- The Arrma Granite Voltage 2WD might be the best Beginner Rc Monster truck for a first time driver who wants to get into rc cars. Its a fairly cheap budget friendly rc truck from arrma that is 2wd brushed motor.

Dude I love the granite voltage ! With a 2s lipo and brushless system you almost forget that it's 2wd. Not to mention it's a legit 10th scale 👍🏽🤘🏾

Bought my wife one about a year and a half ago, still brushed but i went with a speedgems 16t triple modified motor, seems faster top speed and has more torque. Great little truck. Might go brushless eventually
I agree it's a cool truck, my first rc's were slower than this lol 🤣 for someone new it's fast enough lol
@@FivoNine yeah definitelt, my first rc was a team associated rc10t3 basic kit, had bushings and everything stock, over time i went to ball bearing through out then a modified speed gem motor, then 7 cell nimh, it was already as fast as most the 1/10 sold now, went brushless a few years ago and its now too fast on 2s and 3600kv lol
I paid $90 for mine on Black Friday. Good little truck.
Cool video and truck ! I've had mine a month now and it's been fun, super tough because I crashed it into everything. Running 2s lipo's with stock motor has been running great

Looks sick and seems tough. Didn’t know it existed. If I did I would’ve gotten it when i first started. Definitely worth getting if your starting the hobby!

my brother had one of these the quality of the car out of the box looks fine but after about 15-25 runs it falls apart and the shocks leak so easily and the idler gear thing in the rear the output cups mount shear off almost instantly and how the chassis comes apart to open of the rear transmission awful you have to take the whole car apart just to fix the trans personally i don’t recommend it at that point id get something like a traxxas rustler 2wd it goes faster and its way easier to work on it than something like this or if i had a bit more money id get 4wd slash or one of the brushed 3s arrma platform cars more work than its worth don’t recommend don’t buy spend your money elsewhere
Its a good starter truck, I have friends who had for a year and still run it, it just depends how hard you go at it. If your bashing hard then I agree save a little more and buy something around $300-400 range. But for someone getting into or just wants to ride around the neighborhood its a fun truck.

Yo fivo quick question, any answer would be stellar. My trx4 winch seems to have maybe 5 or 6 feet of reliable range, is yours the same? If I stand at the end of my fully extended winch line it cuts in and out (losing reception) and if I step a couple feet further back it doesn’t work at all… even when pointing directly at it with nothing in the way, antenna as high as possible 🧐
I honestly haven't tried that far out yet, I will see if mine does the same thing 🙂

Yes I still have it and my kids been running it most of the time, they love it. So far no issues but thats because they drive it carefully

@@FivoNine I’m thinking of getting one for my son and didn’t want to spend to much incase he wasn’t into it. The trx4 sport seems like a reliable choice. But that’s probably the most I would want to spend. Maybe there are some even more budget good choices
