I am a Maryland based QPR fan and also a fan of my local club DC United. Rooney couldn't cut it here, I don't know what in the world these owners are expecting over there in a much more competitive league. I really like Plymouth being in the championship...it does not matter what players they bring in. They're toast.

My biggest concern about us having Rooney is that we are in a no win. If he fails we're toast but if he succeeds he'll just jump at the first bigger/northern club that calls - as per Messrs Lowe and Schumacher. Either way we'll be looking for a new manager by early new year again.

He is worth a punt he will get a clean slate here, Fact of the matter is with some comments relegation imminent there was probably a 75% chance we would struggle this season anyway so them type of comments is like water off a ducks back. The positives are that if the gamble pays off the club and Rooney will be rewarded as such.
