I really really loved this MV and im glad you reacted! There's tons os theories about this mv as you can imagine, like you can hear the ticking of a clock on the song and the mv makes you feel like he's stuck in time. We sometimes feel like there's someone with him, only for the shot to widen and we see no one; he puts a plate for someone, not the dog but someone, and right before there's a pov as if someone is filming him - the lyrics read "ive been on my own maybe". The salt (?) goes back to the bag right as the lyrics say "can we go back to that moment again". Yes the alien is theorized as to the way he sees himself, and we can see the digitalized version is singing as if it was him; and all the heads of dolls and idol references, just like the graphics on his face is interpreted to how he's been on the public eye and said to be the most handsome man, that his visuals are incomparable. I'm SUPER excited about his solo project, he's always been super artistic and expressive through art - through paints, photography, music and now solo mvs and the concept of his album. he's very passionate and i hope everyone get to see him in this light as well!!
I thought the pov was the dog watching him. Hence the black and white since those colors have been said to be the colors that dogs see. It further stabilizes this idea after it pans to the dog yeontan staring at him while V sets up the table. I was really looking forward to your reaction on this one!!! It's such a different artsy video! One detail I love is that the 'V' of birds are actually flying backwards, as birds in that formation would fly towards the point of the V. It indicates that 'time' is not flowing normally here. We also see the return of 'Vante', V's artist alter ego. :) He's made some really cool works and the baguette-painted alien is very much his style!
The bird theory also caught my eye when i felt like something was wrong. I realised they were flying in the wrong direction as you mentioned and now it makes more sense on how the time there was not flowing normally.

Besides, he has used sound effects in his songs before (Scenery) to capture the mood of the song. I think them working together is what brought this masterpiece to life. Thanks for a great reaction to help us appreciate all the visual elements! V has had an "alien" theme going for years. Not that he feels alienated, but that he looks at situations from a different viewpoint that others don't expect. There are compilation videos, lol! ... Jimin's song about their friendship says, "Hello, my alien! We're each others' mystery!" .... When the group worked with artists to each come up with a cartoon character, many of them chose animals, but V came up with an alien from another planet whose head was the shape of a big red heart. So, he's different, but too nice to be scarey. And finally Jordan, thanks for reminding us that Jesus loves us! He continues to bless me in the most unexpected ways!

about the flowing camera at the first part of the video, i felt like it is mimicking what the "tannie" nest to V would see, like we all being tannie with V in the room. the rose part was my favorite that how it goes with the piano verse!!! this is really a shocking, but the most satisfying MV i'd ever see, that how the music can be visualized, how the feeling and beat can visualized. that's so cool!!! really like to hear you to break it all down and shout out like my first time watching.

Considering the heavy "French" vibes of the video, when he brought out the bread and started painting with it, I immediately thought "The French word for bread is PAIN"... Is it a coincidence, or is Taehyung painting with a piece of bread as a pun for how much the character is suffering? Also, it seems like he's painting an alien (see the antenna on its head), a nickname that's been used for him in the past which he doesn't like. But is it meant to be a self-portrait, or a female alien (it's got pretty plush lips - but then so does half of BTS), so is it a comment on this mystery woman being "alien" and failing to understand her? Or some kind of commentary on how often he was called out for being "weird" and "alien" in the past - is it still painful, or is he owning it at last? I have no idea, all I know is my brain noted both the "pain" paintbrush and the ALIEN imagery which we also see him through, and wondered how significant it was.
Wow that is seriously so smart!! but in my opinion ( I could totally be wrong here it is just my theory) the pain is not about a female but his own dog Yeontan and his failed surgeries and how it all affects Taehyung in the end. When it says "can we go back to the moment i get ya", it could be referring to the first time Tae got Yeontan even after knowing about Yeontan's health issues and how that time he was super dedicated to get Yeontan healthy again (he still is but right now he doesn't know how many more surgeries it will take for Yeontan to get better). Plus seeing how Tae said that his whole album was to debut Yeontan and it was all based over Yeontan is also another reason i think my theory could be true. Again, this is just my theory and I could totally be wrong

Because I remember hearing theories about his song Blue, when he went over to someone's house (people say it's his ex) to get back yeontan. We know he is trying to get back yeontan but we dont know who that person is who's house he went over to to get his dog. Everything is a complete mystery. Who knows, maybe all this could somehow relate to the BU Story🤷♀️ Nothing is confirmed except for Yeontan being the main lead here💜

I just saw some commentary that mentioned the video was supposed to be from Yeontan's point of view. That's an interesting concept and can definitely see it w/ camera angles etc. And when you point out the only colors a dog sees are blue/ yello and then the rest is pretty much in black and white it makes sense too. Would not be suprised if that is the case.

Considering the heavy "French" vibes of the video, when he brought out the bread and started painting with it, I immediately thought "The French word for bread is PAIN"...
Is it a coincidence, or is Taehyung painting with a piece of bread as a pun for how much the character is suffering?
Also, it seems like he's painting an alien (see the antenna on its head), a nickname that's been used for him in the past which he doesn't like. But is it meant to be a self-portrait, or a female alien (it's got pretty plush lips - but then so does half of BTS), so is it a comment on this mystery woman being "alien" and failing to understand her? Or some kind of commentary on how often he was called out for being "weird" and "alien" in the past - is it still painful, or is he owning it at last?
I have no idea, all I know is my brain noted both the "pain" paintbrush and the ALIEN imagery which we also see him through, and wondered how significant it was.
Wow that is seriously so smart!! but in my opinion ( I could totally be wrong here it is just my theory) the pain is not about a female but his own dog Yeontan and his failed surgeries and how it all affects Taehyung in the end. When it says "can we go back to the moment i get ya", it could be referring to the first time Tae got Yeontan even after knowing about Yeontan's health issues and how that time he was super dedicated to get Yeontan healthy again (he still is but right now he doesn't know how many more surgeries it will take for Yeontan to get better). Plus seeing how Tae said that his whole album was to debut Yeontan and it was all based over Yeontan is also another reason i think my theory could be true. Again, this is just my theory and I could totally be wrong

@@EllaIsDeadly honestly everything for now is just a personal theory. All we are 100% sure of is that Tae's who album relates to Yeontan. Because I remember hearing theories about his song Blue, when he went over to someone's house (people say it's his ex) to get back yeontan. We know he is trying to get back yeontan but we dont know who that person is who's house he went over to to get his dog. Everything is a complete mystery. Who knows, maybe all this could somehow relate to the BU Story🤷♀️ Nothing is confirmed except for Yeontan being the main lead here💜

I just saw some commentary that mentioned the video was supposed to be from Yeontan's point of view. That's an interesting concept and can definitely see it w/ camera angles etc. And when you point out the only colors a dog sees are blue/ yello and then the rest is pretty much in black and white it makes sense too. Would not be suprised if that is the case.

To all the artsy stuff I'd add: have you noticed the animated rose on TV seems to be the one from "The Little Prince" encapsuled in glass when the Little Prince learns that covering it like that doesn't do it good (love someone but give them freedom to grow, I'd say) and from there you can get more interpretations of why the missing person left/is no longer there maybe?
