I feel you. Listening to Love Me Again for the first time… I was trembling. The anticipation was too much. I was so thankful the song was beautiful and Tae has such great control over his vocals in the song. I was in tears towards the end of the song. He was fire … Rainy Days was soothing with white noise and it felt dreamy, trippy and we were listening to almost the same lyrics and tone again and again UNTIL he sang rapped almost right beside our ears with that low deep voice… that got my attention immediately. Based on the first two releases and the track list, with Tae’s request that we should listen to the album in the order laid out, I’m wondering if Tae is conveying all the stages of a break up, you know like first moment when you can’t function or are reliving the same day, then blue = sadness, depression (laid out by Tae in Blue & Grey), then wanting the person back and can’t stop thinking about them (Love Me Again). Finally, either, moving on to remember the good times hence getting closure OR getting back together again (with the final two tracks). Love the reaction! Also, the puppy is actually Tae's dog Yeontan! There is a theory that the reason that the video has a lot of blues and yellows as the focal colors with the rest being dark is that those are the main colors that dogs see and he was trying to simulate the vision of his dog! Lets go deeper! There is never a "right" or "perfect" interpretation of art. There is no answer. Good art is the starting point of a discussion, not the end. Art is also YOUR mirror. And I believe that is one of the messages in these two songs. I believe these two songs are closely related, that the whole album has a theme, but what is it? I see some interesting interpretations and heated comments here, if the person he sings to is Army or a private love, but that is honestly irrelevant. We may speculate but unless Taehyung tells us (and he will probably not) we will never know, because he is an artist and as such the art is an entity of its own to him. The object of longing is not going to be obvious. These songs tell us that the album will give us more of Taes artistry than we have seen before. It's possible that the lockdown inspired the aesthetics here. The isolation in the grotto and in the tower, with the tv, phone and computer as the only means of communicating with others seem to support it. We can identify with it. The "random" stuff, activities to pass time, may seem depressing, but there's also a feeling of him being enough in himself, exploring his own little world, in his cacoon in Rainy Days. Yet there's that longing for someone or something in the lyrics, partly in the scenes too, and it creates an interesting conflict between the internal and external worlds. When we analyze we don't jump to fast conclusions but we try an hypothesis. What if the object of longing is Art itself? What happens when we try to see it that way? "I wish you would love me again." A writers block? What is he working on in Rainy Days, all the papers, like scattered thoughts. Or is HE the object of his longing? Missing a lost self love? "Remember how I used to make you laugh the most?" could actually refer to himself. He has become more serious, laugh less than when he was younger. But would he wait for himself to call? Maybe not, but don't dismiss this idea completely for the obvious. It could be a combination and this is where it's time to leave the pretty hopeless job to figure out the artist's intention and in stead focus on how the songs make US feel. Who or what do YOU think about, long for, miss? I feel that these songs came at a perfect time for me, after D-Day. I just want to be alone, wrapped up in a blanket, stream and read... I'm so excited for the full album = Blue, Slow Dancing and For Us and it was recommended to listen to them in order so yeah ~ but so far "Rainy Days" is about being stuck & isolated, away from everyone. Then "Love Me Again" is about longing for someone, missing someone. I wonder what Blue is about since it's between these two released songs.

For me, the lyrics might just be metaphor to what he is truly trying to say. If you remember In The Soop talk with JK, he once said that he was feeling happy whenever he is communicating with ARMYs but once that is done, he feels empty and longs to be with the ARMYs again. And he also mentioned that he wants to be with the ARMYs physically because from there he can feel that he is truly loved.

Based on the first two releases and the track list, with Tae’s request that we should listen to the album in the order laid out, I’m wondering if Tae is conveying all the stages of a break up, you know like first moment when you can’t function or are reliving the same day, then blue = sadness, depression (laid out by Tae in Blue & Grey), then wanting the person back and can’t stop thinking about them (Love Me Again). Finally, either, moving on to remember the good times hence getting closure OR getting back together again (with the final two tracks). Love the reaction! Also, the puppy is actually Tae's dog Yeontan! There is a theory that the reason that the video has a lot of blues and yellows as the focal colors with the rest being dark is that those are the main colors that dogs see and he was trying to simulate the vision of his dog! I don't know if that has been confirmed or not, but it is a very cute possibility! I could be totally wrong, but he did ask us to listen to the album in order. Time will tell if there is a story. Lets go deeper! There is never a "right" or "perfect" interpretation of art. There is no answer. Good art is the starting point of a discussion, not the end. Art is also YOUR mirror. And I believe that is one of the messages in these two songs.
I believe these two songs are closely related, that the whole album has a theme, but what is it?
I see some interesting interpretations and heated comments here, if the person he sings to is Army or a private love, but that is honestly irrelevant. We may speculate but unless Taehyung tells us (and he will probably not) we will never know, because he is an artist and as such the art is an entity of its own to him. The object of longing is not going to be obvious. These songs tell us that the album will give us more of Taes artistry than we have seen before.
It's possible that the lockdown inspired the aesthetics here. The isolation in the grotto and in the tower, with the tv, phone and computer as the only means of communicating with others seem to support it. We can identify with it. The "random" stuff, activities to pass time, may seem depressing, but there's also a feeling of him being enough in himself, exploring his own little world, in his cacoon in Rainy Days. Yet there's that longing for someone or something in the lyrics, partly in the scenes too, and it creates an interesting conflict between the internal and external worlds.
When we analyze we don't jump to fast conclusions but we try an hypothesis. What if the object of longing is Art itself? What happens when we try to see it that way?
"I wish you would love me again." A writers block? What is he working on in Rainy Days, all the papers, like scattered thoughts.
Or is HE the object of his longing? Missing a lost self love? "Remember how I used to make you laugh the most?" could actually refer to himself. He has become more serious, laugh less than when he was younger. But would he wait for himself to call? Maybe not, but don't dismiss this idea completely for the obvious.
It could be a combination and this is where it's time to leave the pretty hopeless job to figure out the artist's intention and in stead focus on how the songs make US feel. Who or what do YOU think about, long for, miss?
I feel that these songs came at a perfect time for me, after D-Day. I just want to be alone, wrapped up in a blanket, stream and read...

Rainy days is a beautiful song, but HYBE has done Taehyung a massive disservice dropping two beautiful songs in quick succession, they are a distraction from one another. Meaning this song is not getting the streams it deserves, I didn't even know the song had dropped, no advertisement it is coming.
I'm pretty sure this was Taehyung's choice. He also said in his last live that he would like people to stop blaming/bad-mouthing Hybe. All the members were completely involved in the promotions, we should respect his decision to do it like this 😊 And, of course, stream it as much as possible and spread the word! 💜💜💜
