I have the SUNWAYFOTO SM-86 Saddle Mount and it’s almost twice the price except it didn’t come with an Arca Plate. It’s very similar in design so this Saddle Mount appears to be an excellent value at its current price. Sometimes you have to try out lesser known brands to get a lot more for your money, but only after they been vetted by someone who knows what they are talking about. Thanks for the great tips!
It's nice looking and the spring loaded handle is a nice feature, but if it doesn't clamp the rifle securely, it's a rifle rest. For the price it can be upgraded with a different type of side clamp material to secure a firearm.
Do you plan on doing a review on the Fatboy and the leveling head anytime soon? I’ve been on the fence about the fatboy or the two vets (leaning fatboy) but definitely going level head either way. Thanks for the great vids.
@@OwnTheHunt can’t wait. I’m definitely favoring that direction. Off subject but has y’all’s season started yet? Ours in in all year long here in VA but we usually don’t hunt them much during deer season. Will start hitting it hard in the next couple of weeks.
@@jimmyg923 our season started today!!! We’ve been hard at it and called in a triple we ha e footage of. Killed one, wounded one hard but it got away and missed the third entirely.
@@OwnTheHunt - agreed. I'm wanting to use it with a couple of Ruger Mark IV's, they are single stack. I'll cut and put some hard form rubber in the jaws of the rest to grip the pistol.
Any advice to making the legs quiter when u are sliding them out? I got graphite tripods and when i twist that knob boy they hit bottom hard. So much that my hunting buddy will be like damn those are loud. Loud yes cheap no.
@@OwnTheHunt well thanks anyway figured if there was a way u would know about it. Wish i would of saw that pull bar on those tripods to lock your gun before i bought the ones i have. They just have a small knob to lock or unlock my ball swivel. I might have to MacGyver it though so i have a better setup for gloves now that its kinda cold again
@@OwnTheHunt since winter time is upon us i have to say u should purchase a heated vest to use while hunting or just outside when cold. I got one then bought 5 more for my people once i realized how amazing it is to have a positive heat source in below freezing temps. Also got chargeable handwarmers that are also something i wont go without ever again.
@@OwnTheHunt i got one off amazon that was Glaiss vest and Vofuiti were the 2 kinds of vest i bought i use mine constantly. Dont think the name matters much theres so many different at different price ranges but its all about the battery packs u have for it. I got like a 24000 mah batt pack basically the sizeof my phone but thicker and it lasts a good 6 hrs the smaller ones depending on the temp setting can go dead in 2 hrs. I got the vest so i can put a flannel overit and in doing so traps all the heat on u just keep it tight. But alsoorder a sizelarger i got an xl and its a bit tight in spots so if u normally use a xl get a 2xl. Those handwarmers also could double as a batt pack if in a bind but theres a bunch of brands for them as well.
Great review! Several things here I would not have thought of. Appreciate having the bog as a comparison. Great video!!
Thank you!!!

Thanks so much for watching and for your feedback!
This video is great. I just ordered the Manbily saddle and I'm going to use it. I'm very excited!
Was it good?

I couldn’t agree more. It needs improvement before I would trust my rifle for carrying it while clamped.

I sure do, but I can tell you right now the fat boy puts any of the two vet tripods to shame

@@OwnTheHunt yessir!!
Would that clamp something as narrow as a pistol?
@@bltefft would depend on the pistol width. A bigger double stack it probably could but no single stack will fit it.

Unfortunately that is air being forced out of the legs as you slide them and there really isn’t much of anything you can do about it.
