- Eh, that was pretty spontaneous so i didn't show my build properly (you can still see it on 0:05)

having the patience to make this arena is in and of itself super impressive, i didn't even bother fighting him on my getfixedboi playthrough
Bro, so thankful.... Your arena is a smart one. I am still figuring though battling duke in space. But deym, you manage to pull it off since I was thinking the same making it. Though, yours is ahead of time.
If u equip the quad jump balloons with the winged slime the fight becomes way too easy even pre mech boss. I used Spirit Flame and i got razorblade and did all 3 mech bosses at once. It wastes those valuable lantern nights but sometimes its fun to just go crazy
lantern night's aren't that valuable, pretty sure you can max out luck by placing a gnome, then placing a biome torch, then kill guide and throw a platinum into shimmer
You can't not fight all three mech bosses at once in get fixed boi tho
Was this in legendary mode? Also what armor did you use?

@@NotABirdd You cannot summon less than three, but it's very easy to despawn the Prime and the Twins and fight only the Destroyer.
This video got into my recommendation as I'm learning Duke lmao
I thought that I need at least Jetpack to provide a better vertical movement, but it seems that Gellatinous Pillon works even better. And also, I love how you use Drippler Crippler to squeeze more damage during his tornado summoning.
I used crystal assassin armor for movement. I didn’t have much experience fighting duke beforehand so it was fun to learn the fight
Queen Slime mount is really good lul
They mustve changed how he moves in the third phase cuz hes just going up and down and sniping me instantly
@@Deadmau5Awesome that's not it, you are probably just missing his tp timings or his dash count
His pattern is very consistent and has been it for the whole his existence
1 dash > tp to the opposite side of the player > 2 dashes > tp > 3 dashes > tp > 1 dash and repeat
He teleports exactly to the right or left of the player, no matter the height he was before the teleport, but the teleport takes approximately half a second, so, if you are falling/jumping during it, he appears higher/lower than you
Replace shield with brain of confusion and swap harpy wings for putrid scent
Yeye, same goes to harpy wings and terraspark boots, I'm just too lazy to change loadouts specifically to some bosses so some of them don't make any sense

ah yes my favorite, fellow gelatinous pillion user! Jeez when I did legendary duke with only flails it was hell because I had no consistent strategy for third phase (but I could get to third phase really easily if I was focused) until I found a video of a specific way that consistently dodged it for me lol
Also I'm just asking, do you think chain guilottines or shadowflame knives are better?
They have comparable dps, but chain guillotines have limited range, so i prefer knives
@@DraKni7734 ah ok, I didn't know the dps of shadowflame knives, but yeah knives have better range. Range is a game changer because it separates risk from safety against duke. Thanks

I can finally consistently get to the last phase. Now, i just have to not lose count of the dashes... I made my arena just under the ocean to try and mitigate some of the lower gravity, and made it longer horizontally so that i can drop nados in one part of the arena and go to the other end without them reaching. Ranger using onyx blaster with ichor bullets, adamantine armor because i can't get ice golems to spawn, nimbus rod for bubbles because im too lazy to lava fish, unicorn for movement across the arena in phase 1 and 2, pillion for phase 3.
If anyone else tries this, don't transition from phase 2 to 3 right after he spawns a nado, or you'll have to try to deal with sharks and teleporting fishron for the start. The transition is around 20k health
I put in practice this way but with the blizzard in a bottle because that helps very much, specially in the 3rd phase
The craziest part of this video is how many walls you placed in that box arena. Unless you used TEdit, that looks like it would've been an absolute bore.
Not really, it only took me 40 minutes to place them and i was just watching YT on my phone while doing it

Disregarding all the weapons and equipments (aside from movements), I feel like it's a matter of keeping the tornadoes low (1st phase) and high (phase 2) enough so you can focus at dodging. Also I just realized from watching that Fishron always have fixed attack patterns, lol

Every guide tell or show us to bait the Sharknado and Cthulhunado to the bottom edge of the arena.
But sometimes it's a bit tricky coz I'm moving mad and the Duke just like spamming it.
And here you are showing me just put that tornado above and worries no more.
@@nether_prince3021 ye, I don't really like baiting the sharknado to the bottom of the arena for 2 reasons: it acts as a random high wall that limits my movement by cutting down half of the arena, and sharks from it will be targeting you from below, so you also need to predict where they fall, that's too much to worry about for 1 attack lol

Do the wings, Shield of Cthulhu or terraspark boots do anything to affect the mount? Because if not you could’ve had three extra slots for better accessories!

Cuz I’m doing a mage playthru this video kinda helped me with what the fight was going to look like, as I’m doing pre mech fishron for the razor blade typhoon

Is running straight a good way to avoid duke? Since i have a straight arena for whole map so idk if u should build something like urs or use straight one
Nah, for 2 reasons:
1. He enrages outside of the ocean
2. After at most 3 dashes he'll line up with your platform, so he'll collide with you on his last 1-2 dashes
If you are going to run back and forth, it's not a good strat too because of the sharkonados

Night's edge is pretty good against the destroyer part of mechdusa, but you have better weapons for everything else at this point

At one time i play this seed with my friend
Im a mage using spectre staff

And the spectre did absolutely no damage
So i use rainbow staff instead and its surprisingly good 😂
Well since you are in getfixedboi it's no longer pre-mechs but pre-mechdusa
Killing any part of mechdusa still gives you a bag for each mech boss separately, so i would consider this a pre-mech kill since i didn't kill any mechs

@@Wakwaw796 more knifes = better chance of them destroying bubbles = more dps from shadowflame knifes, so, even though it's an overkill, i still prefer the fight to be shorter so it's less likely for me to die

How did you stop mob spawns I’m trying to make an arena like this with pearlstone brick walls but mobs keep spawning
You need to cover the whole arena with walls, extend it 50-60 blocks up from the top platform. Double check for gaps in your walls. Hit the mob cap before starting the fight, and preferably choose crimson side of the world because worms from the corruption are annoying
It also might've been fixed in 1.4.4
