Oh crap, I played this homebrew (or a close twin to this) on a gameboy advance flashcart waaaay back in the day. I loved it back then, and could never ever find it when I looked more recently. I'm so happy to have found it lol!
Yet another video that makes me seriously need a Vectrex in my life. Getting one posted from the US to the UK on top of the cost of one itself makes it bloody expensive though and I still have a list of megadrive and snes games to obtain and enjoy. One day vectrex... one day
I was hoping you mentioned that this a port of thrust which was originally released on the commodore 64 in the 80's. The vectrex version even has a picture of a c64 as an overlay on the controller on the box art.
Pretty crazy that the game started out as a BBC Micro game but the C64 version made it to market sooner despite starting development quite a bit later.
where's the insane challenge? it looks relatively quite easy... but what did i expect from a group of people that play games made for children on a daily basis?
Perso Na To dissuade people from using video footage without crediting the source. If they do, at the very least, he's getting advertisement with it there
I remember playing this on the BBC Micro, great game but certainly known for being extremely challenging!
LOVE the new Camera Mark, it made you and the Vectrex look even more Lando.
YES
I have wanted to see you review trust for over a year! OMG and in the Vectrex!! Even better!
I really like the lighting in this ep.
I didn't even know that this existed on Vectrex. I played a lot of the Acorn Electron and BBC Micro versions back in the 80's, its a classic game.
This reminds me of Solar Jetman on the NES.
riskvideos I have a review of Solar Jetman on my channel if your interested in checking it out.
This was originally a BBC Micro game.
Indeed it was. A lot of people make the assumption that it was originally on the C64, however, it was originally coded by Jeremy Smith on the Beeb.

Wow! Loved the C64 original!
Technically it was first coded on the BBC Micro by Jeremy Smith
Looks cool. actually reminds me a bit of Solar Jetman on the NES.
Other way round as Thrust came out 4 years before Solar Jetman :-)
It's like Solar Jetman. Love it!!!!
One of the most underrated NES gems. Love it too! :)
The original Thrust came out before Solar Jetman so really its the other way round :-)
I like these types of games.
Finally a Vectrex video :)
This game looks and plays similar to Gravity Crash on the PS3, an excellent, excellent game with a great soundtrack. Impressive.
this game looks awesome!! even better for being on the Vectrex
Should try this game again with the 100 Hz Bios, the VStereo and Buzz-Off mods, and a game-specific UV overlay.
Could Mark possibly be hinting at a review of the Vectrex VR headset?
Jowurel Does that actually exist? Because I hope it does.

kthanxie I think I'm in love.

One day vectrex... one day
Did you ever find a Vectrex? Why post from USA as they were sold in the UK as well originally.
The Vectrex is pleased by your spreading of The Word. Many pure souls have found their way to salvation and enlightenment due to your videos.

Edit: I got the year wrong, the C64 Thrust game it's from 1986, ok
I just played this on the ParaJVE emulator and wow this game is way hard! Awesome though.
If only we had Truxton on the Vectrex! And wood grain...
Truxtrex?
I just found out that the creator of this game released the source code! Sweet!
TroutButter Beat me to it! #Truxtrex4Lyfe
The song reminds me of the C64
Are the different colored pins associated with different systems?
What's the song at the very beginning?
Nice! Thrust Platinum is available as a homebrew for the Atari 2600, on atariage.com. But it won't work on an Atari 7800.
Looks like a fun game to me.
Played this on amatrad
Would you please review Monday? I've never had a nice experience with it and am wondering if it's just me.
I had a Vectrex but I sold it in 95, totally regret that now.
solar jetman?
A remake of a classic computer game that has been remade many a time. Also the name of a Transformer.
Ohhhh... I loved this on C64. And bought a Vectrex last week. Guess what I'm gonna do?
0:37 Why is a C64 being used as a Vectrex controller?
This game reminds me of The Prize on the Amstrad, which is no bad thing :) .
This game (Thrust) was out officially on the Amstrad back in the day.
I'll show you Thrust... With my pelvis. Just kidding.
The Omnilution 2.0 Pelvic... Thrust!
CaptainLumpyDog Stomp on your right foot, DON'T FORGET IT!
Now it's time to bring it around town....bring it aroooound tooown.
Vectrex Solar Jetman! :D
I used to have one of these but gave it away years ago
yet another video where I pine for a Vectrex
Mark promised to read the story from the box... Still waiting. :(
You know a game is great when it forces you to "read the back of the box", to find out why something is bad.
It looks better than Gravitar, as far as being possible to play and beat. Gravitar is REALLY hard.
Death by Vectrex......yes were do i sign up?
So it's basically Solar Jetman.
No, the other way round :-)
woooowww it´s amazing, great game, excellent
keep it up!!!!!!!!!
Darn. I read it as "I Hurst"
"I Hurst"? The hell is that?
Was great on BBC micro
no overlay?
hey guys
nwowolfpacfan415 wolf pack sting ftw
Killahfam69 Hiya!
Is it just me, or is the audio quality worse than usual in this episode?
where's the insane challenge? it looks relatively quite easy... but what did i expect from a group of people that play games made for children on a daily basis?
Franziskaner . . . mmmmmmmm.
Yikes. Why the website on the video now? Looks ugly as heck.
I've got no issues with it. Besides, now maybe WatchMojo will think twice before using Mark's stuff for some of their Top 10's!

Could be done with a translucent watermark instead of that huge eye sore.
hey guys
