This time you talked about the options offered by Resound, whether you can make a comparison between Resound, Widex, Phonak, Oticon, etc. which options are the same and which are unique for one brand. Each brand has its own name for those options, and this often confuses customers who don’t know what it is. When comparing smartphones, say iphone and LG smartphones, Iphone has some sort of screen called Retina HD, and LG has a screen called Superamoled and interestingly, both screens are manufactured by LG, Retina HD is just a marketing name used by Apple. He often advertises such names to attract more customers. Of course the iphone is not only that, but also other options, features, etc. So I would love if you would make some comparison with these names and the unique features they offer. Not to turn out to be ungrateful, thanks for this video, I think you give a lot more than any other youtube audiologist, I fall under the geek guy who wants even more, so don't take this as an insult :)
Hi Doc, I suffer from severe tinnitus and moderate hearing loss,I’m looking for your advice on these aids if they are the best bang for my buck, thanks again for your wonderful advice.
Hi Dr Cliff, l am now working my way into getting customised to my Phonak Paradise aids. Do these have an equivalent feature to the Resound One that you discuss today? Cheers.
This sounds good (no pun intended) but the Resound 3D app for iPhone is absolutely erratic for me. Is Oticon a better choice? I can still change with the VA.
So I just got diagnosed with CAPD and I’ve been recommend hearing aids and I was wondering if I absolutely have to get the premium hearing aids? I can afford the advanced ones but I have an active lifestyle and my doc is really pushing for me to have the premium but that’s an extra 1300 and I wanted to know if you think it actually makes a diff on CAPD with no hearing loss?
After three weeks I am not happy with the Resound ITE HAs. This video had streaming only to the left HA. Checked both the system settings (iPad) and Smart 3D. Both are connected to BT but the right HD just goes in and out.
I’m looking at buying aids January 1st. I’ve been planning on going with phonak paradise. Dr. Cliff, what are your thoughts on a comparison between the resound 1 cos. The phonak paradise?
Hi Dr Cliff, I was just cleaning my resound one receiver and a very tiny white cap popped off the back of the receiver and disappeared into my carpet. I went online to see if I could find that part to no avail. I’m wondering if the white cap is a cover for the inner ear microphone and if it’s necessary. Thanks for any info
All hearing aids have the potential to help with tinnitus. ReSound hearing aids also have additional tinnitus features that can be activated by your Hearing Care Professional.
I am a teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing in Illinois. I have families come back from their audiologist and say things like I have 50% percent hearing loss. I work with my students to understand their hearing loss, using their audiogram and explaining the different degrees of hearing loss. I try to educate away from the simple understanding of the percentage of hearing loss the doctor states, since I feel it is misleading. Would you be willing to make a video about how best to read and audiogram and why speaking in percentages is not best practice? Thanks
Dr. Cliff, I will need to get hearing aids shortly and you've covered tinnitus in prior videos. However, I also have MES (Musical Ear Syndrome) in one ear. It's actually pretty creepy. Can you please address MES in an upcoming video (even if just briefly touched upon) and if there are any ways to treat this. Thanks.
I wish the all access directionality worked behind the scenes but in my experience the constant changing of sounds from brightness to dullness back to brightness down to dulness and everything in between constantly changing is so irritating that I can't stand it and have to return them
Can I use these features if I can only hear in one ear reasonably well (using the same ear in a hearing aid)? Intention, one deaf ear, another ear with hearing impairment?
Are rechargeable hearing aids similar to cell phones in terms of battery life? Meaning the longevity of rechargeable hearing aids are shorter compared to disposable batteries? Lord knows I'd like to keep my Resound hearing aids as long as I possible can!
Most lithium hearing aid batteries are rated for 6 years and are replaceable. Most cell phone batteries start having issues after only 1-2 years and some are not replaceable.
I thought and I’m guessing the One would be useful for people who use desk phones at work where you can’t connect Bluetooth with your hearing aid. Since there’s a microphone in you ear you can just hold the phone to your ear like normal.

No offense taken. I agree, there are many trademarked terms in all tech sectors that make it difficult to do one to one comparisons.

Different manufacturers handle noise in different ways using different features. The features of the Phonak Paradise hearing aids are different.

Are ReSound One the same as Costco's Jabra Enhance Pro?

What is CAPD?

Are Eargo hearing aids any good?
Is ReSound One the only hearing aid with these background eliminating features?
With these particular features, yes. Some manufacturers also let you do some form of Ultra-Focus, just called a different thing.
Can the Linx3D's utilize this technology? It would seem that perhaps with a firmware update it would be possible.
Sorry, it cannot.
You helped me a lot
I'm deaf in my left ear. Do these hearing aids have CROS capability?
Yes I have a CROS on the right ear they just came out with it about 2 months ago .. phonak p90
Most of these features require the use of two hearing aids. If you have only one functioning ear, you will want to consider CROS or BiCROS technology.
can you arrange giveaway of hearing aid

This is one of the benefits that Advanced Bionics Cochlear Implant users experience as well.
I do get background noise with my hearing aid
I have tried most of the well known hearing devices I never liked them.
Their noise reductions is a lie.
