cause it's a business.. :((( you think they don't have deals with labels and radios? who listens to the radio anyway???? we have phones and laptops, who tf hears radio? radio shouldn't be a part of the BB chart consideration yet there it is, like it's 1990..................................

also Niki Minaj said that if it was only abt paying radio (payola) she'd do just that but she says it's not enough paying them: she needs to build a relationship with radios, that's why she'll never break through, cause she won't do that

This was such a mature and organized video on this subject. As a fan, I thank you for enlightening not only fans who did not know about the radio/playlisting situation but for all fans of music to ensure they know that its the artist that needs to be looked after in these situations.
We are fans, we are going to support the artists who put it in work into music that has healed us or brought us joy. No one can take that away from us. Fans share their love for the music with people so that they can find the same joy. Without ARMY WORK I would have never found BTS because they were never represented enough even though they were huge globally. I dont know where I would be without them and so I m going to pay them back for that as much as I can and we keep them visible for the people who need them who havent found them just yet. Keep them around for as long as they want to be around, so they can make the music they want to make and reach the people they need to.

Rosan, thank you for your video. Sorry, in advance, for the length of this response. I had to share these things. After doing a little research into Penske a few weeks ago…A few other aspects I would LOVE to see us tackle are: How BTS has helped to uncover the intention of certain entities (PMC) to monopolize all machinations of the music biz, silence the fans, and have untouchable control over artists + even the labels in the industry.
Most don’t realize that PMC has been scooping up media/music industry/publishing/production companies + taking over or completely eliminating them since the early 2010’s in order to monopolize this industry. Luminate is not only owned by PMC and Eldridge Industries (I believe Eldridge Industries was taken over by Penske in 2021), but as your video noted, they were formally known as Nielsen, the most reputable and dominant data collection company for the entertainment industry for decades… and THE competitor to beat. PMC acquired and eliminated Nielsen, absorbing the competition and all its data collection technology, making Luminate the dominant data collector. So convenient to have in-house data collection to be manipulated how they want with no accountability.
Rolling Stone is another example. In December 2017, Penske Media acquired a majority stake of Rolling Stone magazine from Wenner Media.
The Rolling Stone Top 100 chart tracked the most popular songs of the week in the United States. (What people were really listening to) similar to BB. However, the RS chart did not include passive listening like terrestrial radio or digital radio (No Payola). The RS 100 chart was updated daily (built-in accountability), and each week Rolling Stone finalized and published an official version of the chart, covering the seven-day period ending with the previous Thursday. It was becoming a more reliable source than BB’s payola charts…until…In September of 2020, Penske brought Billboard into the fold and within 1 year, claiming that to have both charts was “internally duplicative and superfluous”, gave the RS Top 100 Chart the axe and began to throw all of its support behind BB’s Payola Charts. The final RS Top 100 chart was published 10/21/21, 2 wks after BTS + Coldplay’s ‘My Universe’ went #1 and dethroned Drake.
Which brings me to my last example of PMC’s monopoly. Penske acquired Dick Clark Productions at the beginning of 2023. DCP is the production company for the Golden Globes, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, the American Music Awards and more. This year, the AMA’s were bumped from their November date because the BBMA’s wanted the date. This move is suspect for many reasons. BB (PMC) is campaigning to
to control the industry/limit the public’s voice. AMA’s are the only all fan-voted major MUSIC awards show in the US. It’s also the show where BTS won Artist of the Year 2021 (more than deserved). It was announced that the AMA’s would sit out 2023. If your goal is to silence the fans and solidify a narrative that supports the corrupt system you are trying to codify, this is how you do it. ONLY THE ARTISTS WHO’S LABELS HAVE BOUGHT INTO THE GAME will be nominated or win awards this year. This is a statement. BB seems to be drawing a line in the sand with the full support/backing of PMC.
They have set it up so the industry can continue payola unchecked and are trying to do even more to silence the consumer or competitors. They have created a monopoly. They have become the main conduit through which the labels, radio, streaming services, data collection companies and charting companies (Billboard) are able to perpetuate a corrupt system with the placement on Billboard charts as the highest goal. The monopoly Penske has created with buying up Rolling Stone, dcp (AMA’s, New Year’s Rockin Eve, Golden Globes + BBMA’s) Vanity Fair, Billboard, the Hollywood Reporter and more, has made them the gatekeeper and enabler of the road to who rises or falls in this industry. Billboard charts matter because the entire industry holds these charts ridiculously sacred to the point where artists are nominated for awards according to how well they’ve performed on billboard charts.
Billboard (PMC) is also monopolizing the entire music biz globally with this pay-to-play system. Quite a few K-Pop labels have purchased play-listing, radio play (Fifty-Fifty is now on the charts and even getting more radio spins than Jimin’s #1 Like Crazy) and media-play propaganda.
Because the labels are paying for the spins, streams, views, subscribers, engagements that will get them higher placement on BB charts, a group like BTS and ARMY completely disrupts the entire system and they are absolutely furious about this fact. We get that. But I believe if enough of us not only make a stink about the attack on Jimin/BTS, but begin to reveal more and more of the ways in which Billboard’s parent company (PMC) has violated antitrust laws/Acts, (see links/excerpts below), although we might find a greater challenge on our hands, we may just help to finally create a more authentic and organic music industry where artists and consumers voices are heard and true artistry can be cultivated and appreciated as intended. Where no one company is able to use our resources (money, time, energy, etc) to fill up their pockets illegally or create new levels of monopolistic corruption.
    www.ftc.gov/advice-guidance/competition-guidance/guide-antitrust-laws/antitrust-laws
Excerpts of the Sherman, FTC Act, and Clayton Acts:
    Sherman Act:
On the other hand, certain acts are considered so harmful to competition that they are almost always illegal. These include plain arrangements among competing individuals or businesses to fix prices, divide markets, or rig bids. These acts are "per se" violations of the Sherman Act; in other words, no defense or justification is allowed.
    FTC Act:
The Federal Trade Commission Act bans "unfair methods of competition" and "unfair or deceptive acts or practices." The Supreme Court has said that all violations of the Sherman Act also violate the FTC Act. Thus, although the FTC does not technically enforce the Sherman Act, it can bring cases under the FTC Act against the same kinds of activities that violate the Sherman Act. The FTC Act also reaches other practices that harm competition, but that may not fit neatly into categories of conduct formally prohibited by the Sherman Act. Only the FTC brings cases under the FTC Act.
    Clayton Act:
The Clayton Act addresses specific practices that the Sherman Act does not clearly prohibit, such as mergers and interlocking directorates (that is, the same person making business decisions for competing companies). Section 7 of the Clayton Act prohibits mergers and acquisitions where the effect "may be substantially to lessen competition, or to tend to create a monopoly." As amended by the Robinson-Patman Act of 1936, the Clayton Act also bans certain discriminatory prices, services, and allowances in dealings between merchants. The Clayton Act was amended again in 1976 by the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act to require companies planning large mergers or acquisitions to notify the government of their plans in advance. The Clayton Act also authorizes private parties to sue for triple damages when they have been harmed by conduct that violates either the Sherman or Clayton Act and to obtain a court order prohibiting the anticompetitive practice in the future.

Big corporations, fans of other artists, kpoppies, chart accounts and whatnot bully us every single day with the wildest of accusations for getting bts records that they rightfully deserve. being an army, especially one on twt, is not for the weak, and I'm glad all of us have collectively agreed on this bc it makes us stronger and more resistant. its frustrating but it always had been. don't worry guys we'll find a way. and if we don't, just like what namjoon said, let's redraw the whole entire map.

Thank you for this Rosan, very clearly explained. What people should realise is that the 'industry' is a beast that will ONLY feed it's own, and that music is not good music if you really looked at it. The reason BTS has had such success is because they've gone against the usual 'rot' that is put out. Now don't get me wrong, it's not all bad, however BTS music is about love and healing, and you'll find the industry's 'controlled' music isn't. So BTS will never be accepted for they stand for and THAT is why they have such an impact. Most new listeners/reactors cannot understand WHY BTS has such an effect on them. Oh, if only people REALLY knew what is behind all this then they wouldn't be surprised why BTS is always blocked. Not just about payment, that is one side of it. I think Army's just have to get together and buy their own radio, set up their own award shows etc and then we as true fans can love our boys and show them what they mean to us without having to resort to corrupt organisations. BTS as we always say, DON'T need them, but we want to reward their hard work. AND THEY SHOULD GET THEIR RECOGNITION, AS THAT'S ONLY RIGHT. But don't count on it! NO-ONE will ever achieve what BTS has because LOVE is at the root of it all, and LOVE always wins, grows and heals. I could go on, but at least I think fans are now waking up to what really goes on in this world (not just in music either). Hard work and goodness is not always rewarded by these organisations (didn't Suga say this once?) but ARMY's will show them different because we won't stoop to their corrupt tactics. Right, nuff said.

I just watched Yoongis live and it's so fascinating; Over 93 million Army fans dropped in and most of us don't understand Korean!! Isn't that insane, honestly? And that was probably not all Army, so we are really powerful, guys! If we support each other and BTS the sky is the limit. WE can make a difference! We can turn our backs on Billboard, because they don't matter. WE do. Billboard should be pushed for transparence, but lets not give them too much attention and frustration either. Jimin makes more money than Miley Cyrus because of us. We don't need Billboard. They need us.
And sure, there were many "Yoongi marry me", but Yoongi knows that it only means that fans love him so we should not fight over it.

Meaning they don't need to be transparent nor change anything since things go quite well for them by making us mad. The moment we understand the power we hold then BB will need us cause it'd mean ARMYs stopped engaging but.. Billboard has out live it’s usefulness. It not about the Artist, it about the money. Thank you for making this summary video and for speaking up about this matter. I'm sure this will inform new armys that weren't aware of this and maybe will helped to non-fans as well to understand why we act like "bots" why we are so protective over BTS.
I watched the 'Billboard Corrupt' video from planet army like 10 days ago and I'm glad you talked about the same thing here and give us encouragement as well. 💜
I know all of this is upsetting and trust me, I'm SO frustrated too. The fact Radio payola now weights more than actual fans and other people paying to listen to those songs is ridiculous to me. As a 2016 Army this is really frustrating because I know BTS have gone through so much sht since then and even since their debut. The fact the way the world and other people treat BTS hasn't change is honestly upsetting. They may be the biggest group in the world right now but having a successful career doesn't mean that they just stop struggling. Now they have more hypocrite and jealous people around them, companies trying to drag them down, fake people that treat them good now that they have money but treated them like sht when they were "nobodies". And the fact Bangtan still act so kind towards these people says a lot about how big their hearts are. Many people wouldn't, many people wouldn't forgave them.
Anyway, it hurts to know that the music industry is full of corruption now and full of racist and xenophobic people. We Armys have done our best buying, supporting BTS in different platforms and asking radio station. It's NOT our fault they refuse to play their songs and it's not BTS fault either because the guys have done nothing wrong. Their artistry is amazing, their music is good, they spread positive messages and they are incredibly talented.
And what it's even more sad and frustrating is that Army always try their best to show to the world these issues but we get zero response. That sht can happen to any other artists and some of these ridiculous rules are directly affecting smaller artists too but the industry and people are ignoring us just because it's about the members of BTS. (?) This unfortunately makes me lose faith and I am disgusted by all the unprovoked hate.
When these types of sabotages happen to other white artists, the platforms, the general public and the media response is totally different.. like wtf. Look, even Post Malone's father has called out Spotify for that and the worst thing is that they haven't fixed that problem for Jimin yet. This is so wrong.
No matter how much they change their rules and try to drag them down, we will not allow that and after all, Bangtan doesn't need their help to increase streams. They are the ones that can really sold out stadiums in minutes globally. Like I said, BTS and Army only have each other and we both have gone though so many hardship but we always find the way to keep going. We will adapt and find the way to keep BTS at the top and make them succeed as always because they deserve it. I'm not saying that a number or getting certain awards will define how good they are because this is a corrupt industry but doing our best is a way of showing our support and reciprocate the love to them because BTS have already gave us so much happiness, strength and comfort with their music, messages, content and more. 💜
    Sorry for my long comment.

Thank you for doing this. For BB to drastically filter ONLY the sales of Jimin in the middle of the week is quite fascinating. They do because they can, without any explanation to us. Kinda scary. You may say BTS doesn't need BB, but BB is necessary for creating what ends up being legacy. We do want that for BTS. I read an article yesterday in the new K-Pop "edition" of BB magazine and it said the K-Pop industry can still be considered successful without placing on the US charts. I thought, don't they know that the K-Pop industry is already successful? It was so condescending, like they were trying to be reassuring about success, but no worries, we just don't want you on our BB chart. What are they going to come up with next? ARMYs are so adaptable,(one of our many super powers,) so I'm confident we can change as we need to. I appreciate your hard work in making this. Fighting!

Not to worry. We're making our own history; we're going to be the fandom that declared independence from US chart rankings and radio and corrupt industry constantly changing the rules on us. We're 90m strong, from every country in the world; we are the general public. We sell out multiple stadium shows in 2 hours, dominate movie theater show events, crash live-streams with the sheer weight of numbers, and take over entire cities for a week at a time. 💜
The US music industry is turning into a locals-only fiasco, and they know it. Forbes said it when Dynamite didn't get the grammy: "Who really needs whom?" The music industry is desperate for people to tune in to radio, desperate for album sales- and yet they're deliberately trying to sideline the biggest, most beloved group in the world and working as hard as they can to offend the biggest fandom in the world. Well, karma ain't an ARMY for nothing, eh? 😏

The music industry in the west , especially the US, cannot stand the fact that BTS are succeeding without them, and they are not making big profits off of it. BTS absolutely does not need Billboard or a Grammy to be one of the world’s most popular and successful groups, if not THE most popular and successful. And that is a huge slap in the face to the music industry, which is so corrupt, and who controls everything BUT BTS! We do not need you billboard! I hope when BTS reunites, they completely turn their backs on these shows that just exploit BTS for their own gains.

I now hear that channels that buy in to YT's advertising get their views counted correctly, but channels that don't- like HYBE and BangtanTV- get a lot of views...subtracted. I *think* it means there is a cap on total views each day, and if it looks like an MV will go over, they chop a few hundred-thousand off. (I think that's why a lot of K-pop tops out at 10-13m views in their first 24 hours. Very suspicious that all the different fandoms end up near the same total!) But I don't know that for sure, and it's almost impossible to test out.

I really appreciate the hard work you have pour in making this video. It explained clearly what is going on and why BTS vs Billboard should be the hot topics in the music scene. #1 spots is no longer organic instead geared up strategically by radios/label depending on how much they been paid. At the end of the day it’s only effect their favourite artist. The hit songs that been cultivate based on spins, radio play, playlist etc only means not much income can be made by said artist since they 1st have to pay for the song to heard by vast audience.
Personally I believe if I have been listening to it so many times in radio, I won’t be bothering buying the physical/digital album cause I hear it for free anyway. For BTS, as a fan I would always chips in and do my part to support their creative freedom & independent thoughts of all OT7 by continue to buy their albums, stream & go to their concerts. Thou the later is getting tougher these days, getting tickets is like battle field!!! Anyway, I would like to say thank you sm for this video. Thank you for this explanatory video about the issue that BTS faces with Billboard, it clarifies many things for us. In part, sales with a single consumer also increase because the shipping costs on the weverse platform are very high, sometimes they cost more than the cost of the album and once it arrives in Mexico, for example, additional taxes must be paid as well. that I am particularly buying from companies that are in charge of buying albums through weverse or buy in the USA and the shipping cost is absorbed between the buyers and this reduces the final cost for the fans... if it were not so expensive to buy directly from Korea would continue to do so by this means
But as frustrating as the whole situation is, I continue to stream and buy albums because BTS sees our support regardless of whether they make it to the Billboard charts or not, as you say, I'm interested in them being able to make the music they want and that they know that we are going to connect with them, that we listen to their message, that they know that we love them and we value their music... it would be great if this sabotage of the music industry in the USA changes but what matters most to me is that BTS knows that the Army supports them, that they feel loved and appreciated by us

It’s absolutely wild to me that songs playing on the radio because they were paid to be is somehow organic and a fan base actually buying the music is manipulation. Make it make sense. How in the hell is supporting an artist with your own dollars manipulation, and artists being played based on corporate money organic? If this were happening with some random white artist who’s fans fight hard for them, I feel like no one would question it. But because it’s a Korean group, suddenly it’s chart manipulation and has to be stopped. The xenophobia runs deep.

Oh wow. Thank you for this video. For years I bought the Billboard magazine & kept up but in the 90s the music started sounding the same and bs music, music that wasn't even good music, was being promoted. Now I just thought I was getting older and lost interest in the younger artist but realized, when I expanded my base to other countries, that the quality of the American music scene was just being manipulated by big business. Didn't know the details but you have explained them most excellently. Thank you for your hard work!

Yes! I noticed it really started around when Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Backstreet Boys, Nsync were all around. Very late 90s, early 2000s. They were all so similar in their ways. And there were more performers still added like 98 degrees and Lindsay Lohan. Wait, maybe this was a Simon Cowell thing 🤔
Also the rock and metal categories in award shows were way more pop sounding than actual rock or metal, and that's when rock started to die in the radio scene.
I did like my 90s music, but I was in jr/Sr high school then so didn't notice who really got the promotions. I had my Def lepard, Metallica, Motley Crue, TLC, Pearl Jam, Fugees etc cds. I just kept playing them till they wore out 😅

Yes, yes, YES! I really don’t know what we can do to fix this. It makes me feel defeated every time we break the system and the change the rules. It’s a never ending game of them not wanting BTS in the charts, it’s sabotage.
It’s very obvious why this is happening and I think it’s deeper than just fans having control, and maybe I’m diving more into conspiracy territory. The entertainment industry is a dark place, I can’t imagine what BTS have probably seen and lived through, artists give up everything for fame when people in power ask them for anything and bts decided not to play that game. BTS are not willing to do everything for fame, they maintain to have their views and ethics, that’s the difference.

It's about the money. It's always about the money. If the American music industry in no way shape or form can capitalize on an Artist, they're cut.
It's why they won't win a Grammy. Grammys (and Oscars) are all about the under handed "bribes". Though a few genuine artists fall through and win still. But most western artists know that they have to play the game to be successful. Eminem is one that won once, and still refuses to play the games. (Don't see him at no1 either, even though everyone knows him)
This is what you get from capitalism. A lot of corrupt and greedy corporations.

Yes Radio here in the UK to be able to be on air have to pay a structured amount every 6months to either of the two royality orangisation that then pay the artists for every radio spin their songs receive. Note it's much higher amount per spin compared to the streaming sites. The amount per spin is calculated on the size of the radio station and it's 'Listeners/auidence reach eg airways space'. This 'royality payment' has to be paid as part of the ability to hold a radio station license. Eg don't pay your 6 monthly bill you can't go on air. This is to protect artist rights to their music.

That’s why we hear on the radio dump songs over and over again. BTS are allowed to be played on the radio only in collaborations and/or singing in English. I only can imagine how Jimin was devastated after this rule affected LC. I wouldn’t call myself an army, but I am huge fan of BTS. Several years ago when I discovered them, I was wondering how come they are selling stadiums, but I never heard them on the radio? Well, now I know. Automatically have your phone connected and streaming come up in your car or have an independent radio station that does not play any type of top 100 hits. If you hear a song over and over again, change what you listen too, they stations are getting paid

I used to get so sick and tired of the same old (actually old) songs being played over and over and over again. Plus then the radio stations are these long 9 minute commercial breaks and they hardly ever tell you who sang the song so you can go look for it in the stores) It was stupid! If i listen to the radio in the car now its just because i got bored of my cd and cant change it while driving so turn the radio on for a few mins but still its songs from older groups who got huge and must still be paying payola. Radio is all but dead. I use my cd’s and youtube where i can make my own playlist which i call my random collection of awesome songs. Its everything i like as i come across new stuff i add it. Very sad that artists are brainwashed to believe paying the power hungry greedy corp co is the only way to make money instead of good old fashion record/album sales. We can look at this as Discrimination towards BTS but looking at the grand scheme of things, it also is a discrimination towards all artists who want to make great and meaningful music for there fans. Having songs that are sampled from 70’s, 80’s & 90’s songs/artists top the billboard charts while artist making awesome original songs/lyrics/music with real meaning are being ignored is ridiculous! Dont get me wrg, I love my old hits and love that artist in this day and age love those hits as well. I've never heard Jimin's like crazy on the radio in my country. People can argue that's because it's in korean but I've heard BP's shutdown almost everytime I turn on the radio 🤔.
The discrimination does not only happened to BTS but our local artists as well. It's always the same song, the same artists on the radio. Not to mention the ads...it's frustrating😢.
I used to drive to work and I listened to radio during that time. It's a half an hour drive but I can only get 3 songs out of the 30 minutes drive. Most of it are ads. So I guess the first rule on the radio is who pays more. I stopped listening to radio on daily basis now. It's no longer relevant.
Tq for the video and the thorough explanation. Keep up 👍☺

Seems like whatever we do to try and "support" BTS, if we have to rely on these avenues, they'll just keep suppressing our efforts. What if we did something unheard of? Like what if BTS goes on a world tour, and sells out stadiums, and they don't even need to sing and dance. They just need to be there for like 1 hour and talk to the fans in these stadiums? I'm sure fans will still buy these tickets (preferably at a cheaper pricetag), but wouldn't that send a strong message? That they can strip us of all these "achievements", but BTS will still remain on top? Picture the headlines "BTS Sells out World Tour in Stadiums without having to perform". And the videos are literally of them standing/sitting there for an hour just having a conversation with fans. and think of the merch they will sell. We can break records for most tickets sold, most merch sold, and the artist didnt' even have to perform. obviously it'll be nice if they do perform, but i'm talking about sending a message here. This way the $$ is actually going into their pockets and not some corrupt radio station anyways. Or the proceeds and go towards promotions, or perhaps creating another platform that is NOT corrupt.
BTS understands the corruption involved, and it seems to me like they're over it too. Other then Grammy's they've gotten all the awards out there already. let's give them something more crazy then a Grammy. I'm already expecting it, but when they reunite after military service, let's break records for their world tour. Let's put everyone else to shame. When they had their Vegas concerts last year, didn't locals say that they've never seen the city like that before? Everything became BTS related. Let's do that EVERYWHERE! So over the top that these corrupt execs can't even walk out of their house without seeing or hearing something BTS related. 🤣

Oh, BTS could totally do that- ARMY would be delighted to get an hour or two of the guys just being chaotic and chatty. Maybe they could do some kind of Live Run BTS episode, fans included...that'd be so much fun.
I keep wishing HYBE would cut ties with most of the viewing and streaming platforms, pull their content off (all the HYBE groups, not just BTS), and host it all on their own view and stream platform. It'd take some work to get Weverse to where it could handle so much traffic, but I think they could do it, and they could institute a proper view-count, like 'unique views' and 'repeat views'. No filtering, no fake reporting of video content, and a strict moderator system to manage the trolls and antis. I take absolute glee in thinking about the massive crash in view/stream numbers as ARMYs relocate. YT claims BTS content accounts for 20m views a day; I'm sure they'd find it was a lot more than that once we left.

@@ystrw I believe starting their own platform and pulling their content off RUclips and other streaming platforms will be the big move, but it will probably be several steps down the road. It seems to me like BTS is still trying to be the good big brother and use their fame and popularity to help other lesser known artists. They are trying to pave the way for other K-pop artists, pop or indie. So right now, they still need these outlets to help other artists be known to the general public (globally). Once a few more artists/groups become popular, i think would be a better time and more detrimental to these platforms. I do hope other artists/labels can unite with HYBE and BTS and prepare to do something like this, but seeing how till this day they don't show BTS much respect, coz of their egos, so i don't know if they'd be willing to take that step. even if they say they are, i don't even know if we can trust their word.

@@eileencritchley4630 That's a fair point... although there will still be all the fan channels, interviews, special shows and reactions, newcomers don't usually search those. Perhaps the company could leave up the one or two most-viewed videos from each era, with directions to Weverse (or wherever) for 'the rest of the album / album trilogy'. I mean, I *would* hate to see Mic Drop lose it's 1B viewing distinction... Now that's a thought, keep up every vid with 1B+?

I am always appreciative when you make videos like this. You provide important and accurate facts from real sources. Thank you. I wish this can translate into Korean with a Korean thumbnail so all those ignorant Korean medias and people can see the real picture how hard Armys and BTS work and how the American music industries work.
The music industries in Korea and in the US work the same ways that if you don't go through their regular systems (meaning don't pay them and didn't use their power), artists don't get anywhere. BTS is the first artist who became sucessful without this norm and all music industries (US and Korea both) got surprised and try to reject them as much as possible. A double whammy for BTS and Army.

Thank you for explaining again the disparity that our boys are getting. They are much more blatant with their xenophobia. I haven't seen Suga's listed on the Billboard. Even more frustrating are these new reactors for clicks that doesn't do their due diligence in BTS music and listening to one documentary like it's some kind of tick about BTS. They keep screwing up their numbers without adhering to 24 hrs rule to watch their new videos! Perhaps, if you have the time, to do an update about the intro of the boys, they are now men! Keep up the great work! Borahae!

Thank you. I was just looking at the numbers on the videos I get that Amygdala is not rising fast due to the warning on it but the fact that Haegeum is not rising is perplexing. I checked out other kpop groups and the #s are going when then dont have the fan base Suga has (and I'm not referring to Army necessarily because a lot of solos don't really support other members so that would cut it) which probably amount to about the same as a new group. So how are the #s so low? Like crazy haven't reached 100 views yet like WTF!!! Someone elses video did though and at 1st I brushed it off as we have alot of MVs and content right now but come on its pretty concerning

The thing that sucks is that they have shown that they don't care about us, they will be blatant about their dishonesty and manipulation with no explanation and expect that it won't matter because BTS are korean and so they stir the pot of discrediting both them and army as outsiders/bots/crazy fandom so that our voice won't matter to who they consider as the GP (passive listeners who won't challenge their ecosystem, american industry insiders.). if they can just not count sales on a whim or have shady criteria (which they conveniently mostly only started changing in response to fans purchasing music and messing up their cushy system), then there isn't much we can do except to keep buying and being loyal music consumers to show in the actual data how skewed their chart is. even if bts never chart high again (doubtful), at least our purchases will show how messed up it is that the charts are valuing passive listening and criteria that don't benefit musicians over actual money, loyalty and support for the people who make music. Other musicians only dream of a fanbase like ours, both for money and for their music to be actually appreciated and heard. So we can still make history with our support even if we only see the benefit of it years down the line when the rules start negatively impacting some white artist, 'the gp' start feeling like they have to pay attention, and then they can see all of ARMY's data as more evidence for how corrupt billboard has been for years. If we give up all together at charting/streaming/buying, it gives the system exactly what it wants and that's for us to shut up and disappear into some niche kpop market again. they want us demoralized so that we stop supporting artists we love, because they want the power to control who the public 'loves'. if a label can 'buy' radio or streaming support for a number one or top ten hit, but then bts releases in the same week and fans put them at number one instead, it pisses some powerful music industry people off and upsets their system. the only way to reveal it is to keep buying/streaming, be loud, and hope one day someone 'important' decides that it's too embarrassing to keep degrading the legitimacy of their chart for this system, or hope that they get bad publicity or labels decide it's not worth the payola anymore if they get caught out like this or beat by bts and decide to be more honest in the system. but it may never happen. either way, we want bts to be able to make the music they want to make, and for the doors to be open to them for as long as possible, and we are putting our foot in the door for them and forcing it open by buying while the corrupt industry tries to close it. If only people would listen to us and realize this is a bigger issue than just ARMY and BTS being screwed over, artists can't make money anymore, and that means they can't control their careers or music, and the decision making is in people's hands who only want power and don't care about artists. if all fanbases would recognize this and start buying music or being loud about it, it would benefit the artists they claim to love so so so much. even indy artists would be able to keep going if people just realized how far buying their albums or concert tickets goes for them instead of mindlessly relying on radio or streaming.

    • @eileencritchley4630

Yes as artists receive only pennies from streaming it's disgusting how little they get. UK radio plays far more to the artist per spin then do streaming services.
