I cant wait to try this hat! I have been looking everywhere for the stitch marker you used and I cant find it anywhere.. where can I find them? are they hairties or something? I love those!
Poor/ non-existent instructions for tightening cast on edges of hat. Left with a loopy mess. Every single step of this process should be shown in the video.
I don’t understand the difficulty some are expressing about the video. There’s this thing called pause. You can do it between the steps as you apply them. As for how tight to do it, I always go a bit tighter with my cast on so that it’s not so loose. I learned this through trial and error. You can use any kind of yarn you want. The chunkier, the better. If it’s not that thick, try doubling it up. I use bernat blanket yarns and do double strands. Sometimes I even do double rows for less gaps.
FYI .. people are trying to LEARN from your videos. It would help if you would NOT speed up the video at the beginning when you combine the knit & purl stitch, so that beginners can keep up.
Absolutely AWFUL Video. Like Michael PHelps doing 10 laps around the pool and then saying, "now you do it, it's easy and so fun -- with this zippy music in the background. Ridiculous!
Why does KB have such awful videos. People want to learn and it seems like every video is done by a hyper person. And I agree that the music is ridiculous and so loud. Can you slow down on the tutorials please?
@Carmen A - In the lower right hand corner of the screen there is a gear icon. Click on that and you can reduce the play back speed. I've found it very helpful with all of the handmade videos.
Thats beautiful 😍
love it!! Saw this at CHA 2016 and decided to give it a try!!
what is CHA2016
Please show what you mean about the cast on stitches. The hat is so nice and I want to finish it.

I used yarn from another project and tied it. You don't have to use their version of a stitch marker. I have also used rubber bands as markers.

I found my corners at michaels but you might check amazon if you cant find them locally?

@knittingboard what brand of yarn do you use
Mine keeps ending up short as all get out! 🤨
I’m having the same issue. The pattern as shown in the video seems like it’s for a child-sized hat. It certainly didn’t fit over my head.
Same here, I've wasted so much time and yarn now trying to get a decent adult hat. I just did it again! 🤬
I had the same issue, almost had to repeat it all again to get it anywhere near the size for an adult head!

So as long as you do 14 total rows, you can cast off?
Please show how the cast loops are tightened. Not a bad video until then but then didn't show how to do the very last step.
I give up on trying to make a Zippy loom hat. No matter what it always ends up way too small. Extremely frustrating 😤
Can u do this on a long loom??
where do u get the corners from, I checked at hobby lobby, Michaels,
If you have a Joann's near you, they have the zippy corners... That's the only place I have found the corners.
+Anna1507 Shaw or you can buy it online if it is none near you.
Thank u
I used a hairtie
@@JenniferJayde462 a hair tie? How
I tried #6 bulky and it knits up way too loose. Is there a zippy loom with pegs half that size?
What yarn did you use? With #6 yarns there is larger variations. The yarn used in this hat is Red Heart Grande.
knittingboard Oh, NOW you answer a question!
And by the way, the type of yarn should’ve been mentioned at the start.
The video should also tell you what kind of yarn to get. I'm now working with the WRONG kind of yarn.
Pinky Green the yarn is red heart grande super bulky 6
BTW, to NEWBIES, do NOT wrap the yarn tight, otherwise you'l have to start over.
hola me podrias decir las medidas de tu telar pues me gustaría hacerlo, cuanto mide la separacion de postes etc porfa ;)
Starting over again for the 4th time.
Pinky Green for real! My first attempt looked terrible
Can you just knit with out purling
The bottom of it will curl, which can be used as a rolled brim
