Viking songs have to be either with a dark and rough instrumental part or with a deep and aggressive voice. So i personally think that: Russia, Brasil, Austria and Italia are the best ones

Have you ever even heard an actually song in Old Norse?… Þat Mælti Mín Móðir, (which is what this awful translation is based off of) is incredibly melodic and sad, very high notes majority of the time.
@@swoops7687 yes but that song has been wrote by Egil Skallagrímsson, who was born in c.910, in Borg, Iceland. And then Snorri Sturluson translated it in: "The Sagas of Icelanders" in c.1220. So, i think we can imagine it being sang with rough vikings men voices, maybe while sailing. And not chorus-like. Then, we can't know exactly how the things were back in there.
Alina Gingertail is just an all round talent. I don't know an instrument she can't play.
I find the irish cover so amazing ! Three voices a cappella sounding like a whole crew !

each one has their own style and in a way beautiful in different settings. the Canadian feels like a mother singing a child to sleep , the Russian and German feel like it belongs in a cerimony, but Dan Vasc that beautiful man is the the one I would be blasting on a raid before the longboats hit the shores

Brazil is my favourite, followed by Austria. I have a love of metal covers of all music, but the Austrian guys voice was spot on for the song.
I'm from Canada and I'd usually go with my country's version but Russia definitely had the best and most historically accurate sounds and vocals

Each variation was great! I’m personally fond of Colm‘s and Alina‘s polyphonic performances, with the perfect vikingish alteration of sounds in the end
There is all the others showing beauty and power in the vocals and then there’s Dan doing what he does best
If you had Saltatio Mortis' version in there (I know, they only released it 5 days ago so too late for your video) that would have been my favourite by 0.5 points for including the icelandic lyrics. As it is, in this competition Dan Vasc takes the price imho.
His version is probably the best I have seen/heard. The video is just as epic
