only dry out too quick for me. :(
I just started my natural hair journey about 2 years ago when I completely cut off my relaxed hair and my natural hair is just about a quater of yours but i'm so fed up with how I have to takecare of it myself cos the salon people always handled it so roughly even after I beg them to be careful. I didn't quickly realise the damage they had been doing to my hair cos of their handling until I lost my hair volume, now I know for sure if you want long hair you'd have to handle things yourself mostimes or by someone like maybe a family member or friends who care. I salute everyone that has this length of natural hair and hasn't given up😂. I wanna be like you , I hope I can be like you cos i'm already getting tired and trying very hard to go on with it. To get to your length would probably take me 8 years

Honey this is the reason why I chop mine off everytime I get to bra strap length. I do not have the time, patience and arm strength. 😂

She probably has low porosity. My high porosity hair would definitely dry out. I’m like you, water, leavin, butter, oil, mousse.
