The Calamity Mod is a large content mod for Terraria which adds many hours of endgame content and dozens of enemies and bosses dispersed throughout the vanilla game's progression. The Calamity Mod also features several harder difficulty modes, such as Death mode and revengeance mode five new biomes and new structures, a new class, a new leveling mechanic, more than thirty new songs, over fifty recipes for previously uncraftable vanilla items and other assorted changes to vanilla gameplay.

Its kinda crazy how iconic the Calamity Murasama has become. I don’t doubt there’s plenty of people who know the weapon only from Calamity and don’t even know it’s a Metal Gear reference.

Wonder if the murasama augments will have the same premise as the new exo suits, switching out “augments” for others to suit certain playstyles
yes augments will function fairly similiar to the arsenal/exo suits - augments have 2 slots, which can either be mixed, or stacked together (lv. 2) for stronger effects. full video explains all of it

Funfact: if you name your character Samuel Rodrigues or Jetstream Sam you can obtain the murasama early since the murasama is well a reference to jetstream sam from mgrr

I kinda wish they had gone with calamity overhaul, that one feels really nice because it feels like it goes on the full journey with you and really grows along side you
If you name your character “Jetstream Sam” you will be able to get it and use it right at the start. I think you’ll need to be in revengeance mode though
they removed this feature, it no longer works

I started pixel art few weeks ago and i already did some stuff im very proud of.
Now i see every game in another perspective and this art is sooooo good. I realy hope one day i can make animations like this beautiful games like terraria, stardew valley and much much more :)

So you get a weapon that can be used all throughout endgame??? Seems like a great idea and definitely wont ruin progression even more than the devs already did
God i wish some mod made a strong sword that has like a big charging hold attack for one single insane damage hit instead of just infinite melee speed, would be cool.
Calamity looks cool ngl
if you have terraria on pc, you can play it its a free mod, and very simple to install just get tmodloader off terrira, and then you can go to workshop from terriras main menu, go to download mod, then look up calamity from there... can also add other mods as well, like fargo's soul mod with calamity patch.... i would also get stars above as well, as they all work really well together, but stars above is a bit animeish, so if that's not your jam thats no sweat..
BUT the rework for murasama still hasn't happened yet. its likely coming with calamity's next update. witch should be out in a couple of months.

I wished they would've made an attack where you put the sword in sheath and then when you wish to attack again, you shoot the sword, dealing massive damage.
