Bauxite has value for its color as a building block. It is also essential if you want to make steel as it is a key ingredient for all tiers of refractory bricks.
@theguyfromsaturn Gosh, I'll be honest this is getting so complicated now 😅 I wonder what the next stage will be. I'm assuming I need iron and copper for tier 3?
You really ought to start cooking in the cooking pot. That redmeat goes such a long way when cooked in the pot. Put one piece of redmeat in each of the 4 slots and cook it. Use your bowl and right click on the pot once it's cooked. That will produce one meal of hefty redmeat stew and it will satiate you for really long. If you put, for example 3 meat in each slot, you will cook 3 meals of hefty redmeat stew. Experiment with different recipes, the handbook will also guide you. You wont spend so much time needing to find food when you start cooking meals. When you cook 4 meals at once in the pot, they can all fit in a crock. You can carry that crock in your inventory and place it down to refill your bowl whenever you need to eat. It will honestly change the way you manage your hunger. Give it a shot, it's really worth it!
@@JoePNG. I'm not sure what month you're in at the moment. Your crops will take 2 in-game months, on average, to grow. If you are half way through september, I'd suggest only growing turnips and rye. Those can withstand slightly colder temperatures, which is important since they'll be harvested when it starts getting cold. If you're still in August, make that farm ASAP and plant everything that you have. EVERYTHING!
... and don't forget to plant more flax, then more flax. After that plant more flax, if you get lucky and find lots of flax, plant more flax. Then when you really feel like you have more than enough flax than you'll ever need, plant more flax. 😁

Thank you for that, I keep on forgetting about the cooking pot. I can find recipes in the guide, right? I'll do that right now :)
@@JoePNG. Yeah you'll find them in the guide. Give them a shot! Prepare for your life to be changed haha
@@mshambaPGrated Perfect, that will help in the winter. Also, should I build a farm right before winter, or no, that's a stupid idea...
